This place is amazing! I visited in January 2020 as my first stop on my dress hunt and ended up needing to go no further. Farah is awesome, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, more so I knew what I didn’t want so she asked some questions and did her thing and my dress was gorgeous. My fittings after that all happened during the pandemic and she and her team all took precautions but still made the process smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wedding dress/accessories. Thank you Farah!

Elegance by Roya was hands down the best in out of other stores I visited. I visited Elegance by Roya in Tyson and also old town but ended up getting the dress in old town with Farah. Elegance by Roya had the best selection of dresses with good pricing. Farah was amazing, she went above and beyond to get my dream dress for my special day. I am one of those picky brides, but I am very happy with the dress. Thank you so much Farah.

I was initially assisted by Miriam in finding the most beautiful dress which I never thought would be possible given how intricate the design is. I showed Miriam what I was looking for and she found a similar design immediately. Farrah helped with the fittings and everything in between. Farrah puts her heart into this work and when I say she is amazing, she is AMAZING. They rushed to get everything done in time and gave me the best advice on every little detail. Farrah’s sidekick (whose name I can’t remember) that helped with the fittings is just as amazing.The shop if FILLED with beautiful dresses and wonderful, helpful, and professional staff. This is a great spot to shop for a dress. The space is set up in a way that even with multiple brides being seen at once, I felt like I had a private appointment (we went to multiple shops in a day, this was my mom’s favorite for set up).I worked with Rachel, who was sweet, attentive, and just plain good at what she did. I talked, and she brought the dresses. I ended up in one that I really loved! Torn between that dress and another at a prior store, Rachel asked me to describe the other dress to her. I had the best experience with Elegance by Roya! The store is spacious, clean, great lighting, and has tons of options. I went to several other stores in NoVa/DC before ending up here and Im so glad I did. Farrah is AMAZING. I showed her pictures of dresses I liked, types of things I was looking for, and even specific dresses I wanted to try on. Based on the information I gave she picked a few dresses she wanted me to try on, and her selection was the dressed I ended up getting!! They really care about your experience and want to make sure you feel special. Unlike some other stores where they rush you out. From buying the dress, to my last fitting the entire team was great at communicating next steps and follow ups. HIGHLY recommend!

I worked with Farah at Elegance by Roya and could not have been more THRILLED with my experience from start to finish. Not only did my dress turn out to be everything I could have ever dreamed, Farah made sure to make the process enjoyable from start to finish - from always being flexible with my tricky schedule (my mom lives far away and wanted to be there for the fittings) to helping pick accessories and make some weird adjustments to a train that worked for both my high heels and sneakers for the reception. I could not recommend a wedding dress shop more!

Farah at Elegance By Roya did such a fantastic job helping me - from the minute I walked in the door my first visit to my final fitting, I felt like they really paid a lot of attention to me and what I was looking for. I visited a ton of bridal shops, but none of them provided customer service like Farah did. Highly highly recommend Elegance by Roya!! They did such a wonderful job, I trusted them wholeheartedly.

To be fair, both stores are beautiful. They have a wonderful selection of dresses and I felt like the initial appointments were handled well given COVID restrictions. My disappointment came AFTER I found my dress. I decided on a dress that I tried on during my very first visit to the Tysons location, and already had an appointment at the Alexandria scheduled for the next day (because I did not expect to find something so quickly). After deciding on the dress, I did a bit of research and found that the MSRP for my dress was significantly ($900) cheaper. I called several stores just to make sure that the pricing was not a one-off. After calling 6 other stores in and around the greater DC area, (and verifying that they were authorized dealers by the dress designer) I wanted to give my business to Elegance since that is where I tried on the dress. They would not honor the MSRP, which is fine, that is their prerogative. Fast forward a few weeks: I called to schedule an accessories appt. I called the Tyson Store, and the Alexandria Store as they both had veils and belts that I loved. When I called both stores to schedule, I felt the vibe change when they asked if I purchased my dress there. Once I said that I didnt they seemed standoffish. Tysons did not have any availability but Alexandria did and they had my original Stylist (Paola) call me back to make an appointment. She scheduled me I received email confirmation with my appt time. I called the day before my appt to ask if I could adjust my appt 30 min. She said that was fine and I again received email confirmation with the updated time. I then received an email from Ashley saying they had to cancel my appointment because they were only doing accessory appointments for Brides who purchased their dress there. WOW. In this economic climate they are turning down business? I immediately called to speak to Ashley to find out what was going on. I spoke to someone who said she was a manager and she relayed that my appt was indeed cancelled because they are only doing accessories appointments with bridal fittings. My question is why was this not explained when I called both locations? Why was this not explained when I made my actual appointment? Why was this not explained when I called and spoke to Paola to switch my appointment time? If this were a COVID restriction, that could have been easily explained but the issues seemed to be that I did not buy the (overpriced) dress from them. I am severely disappointed that they pick and choose when to enact certain policies. I will gladly take my business elsewhere. Obviously I had a healthy budget to begin with (or else I would not have come to this store, the items are not cheap), but why would I want to pay more than I need to? Anyone planning a wedding would agree that its smart to save where you can. Anyway, my suggestion is to do your research and spend your money where you feel valued. This is Washington DC, Bridal Boutiques come a dime a dozen. If you dont mind the drive, New Jersey and Delaware also have great Bridal Boutiques and do not charge sales tax. I understand this is a strange time we are currently in but communication is free. Planning a wedding is not easy during COVID. Finding a dress and accessories should be the fun part. I am really disappointed because I had my heart set on getting one of the belts that I tried on during my first two appointments. How can I purchase the belt, if I am being denied a 30 minute appointment? The sad part is that I have 2 cousins and a friend that are getting married within the next 18 months and not only was my business lost (even if it was just the accessories), but their potential business as well. Shame on me for being honest. Im sure if I said I hadnt purchased my dress from them YET, or wasted everyones time and disguised an accessories appt as a bridal try-on appt, I could have purchased my belt and veil. Oh well- got my dress, received excellent service where I purchased it from, and I will find my perfect accessories as well.

We worked with Skye and she was awesome. She understood the brides style and made sure she stayed in budget. She was also really great with our mom and aunts, she made it extremely clear it was about my sister and no one else. My mom was really touchy and invasive at other appointments and it ruined things.My sister found a great dress and we are super excited about starting alterations.

I worked with Farrah and she was absolutely amazing! She was patient, kind, and had a very calming presence. I told her the style I was going for, art deco, and she was able to suggest lots of dresses that were perfect and within my budget. I visited at least 5 other stores before going to Elegance by Roya and it was the only place that I didnt feel rushed. I wish I went there first and would have saved a ton of time and stress! Farrah also did all of my alterations and she did a beautiful job—Im so happy with how my dress turned out and love the French bustle! This dress shop was EXACTLY what I was looking for in a dress shop. From the second that I walked in, they made me feel special and important, something that had been lacking at the bigger chain bridal stores. I told them what I was looking for and they brought me a little bit of everything. THey were willing to work with me until I found my dream. Once I found my dream dress, they were incredible through the alteration process as well! They wanted to ensure my dress truly felt like MY dress!

Bought my dress off the rack. It was an Augusta Jones strapless dress and they worked with me to make a long sleeved lace jacket that would match. The final look was stunning. Like a completely transformed dress. This is the place to go if you’d like to made more dramatic alteration to your dress or if you’re going for a very specific dress.

My girlfriends and I went to Elegance by Roya recently and were so impressed by the entire staff especially Kristine. She was so personable, sweet, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Trying on larger size dresses makes it difficult to imagine the way a dress would look when it is sized, however Kristine took the time to point out exactly the end result would be once altered. She also made me feel extremely comfortable and it felt like she knew exactly what I was looking for. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding dress!!

Its just okay. The wedding assistant was pleasant and helpful. The space is narrow and goes deep in the back with two sides. The appointment seemed a bit short, one hour. The overall environment wasnt particularly warm or inviting, nor exciting about clients upcoming nuptials. I wouldnt go back, but I was just a family member observing... Who has purchased a fantastic dress from Marys Bridal in Annapolis, I should check if I reviews that!

This was the first boutique I visited & found my dream dress!! The associate that assisted me was amazing. I actually had picked out a different dress originally, went home & freaked out because this was the dress I really ended wanting (the other dress was still beautiful!) I went back the very next morning nervous as heck that I wouldn’t be able to change my order, it ended up working out & they were able to change it even though you really aren’t supposed to change it after you make the purchase. I’m so thankful I did my research & found this place! Thank you!

Farah and the staff at Elegance by Roya (Old Town location) were amazing to work with. Farah is one of the kindest people Ive ever met and worked with me to create the dress of my dreams. Shes also extremely knowledgeable when it comes to dress designs, fabric, etc. and I knew I was in good hands from day 1 of meeting her. She customized the dress to exactly the way I imagined it in my head, and made my dream wedding dress become reality in just 3 fittings! I absolutely loved the consultants here in Alexandria. Farah was like my bridal fairy godmother through the whole process! She knew exactly how to help me through the process! It is a very emotional and exciting experience, and she made it perfect. I absolutely LOVED my dress. Their selection is wonderfully chosen and the store is a beautiful place to shop!! Also, the tailoring was amazing. Soo many people commenting on how my dress fit me so well. I went to quite a few wedding dress shops and the dresses at Elegance by Roya were by far the cleanest. They were all in individually wrapped bags, which means if anyone is looking for a gown purchased at a Sample Sale, this is the place to go! I already knew the dress I wanted so the shopping process was pretty easy, but what I really appreciated was how transparent they were with costs. Especially when it came time for alterations - a lot of my friends have had nightmares with their alterations and I can say this was honestly the best part of the bridal experience. My only criticism is that they could not accommodate alteration appointments on the weekends so I had to take a few long lunches for my fittings, but they were also open on holidays (Memorial Day) which allowed me to sneak in a fitting without missing work! My dress was perfect on my wedding day and even though they equipped me with an emergency sewing kit, I didnt need it - the bustle and everything stayed perfectly!

Each time I went for a fitting was a joy as Farrah and the seamstresses understood how important the dress is to the wedding. I had the best experience working with Farah and the team at Elegance by Roya! After visiting nearly a dozen other bridal boutiques, I found my perfect gown at Elegance by Roya. Farrah handled my gown requests and fittings with ease. Even down to the week before my wedding, she went above and beyond to squeeze in extra fittings so that my gown looked perfect for my big day. In addition, she and the team at Elegance by Roya created a custom veil for me, using parts of my mothers veil. They handled her veil very delicately and took it upon themselves to preserve it as best as possible. Searching for the dress is easily one of the most stressful parts of wedding planning, but Farah and the team at Elegance by Roya put my mind to ease with their professionalism and dedication. Farah was an absolute delight to work with, and I would certainly recommend her to any bride in the Washington, DC area!

Kristine was my bridal consultant. She was absolutely amazing. She was very friendly and patient in helping me find my perfect wedding dress. My mom and I went to so many wedding gown shops, but none were able to help us. They even did alteration on my wedding dress the day before my wedding because I lost a little weight. These ladies are some of the best in the business! When I went dress shopping over a year before my wedding, it was the first dress store I walked into so I had an idea of what I wanted, but was understandably a little nervous and unsure. I worked with Farah, who was very welcoming and sweet. I told her a little bit about what I was thinking, my likes and dislikes as well as a picture of a dress I really liked and she got busy pulling things for me. The first dress I tried one was the one I ultimately ended up buying. To be sure, she had me try on a few different ones with different elements that I was unsure about, and while she had me step outside my comfort zone a bit never tried to put me in anything that I was absolutely opposed to. I went to two other shops that day, but still loved that first dress so my MOH called to see if we could come back. She was more than happy to have me back, put me back in the dress and veil so I could say yes to it!When it came time for my fittings, she was equally as pleasant and professional. She made sure I was comfortable with the fit (miraculously I only had to alter the straps, add in the cups and get a bustle) and scheduled me for my final fitting as close to the wedding as possible to make sure I had the perfect fit. When I came in for the final fitting, everything fit perfectly! She walked me through the bustle and how it was set up, including taking several pictures and videos to make sure I was all set on the day and my dress was a huge hit. Everyone thought it was beautiful and the perfect one for me. Definitely recommend anyone to work with her since she made me feel so comfortable and beautiful, I have sent one person there already and am going back with a friend to help her in her dress search soon! Amazing experience!! Everyone was super helpful and only pulled dresses in my price range and the look I was going for. I found a beautiful dress but wanted to think about it and they let me schedule a last minute appointment to go back and try and dress on again no problem. All of their dresses are gorgeous. I would highly recommend Elegance By Roya to any bride looking for beautiful dresses and great service. I looked at both locations (Tysons and Old Town) and had an excellent experience at both, finding my perfect dress at the Old Town location. My sister also found her wedding dress at the Old Town location a few years before me. We both have been 100% satisfied with our customer experience, from shopping, adjustments, and help with finding the perfect accessories. Definitely include Elegance by Roya in your dress shopping!I would recommend going to both locations as they have different dresses and styles (for example, I ended up liking an A-line dress shape more, and they had more of this shape in the Old Town location, but it was helpful to try different styles on at both shops to see what worked the best).

I found my dream dress here in the first dress that I tried on. The staff is amazing - I described the style of dress I was looking for and they knew exactly what to pull. I couldnt have been happier with the service I received from Farah. This was the 3rd store that we went to so I already had an idea of what was working and what was not. After a brief description of what I envisioned she was able to guide me towards some beautiful gowns and it only took 4 for me to find THE ONE. Im an 8/10 in clothing with some serious curves and Farah made me feel so comfortable through the trying on process. The shop is clean and they have a good range of prices and didnt make me feel poorly when I had a budget. Above all she made this experience about ME and Im so happy to be spending my $ with a small locally owned business.

My daughter, Caroline found the perfect dress here. Farrah was patient and helpful during the selection process and then during every fitting. The selection is wonderful and they are willing to order something that they may not have in their stock, as was our situation. Their gowns are kept in plastic and are clean and spotless, unlike other salons that offered us a glass of champagne and then tried to put my daughter in ripped, pulled and dirty samples. We left those salons quickly and immediately selected Elegance by Roya as the bridal salon we wanted to deal with. It was the best decision we made. Alterations were to perfection too!

I cannot recommend this place enough. You are with one consultant through the entire process: dress selection, fittings, and alterations, so you never have to worry about miscommunication. At my first visit, Farah listened to my ideas, likes/dislikes and pulled the perfect dress, which ultimately became THE dress, for me to try on first. Being the indecisive shopper that I am, she patiently spent hours with me trying on more dresses and re-trying THE dress back on over two different visits. I had always dreamed of a big bow on the back of my wedding dress. Although they did not have a dress in store like that for me to try on, Farah worked with me to design a custom made bow to be added so my wish became a reality. She also seemed genuinely excited to be creating this addition for me, which made the whole experience more enjoyable. The alterations were SPOT ON. It fit me like a glove. At Elegance by Roya are you not just paying for your wedding dress, you are paying for the overall experience, and I would use them, specifically Farah, again in a heartbeat.

What an amazing and easy experience! Kristine welcomed me and took the time to listen to what I was looking for. Then, she gave me some time to look through the dresses. Even though I didnt feel rushed at all, she still made the appointment efficient, which I think is so important in making it a pleasant experience. Based on what I told her, Kristine initially chose four dresses and I loved all of them! But, I also had a really easy time choosing the one. I found the perfect dress without even feeling like it took any effort at all. I ended up going with one of Royas originals, so I am especially pleased to know that I have a unique dress.

I purchased my wedding dress from Elegance By Roya in 2015, and Ive recommended it to several friends since. The experience was far by the best I had at any salon, a quiet laid back zero-pressure environment, I wasnt shown any dresses that were outside of my budget, and the Farrah was incredibly patient and so sweet. I returned for 3 fittings and each time Farrah took her time and I never felt rushed or pushed to make any decisions that I didnt want to. FIVE STARS!

This shop is reasonably priced for the level of service and the designer dresses available. They have a large range of styles, beautiful accessories, and they know how to put everything together to make you look just the way you want. They have dresses that are one-of-a-kind, and the more mainstream, but all are a little (or a LOT) nicer than a generic dress.I recently accompanied my sister to an appointment here. It was such a wonderful experience. There is ample seating for an entourage. The person helping us was very knowledgeable. My sister tried on some dresses she picked out and told the saleswoman what she liked and didnt like. The saleswoman knocked it out of the park. She made sure my sister considered other styles but wasnt pushy at all. Just gentle and suggesting, oh maybe you think this is nice. And if my sister said maybe she tried it on and if my sister said no, it was on to the next.She got the styling spot on with the veil and the belt. The tailoring at the place is exceptional and they can do a lot with taking things in and modifying a dress for a different neckline or slightly different fit. No wonder they are so busy and top-rated. Such a wonderful experience.

After 4 stores, and already purchasing a dress, I must say, I shouldve met Kristen first! My experience at Elegance by Roya (Old Town) was excellent. Kristine was more than accommodating to myself and my family. The stress of finding a second dress went out of the window thanks to her. I cannot thank her enough!

I could not be happier with this shop! After trying on a few dresses I pulled, Farah recommended a dress to try on and I fell in love. Farah listened to what I wanted and the theme I was going for and put me in a dress that made me feel the way every bride should feel! From the time I purchased the dress to my first fitting, I lost some weight, but Farah did an amazing job with the alterations and the dress looks beautiful and fits like a glove!! My daughter looked so spectacular in the gown we found here! None of the dozens of other gowns at other places were even a close second. Plus, Roya and Farah made the whole process to easy and fun. I had such a lovely and stress-free experience picking out my wedding dress! The gowns are beautiful and fashion-forward and the people were wonderful, with putting no pressure on me to make a sale. Roya ended up ordering a dress for me Id seen online but they didnt have in stock and it ended up being perfect -- I was SO happy! Alterations were quick and they fitted the dress perfectly to my body, like it was made for me. The shop itself is very boutique-like while still being inviting. Would recommend to any fashionable bride!

Arrived 15 minutes early to my 11am appointment only to be seen at 11:25am for an hour appointment. I was informed a dress could be placed on hold until 6:30 that night and I could return at 5pm with my mother because they had a cancellation. at 4:30 (that same day!!!!) I called and informed the staff member I worked with I was returning for the dress and she said come on in sweetie. When I arrived I was informed they had sold my dress and that I should have put a down payment on it. I WAS NEVER ASKED FOR A DOWN PAYMENT. I WAS INFORMED NO ONE WOULD EVEN TRY ON THE DRESS. I left crying with no response from the staff.

The dress ended up being a real hit for my wedding!! I really enjoyed working with Roya getting my dress to be perfect and affordable. She really knows her craft and is a real professional. The dress was gorgeous! I never expected it to come out as beautiful as it did. The dress was original (which you cant say about many dress shops), altered perfectly and ready for the event without any problem. I would recommend going to Roya for your wedding dress.

I cannot say enough about my experience with Roya, who transformed a beautiful but out-of-style family veil into something ethereal and timeless. With meticulous precision, she hand-sewed my grandmothers fragile 100-year old lace onto new veiling, and it is absolutely stunning with my daughter-in-laws wedding dress. She will be the fourth generation to wear that lace, and it has all been made possible by Royas imagination and passion for what she does. I cant imagine a more elegant, personal, satisfying experience than working with this wonderful salon and its owner.

This was my first time wedding dress shopping and my experience was great. Dani from the Tyson locations happen to be at the Alexandria location for my appointment and she was great ! Dani was patient , kind and informative. The boutique is small and clean. Although, i did not find my dress here i would recommend it.

I probably visited the store more times than I should have, but each time I went in for trials, Kathryn was a delight to work with. She is very patient and upbeat about the process. Location is ideal if you live in the DMV. I would recommend that they have a Champagne toast for future brides. The say yes process is a bit boring for something that should be celebrated.

Mother of the Bride Review of Shopping for Daughters DressAfter stops at a few of the Georgetown bridal shops, my daughter and I made an appointment with Roya at her shop in Old Town, Alexandria. Her professional and warm demeanor and wonderful dresses really set her apart. She clearly understands her brides and prides herself on working with each one individually in terms of style, price point, and any necessary alterations (yes, she does them in her shop and supervises all the work). Street parking was easy, and meeting up for fittings at the shop by way of Metro and car from DC was a snap. It would be difficult to find a more wonderful place to shop for a wedding dress.

If I could give 1000 stars I would! Roya, Mariam, Jacqueline & especially Farah have been soo helpful, sweet and professional throughout this whole process. As soon I walked in the Alexandria location 2 years ago, I knew the YSA Makino dress on the mannequin was too good to be true & over my budget. After my sister nudged me to just try it on, I fell in love with it & knew it was the dress. People always say youll know its the dress... & thats exactly how sparkly and magical I felt in that moment.Now 2 years later, my sister is getting married & of course got her dress from elegance by Roya (Tysons location)! We both ended up with Ysa Makino - such beautiful detail & the ballgown really makes u feel like a princess. Luckily, the only tailoring I had to get was just a little bit for the cleavage area. Hemming was perfect since Im 59.Elegance by Roya really does stand by its name. They are truly exceptional and definition of elegance. Please go stop by!!! I cant help but to spread the word to all future brides I have met.

Roya is amazing! From the moment I walked into the store, I felt like her attention was just on me. There is an intimate feel to her beautiful boutique. My dress was perfection!! It fit like a glove....her tailoring was exquisite!! She calmed all my fears and guided me in the best fit decisions. I received lots of compliments but more importantly, I felt like a princess in it. Highly recommend!!

I brought my dress, which I purchased from a different bridal shop, to Roya for alterations. They did an AMAZING job. Even though I loved the dress, it was not only too big for me but the style was not as suited to my figure as I would have liked. Roya worked with me to make the dress fit my petite frame in a flattering and feminine way. Not only that, but I cant say enough good things about their customer service! I had lost weight a week before the wedding and they did an emergency fix on my dress in two days! Wow, thank you Elegance by Roya.

Although I didnt end up purchasing my dress at Elegance By Roya, my experience shopping there was very pleasant. I worked with Farah during my visits and she is obviously very knowledgeable and has a good eye. I never had to compete for her attention and my appointments always started on time. The shop is located in a very convenient location as well, just right off of the King Street metro.

I happened to be in town for the weekend and didn’t have an appointment. But the staff at Roya’s were wonderful and worked me in on a Saturday! I had the pleasure of working with Chelsea and she was a dream to work with! She saw my vision and pulled wonderful options for me. Roya’s salon had a well curated collection, classy picks from a wide range of wedding visions. Chelsea pulled a dress for me that was perfect... but what was even more perfect was the fact that they didn’t push the sale. They were completely supportive of me taking the night and gave me another appointment the next morning. We came in the next morning, tried on a few more dresses but nothing compared to my dress! I said YES to the dress! Now I can’t wait for it to get in! Thank you Roya! I would recommend them to anyone, anytime! Thanks again team, you made our weekend!

I ordered my dress from them at least 4 months ago which is seeming like a bad idea. Their follow up just isn’t the greatest. I made an appointment for my initial consultation arrived with one of my bridesmaids and they just kind of looked at us like “why are you here” there was one other young lady trying on dresses. We stood around for about 10 mins while they sorted things out and ensured an appointment. The young lady who was working the receptionist desk (her names escapes me) was very friendly and got me a few dresses and made room for me to try them on. I tried on a few. Settled on one. Let me just be clear and 100% honest I, obviously had gone to a few other bridal boutiques where the small things really made a difference and if they’d had my wedding gown I would’ve gotten it from them instead. There was no “excitement” “yes to the dress moment” champagne or anything at all when I found my dress. It was oh you’ve found the dress great... sign, sign, sign and let me swipe your card and get on to the next person who just walked through the door which really sucks! Ive since then not been contacted (I was told my dress should take about 3 months to come in) I’ve called and inquired about it and no one seems to know anything about my order-WHICH IS CRAZY! There was no follow up to even send an email to say oh thank you for purchasing, etc, etc. or here’s so much as a small momentum to make you love us. If they can’t find something out about my order soon I am going to have to research elsewhere and find bridesmaids dresses too— what a nightmare. I mean I do understand it’s a business and you get a lot of demanding brides , I too am in the wedding industry planning and catering but goodness. They don’t give you the warm and fuzzy feeling a girls looking for. ️Update: they contact me to update me on when my dress should be arriving.. via The Knot. So I got an email from the knot saying:you’ve got a new message—that I almost didn’t. I honestly used the knot mostly to find vendors and haven’t signed in since. While I am super grateful for them reaching out this again goes back to the personalized touch that is lost somewhere. A phone call would be nice from a warm voice on the other day. I mean I did leave my phone number when I paid for the dress. Hopefully when I go back in for my fittings things will have improved.

After going to several shops prior to finding Elegance By Roya, and being very frustrated by the constant streams of , No, this is not possible to do; Roya said yes! I had purchased a strapless gown from another store, however I wanted to add lace sleeves to it. Roya was so positive, and so supportive of what I envisioned that I wanted the gown to look like,that I am overjoyed at the end result! Roya surpassed my very high expectations to the point that I cannot say enough for the quality of her workmanship, her professionalism, and her positive attitude throughout! I even brought my future daughter-in-law in to look at her gorgeous array of belts that she also designs, and we walked out of the store with an absolutely perfect belt that will add such beauty to her gown! I am very grateful for all her help, and I would encourage anyone who is looking for a most unique and special one-of-a-kind gown to come to her. She is the best at what she does, and will do anything and everything to make that special day perfect! I am deeply appreciative, thank you Roya!

Horrible service and follow up by Farrah. Their reviews are questionable. Go somewhere else. Sooner or later online shopping and better customer service will wipe these people out.

Amazing service and quality! My dress was simply perfect! The process was also perfect! I had friends who were getting married at about the same time as me and had such drama which their dresses, but not me! She made the alterations that we discussed when she said she would and it went off without a hitch! And did I mention the dress was one of a kind? Designed in house, but still cheaper than a lot of the dresses I looked at in the area! Thank you for everything!!

I had excellent experience with elegance by roya in old town. The prices are fair and the quality is good. The employees are so friendly and have a lot of patience, especially Farah is the best, I would recommend her to every bride. I also went to the store in tysons corner, the employees have attitudes which I didnt like...

I went to try on dresses yesterday and it was a great experience! The only reason I am giving 4 not 5 stars is because the selection offered wasnt too large. But I got lucky and found what I was looking for. Thanks to Kristine for making me feel beautiful!!!

I have been coming to Roya at Elegance Boutique for years, she has made multiple alterations for me as well as making my custom wedding reception dress.The store is not only beautiful but her and everyone that works there is incredibly professional and great at what they do.I have always had a positive experience and would highly recommend her for anything from small alterations to custom dresses!

I had a wonderful experience at Elegance by Roya! I think this is one of the best dress shops in the DC area, in terms of selection, quality, price, and service. I highly recommend and could not be happier. I received so many compliments on my dress; the dress I purchased was beautiful and the owner, Roya, was extremely gracious and accommodating with helping me find the dress and with the alterations. I wish she sold other items so I could return!

My overall experience was good. I LOVED my dress. It was everything I could have imagined and more. All of my interactions with the store and the employees were fantastic. From actually going and picking out the dress to all the fittings and taking it home. I thought the pricing was fair and I never had any issues with scheduling an appointment or getting anything done. My big issue is with the dress on my actual wedding day. I had straps added on to a strapless dress. On my final fitting everything seemed to be fine. The dress fit great! The straps seemed secure and exactly in place. The bustle was a French bustle and she showed my mom how it was supposed to be done. We took the dress home with us and my wedding was 3 days later. Day of as Im getting dressed, my mother is buttoning my dress and notices a button is missing from my dress (issue number 1). Less then 30 minutes later as I raise my arms I hear a tear and part of my strap has started to come apart (issue number 2). The ceremony hasnt even started yet! After we get through the ceremony and the pictures its time to bustle me and it comes to our attention that the bustle is wrong/missing buttons (yet again) and I cannot have the correct bustle (issue number 3). So my Coordinator has to do the best he could to tie my dress up in some fashion that looked very unattractive. I didnt even make it to the Father Daughter dance before my strap completely broke after giving a hug to my MOH after her speech and had to run into the bathroom so my Coordinator could sow my strap back onto my dress! I would just like to say my straps cost almost $500 and we spent over $700 on alternations! Overall I still love my dress and it looked AMAZING. However I am very disappointed in the work that went into sowing them on. I didnt even make it 2 hours in my dress and they were already tearing! I spent a lot of money on that dress and expected it to last at least until the end of the night.

I had my first bridal appointment last week and Farah assisted me throughout the process. Not only did I find my dress, which is gorgeous, but Farah was hands-down absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. My party and I were very pleased with her service and the way she assisted us. I am pleased that I purchase my gown from Elegance by Roya.

Tiny selection, impersonal experience, filthy floors. The experience I had here wasnt as personal as the other shops I went to. I told the associate multiple times I wasnt comfortable with low-cut dresses, which was all she pulled, and at one point she actually snapped at me and said even with alterations?! I dont have a lot to spend on alterations, and her attitude was frustrating, as altering the entire shape of a dress isnt something Im looking to do. They also have a tiny selection - they didnt have any of the five Pronovias dresses I wanted to try, and I didnt find a single dress I liked. The floors in the tiny cramped dressing rooms were also coated in hairs and dirt.

I had a wonderful experience thanks to the manager Farah and Kristine! I would totally recommend this place for every bride to be! I’m so glad I visited this store!

Elegance by Roya is a beautiful boutique with amazing gowns, and Royas energy was so positive and infectious that I knew I would have my gown created there. And I felt she was very affordable!Every visit/fitting with Roya was a pleasure. She was consistently attentive to my ideas and my desires, and always gave wonderful input and suggestions to make sure an amazing piece came to life. Her talent and ability were apparent at every fitting, as adjustments and alterations were easily made with care and consideration. I just picked up my gown last week and I am incredibly happy with the final product! She created something truly beautiful and unique--it is both a one-of-a-kind AND a sentimental piece with much of the original fabric and feel of my mothers original gown.I would without a doubt recommend Royas boutique. I wish I had read the reviews on yelp about Roya before I went there. Please check yelp as others have had similar experince as I had. I bought one of her already made dresses that were on the rack. First of all I felt she charged me a lot for the dress that was already on the rack, because she realized that I did not have much time and needed a dress soon. Secondly, I felt I was not prioritized as a client. she had a positive and can do attitude but just something about her didnt seem right. She did not have to do much alterations, only the back had to be taken in couple of inches and the dress had to be shortened. she had shortened the dress with pins during my fittings but was not shortened when I put the dress on on my wedding day, the dress was at least 6 inches too long, I could not walk and it dragged on the floor. On my last fitting I even asked her to make the dress shorter on the sides as I felt the sides were too long, but she did not, these were simple, very important and necessary alterations that she had not done. She just did not care. I could not walk, I could not dance, the whole night I had to hold my dress up to walk and dance. It looked and felt horrible. I was very angry with her. Then the pictures came and I felt even worst looking at the pictures, seeing how long the dress was... DO Not go to her. She will sweet talk you but she is not to be trusted.

Something Ive learned in shopping for bridal gowns is that the character of the boutique is at least as important as the gown itself in determining whether you buy a dress. Elegance by Roya is the height of elegance, and is a perfect place if you want a shopping experience where youre the only one in the store and you trust the consultant enough to pick out the best gowns for you to try on. It is also a great place to go if you are looking for a wow-the-crowd gown complete with sparkles and train, and if you have a fairly sizable budget. Despite the fact that I like a lot of designers that Elegance stocks, my consultant didnt pull a single gown that wowed me, didnt understand what I wanted even though I brought in several pages of examples, and wouldnt let me look through the racks myself to find something I liked. Unlike consultants at other stores I went to, she didnt try to chat with me or find out more about the overall look and feel of my wedding. She didnt respond to my attempts to chat with her. I fully believe that things would have been different had I come in with a $5,000 budget or a gaggle of bridesmaids to fill up the silence. Instead, the whole experience felt stiff and uncomfortable and I ended up buying a gown at a place that was more my style.

Had the absolute best experience at EBR and I am very grateful for all the help. Roya and her staff did a fantastic job sticking with me and satisfying all of my needs with everything I was looking for!! Couldnt be any happier!

I can not say enough good things about Roya. I came to the store first looking for a wedding dress to my best friend. We found a perfect dress for her. So, when it is my turn, it was my first only store to go to. Roya listens well and understands what the client wants. Telling her what I wanted, she picked me a perfect dress for my style. Actually, my dres was designed and made by her. She was very helpful in making the minor adjustments for the dress and always very attentive during subquent my appointments for the fitting. She also carries beautiful accessories (hair pieces and belts). Her store is clean and well-organized. In addition, she is very personable, warm and easy to talk too!! Over all I have a wonderful experience with her.

Roya did a phenomenal job with my wedding dress. I had a good friend design it and Roya executed it beautifully. And she was very accommodating - late in the game when I was not satisfied with a part of the dress and it would require starting a part of it over, she obliged and made it to order. That is the sign of a professional. She didnt balk at the suggestion at all and really wanted to make sure I got what I wanted. Ive had many people tell me that it was the most beautiful wedding dress they ever saw.

Im not sure that hated it would even describe my feelings towards this place. I have never been around such horrible customer service in my life. The manager of all people, who should have been the most helpful, turned away our service because we missed our appointment due to an accident that was not our fault. My friend fell in love with a dress online and we drove three hours away from home to hopefully purchase this specific dress. It was too much trouble for them to even squeeze us in. When we told them we would take our business elsewhere, the MANAGER herself said nonchalantly, okay. Our business did not mean ANYTHING to her! After being extremely disapointed by Elegance, we chose to take our business to Davids Bridal, and got the ROYAL treatmeant then WITHOUT an appointment! Thats the kind of service that should be offered to a bride trying to find her perfect dress for her special day!!!

My experience was horrible. I drove almost three hours for an appointment with them, i was 1/2 mile away from the shop and was involved in a car accident, of course we called ahead to let them know we would be running behind, she said on the phone for us to still come. We arrived at the shop and she was the rudest person ive ever been around. Im the bride to be and she made my already horrible day even worse. I would not recommend Elegance by Roya to a single person. Beware of the horrible customer service you will receive.

I went here because they carry Willowby by Watters gowns according to Royas website. They do not carry these gowns, and the woman helping me was pretty dismissive when I pointed this out. Will not be returning.

LOVED the bridal experience. I was able to come in a find a wonderful lace gown. the prices are affordable and she works within you budget. I purchased a gown by the designer Roya. This gown was gorgeous and rivaled designers of Maggie Sottero and Midgley.The fit was great, and alterations to make the dress have a different neck line or waist worked well. She has an array of belts, accessories, and veils. Also, they were timely with orders and alterations as well as efficient, professional, and customer friendly. They also had a variety of top notch DESIGNER DRESSES. I would definitely recommend this boutique to any bride!!!Also, even if you purchase a gown from another store they will alter it. I had a Islamic kaftan as well and they made great adjustments to the dress to fit me properly. They handles both my Christian White Wedding Dress and altered my Green and Gold Muslim Kaftan.THE DRESS WAS A HUGE SUCCESS. IT WAS GREAT AND I LOOKED GORGEOUS ON MY WEDDING DAY!!!!!THANK YOU SO MUCH ROYA!!!
