Not Trustworthy! We purchased our Pilot from this dealership about 1.5 years ago and had a good experience with the sales team. Per their suggestion, we had our first oil change at the dealership. For the second oil change, I took the vehicle to a small local quick-shop. At that appointment they mentioned that damage had been done to the pan threads at the first oil change and I should take it back to have it examined. So I took it back to Honda and after waiting an hour the assistance service manager told me that basically it was the other service providers fault and he encouraged me to schedule an appointment with Honda to (pay myself) to have it fixed and also pay for a new oil change because the filter was leaking. The next day I called a third party service provider for a quote and to ask about the situation. Without seeing the car they thought it was an issue that would have been caused at the first oil change (with Honda) or at least the part would be under warranty. I called the Service Manager who very defensively insisted that Honda was not responsible and though he kept saying he didn’t like to blame others that it was the other guys’ fault citing some new information (which I have yet to confirm) that I was not told at my original visit. He said Honda was a multi-billion dollar company and they’d pay for mistakes if they were theirs. Of course he didn’t apologize that his service guy had tried to charge me for something they were now insisting should be paid for by someone else. He said they would write up their inspection so I could use it and they would assist however I needed. Three weeks have passed in which I’ve written a follow-up email and left a voicemail and I have received NONE of the promised assistance. So now I will likely need to pay for this issue that could have been resolved with honesty. IF it wasn’t their fault, they should have originally offered to help settle the issue with the other provider instead of trying to charge me. But considering I haven’t heard anything from them since, I think the issue was probably their issue and they just don’t want to admit it. I don’t trust them at all and I am very unsatisfied. I will NEVER go back for service here again. Beware!

Simple, easy, no stress. Best way I can describe it. Showed up they even let me bring in my homework to work on while I waited for my oil change and tire rotation. They completed a full vehicle inspection and also gave my car a free rinse off cleaning. I asked if there were any discounts or specials going on and he found one for me. Always a good thing. Truthfully they said the whole process was going to take an hour and a half. They were done within 45 minutes. I didnt get much school work done because they were so quick but Im not complaining. All and all good place to go for your Honda, people were friendly, and explained everything along the way.

Went to Honda to see what my options were regarding trading in a financed car and getting into a Honda Civic I loved. Stephen Alamillo and Michael McKinnon helped me out a ton. They knew how to make a more-than-great deal. They didn’t let me leave without driving off with the car I test drove. Now I’m happiest in a newer, more reliable car. Thank you to everyone there.

BEST SERVICE! While driving across country, we noticed our skid plate had not been bolted in after an oil change weeks prior. We took a chance and stopped at Garcia Honda where Lee in service took our car immediately in and had us back on the road in 10 mins.

I have not experienced such bad customer service in ages. When I leased my Honda, they told me to bring it in for service every 5-7000 miles. I did that the first time. Then I had a notice for a recall. I scheduled an appoint for service and they told me that it was going to take at least 3 hours and they had no loner. So I had to wait until it was convenient for me to take off a half-day of work. I had to miss the appointment in September due to work. I called to reschedule and they told me not to come in until I needed the oil change and that when I saw the red light come on then I should call to reschedule. So I waited for the red light to show up. That took a few weeks. Then I had to wait for a time I could take a half-day off. Last week I called to schedule it for today, they confirmed it would take at least 3 hours and I should wait or get a ride. I live in Placitas so that is not convenient for anyone. I brought it in and Tristin confirmed they were doing to do the recall of the steering wheel and that it was due for tire rotation. He told me to be comfortable for 3 hours at least. I sat and waited. at 3.4 hour I went to check. They were unable to take care of the recall because they did not have the item in stock. Can you imagine that I became a bit irritated. They also did not have to do the rotation. He asked if I wanted to reschedule for the recall and I said no. You all can wait two more years for the car to come back in from the lease agreement. My time is more valuable, and the lack of communication and service is less than desirable. On top of that, the usual complimentary car wash they typically do did not happen either. So frustrating.

The salesperson that I worked with was amazing and he was able to get me the car that I wanted. My issue isnt with him at all, he would get five stars, but rather with the financing process. I received a paper documenting what great deal I could get if I came in in September and upgraded my car in the month of September. I printed out that paper and brought it with me. The paper was taken from me at some point in the process to show someone. This meant I didnt have anything to compare the offer to. I was a little overwhelmed with the whole process (my fault) so didnt really understand the difference in the deal on that paper and what was offered to me. It wasnt until I got home that I realized the paper was one year less at about the same price monthly than what I walked away with. They also somehow had the loan payoff amount including my payment for September. I hadnt paid this when I went. This meant I had to pay for September on my old car, even after I had already traded it in. I was expecting to get the money back after but contacted the credit union and Honda sent the check amount with the September payment which meant I got nothing back.1) Make sure if you come in with an offer that you keep the paper to be able to compare.2) Write down your total loan payment for any other vehicle on that paper so the dont have you pay an extra payment.3) Preferably go with another person so you both can make sure they arent giving wrong information.It was my fault for being naive and trusting what they said. Ill have to find a different Honda dealer in the future. An expensive lesson in my life but thought I would leave this if it might help someone else out.Edit: Tried calling the number mentioned but there isnt an option to speak to Mike.

I made an appointment 24 hours in advance to test drive a Honda Clarity plugin hybrid. When I arrived the salesperson I made the appointment with wasnt there and they did not have my appointment scheduled. The Clarity they gave me to test drive did not have a charge in its hybrid battery.

I have seen Garcia Honda Dealership at there best when I bought My first car with them in 2006, Honda Odyssey in 2013 and today we Bought Honda Civic for my Daughter.with Some bed experience with sales manager and store Manager.I have had nothing but 5 Honda vehicle at one point.Customer service is most important thing for me and I think I will have to see how they take care me overall going forward to buy any Honda Vehicles in the future.Today’s experience is far worse then any buying car experience in pass.It’s ok if sales person or service technician makes little mistakes but I never seen a Manager of the store come and accuse customer for no reason without even introducing him self.I hope Manager change there Dealerships to there best and prove me wrong.I didn’t have good experience today hopefully that will change in the future with there Manager attitude towards Existing customers.

Garcia HondaAug 27, 2020I’m beyond disappointed with the service I have received... from the Honda service center at Garcia Honda. I’ve been more than patient understanding and civilized about the incompetence of the service provided by what I thought was a highly reputable dealership. After making an appointment for a airbag recall. I thought I would also have anAC diagnostic since my wife has had trouble with it for some time. The experience goes south from here. I’d rather have a root canal everyday for a month straight than to ever have to relive this experience another day. However at the end of the day I would have to accept some responsibility for not running instead of walking to the nearest exit. This dealerships service center should be shut down and prohibited from working on any vehicle period. The amount I was charged for shabby AC repair is embarrassing close to $2,000. 1st 2nd and now 3rd time I have returned vehicle in less than two weeks and it’s a different story each time and still have NOT fixed the problem. I’m outraged to say the least. After seeking legal assistance in dealing with this problem it had been suggested that I allow them the chance to properly repair and write the wrong and actually fix the car. POTENTIAL FUTURE CUSTOMERS YOU HAVE BEEN WORNED. If I preformed and did my job in this manner, I am certain I wouldn’t have a job. Out Right shameful......ZERO STARS OUT OF INFINITY.. with that said, unfortunately what I have mentioned up to this point is a tiny fraction of the nightmare. As much as I would like to continue the tirade manifesto I am completely baffled as to the level of incompetence across the board that exists at this dealership. Maybe a suggestion to management lead by example take some responsibility, and certainly stop passing the buck to the Customer Service Agents who are only doing their best, rather than leaving them to take the heat and explain away management’s short comminglings. I can’t wait for the response from this review. As I am aware from Honda Corporate Motors, dealerships are independently owned and operated, However Corporate is watching.......

They are very through with showing you your vehicle of choice, also not to mention patient with you car buying experience. I am a first time buyer they helped me all with everything and getting me set up. Carrie was fantastic! My vehicle had a warranty service that required me to leave it at Garcia Honda for a little over 1-week. Carrie provided updates on when parts and services would be ready. She also communicated directly with the regional American Honda representative to confirm that such repair was covered under the 5-year power train warranty. The vehicle was also washed.

At mile 800 or so of a 2200 mile trip, my cars check engine, air bag and traction control lights went off about an hour outside of Albuquerque. So I took a chance and drove the 60 miles since the car was running fine, and decided to swing it by Garcia Honda to hopefully have a diagnostic run on it. Also being around 4/4:30 pm in the afternoon when I brought the car by, I knew my chances of getting anything done were slim, or so I thought. Carrie and Nathaniel, hopefully I didnt misspell the names or get them wrong, but they absolutely took care of me. I was simply hoping to get a thumbs up on hitting the road, simply that it was drive-able for the next 1400 miles.They thought they could squeeze me in, since I was only asking for a diagnostic and there had been a slow start with my car the previous two months with no solution found. Luckily they got my car on a diagnostic identified the codes, told me the car was lean on fuel, meaning the air - gasoline mixture was not as much as it should be. Within an hour, they said as long as the car is running fine, you should be ok, but pull over and get it towed if anything starts to feel different. I took their advice, and made it the whole trip home without another issue, and the codes havent come up, but taking it to the shop to get it fixed this week. I just wanted to thank everyone, Carrie & Nathaniel (I really hope I remebered your names correctly) for taking good care of me and getting me back on the road really quick. I ended up driving 2200 miles in 2 days without any further issues. Thanks so much !

SM was nice, articulate and all around cool dude. Unfortunately, those things do not fix cars. Not impressed and would love to talk with a service manager and or owner. GREAT BUYING EXPERIENCE! I started looking for an SUV a few weeks ago. I looked at many makes and models over many dealerships. Ultimately, I decided to buy from Garcia Honda because of their trustworthy sales team and reliability. Ivan Orozco, my sales person, was very polite and professional, which in car sales is a rarity. I never felt pressured and I felt that Ivan really listened to my specifications and went above and beyond (staying late and bringing vehicle to me) to get me into the right vehicle for my needs. First thing, I called this morning & the man who answered was very informative and polite & he greeted me once I arrived & led me to his best salesman.John was my salesman & he was very polite & helpful. I hate to give one star but García Honda customer service was not good despite been previous customer of theirs, they said they will call me back with offer for trade value and did not. I bought a 2016 Civic Ex-T from them back in 2016 and went to go trade in and was offered only 7500 for it, yes carfax report had a wreck on it from an accident I was in 2017. Lexus offered me 10,000, Houston auto sales 10,000 or 11,500 for my trade in and Toyota who I ended up making a deal with offered me 10,500 with no APR% I will never do business with García Honda on Lomas again!

My experience here started off decent. I had scheduled servicing for my AC to be diagnosed. The front was blowing warm and the back unit was blowing hot. Prior to arriving, I had been promised a rental because I had errands to run. When I got there, they told me I couldnt have a rental because I would be going out of the mile range. However the technician was nice enough to schedule me in later that day. So I went back around 1pm, and was given a loaner because they were backed up. Closing time was 6pm and it had reached 5pm and I still had not recieved a call from them so I called and they said it was ready. They had found that my refrigerant was low and that I needed an evac and recharge and an cabin air filter change but that it would cost me a total of $410! Naturally, I declined because that sounded incredibly inflated. I went to pick up my vehicle and now the front AC was blowing hot. Something seemed off.A few days later, I called back and didnt mention that I had already been there and spoke to someone in the service department. I asked what their normal process for an AC diagnostic was, I was told that the tech does an automatic evac and recharge and if that fixes the problem, that it but if that doesnt work and further diagnostic work is needed then I get charged more. That was not how my AC diagnostic work went. I spoke with the technician who supposedly did the work on my vehicle and he admitted he had done the wrong thing and was very apologetic. I asked to speak with the service manager, Andrew. I called for a week and left voice messages and never got a call from him, it wasnt until after a week the assistant service manager returned my call and offered to have me pay extra for the evac and recharge but I said I didnt feel comfortable going back as I didnt feel confident in the work previously provided and that I wanted a refund so I can take my service elsewhere.In the meantime I had gotten a second opinion and within 45min they found that there was a motor in the back that was broken. It was going to be $650 to fix it. I informed the assistant manager of this and that had they properly diagnosed my vehicle they would have found that. She argued with me that she wouldnt not refund me because they had looked at my vehicle even though they didnt do what I went there for. Nothing was resolved. I will not be going back there.

Mike, the sales manager, assured that I was taken care of with the inclusion of babysitting my kids while I was completing the buying process and having my wife approve the purchase. His sales team, especially Steven Baca are professionals and knowledgeable to answer any questions regarding every facet of the buying experience. Starting with the initial interview to financing, they did not put the typical full court press of high-pressure sales tactics one might find at most dealerships. My experience here was first feeling taken for a ride by the sales person. Then being treated incredibly unprofessionally by a disrespectful manager named Mike when I was simply asking for the car manual that was supposed to be in the car but wasnt and had to be replaced. Now Im here to get my oil changed and the service guy tells me that the tires on my car are no good. I was told in October by Andrew the salesman, less then a year ago that they were brand new?? This is a racket!! Who runs a business like that?? Thats a downright lie!Update: I just spoke to a very sincere and kind Stephen (sp?)from the service department, he was genuinely concerned about what was going on and took his time to walk me back to a waiting area so he could find a manager to address my concerns. Within a little while another manager came and sat down with me and explained that they had a team working on my issue. Finally Andrew the service manager (not the salesman)came to speak with me, he is a lovely man and so is Matt the store manager ( who has always been responsible and respectful in my past interactions). They apologized for the situation and reassured me that they were going to make it right by putting brand new tires on and aligning the car free of charge. I think there are some folks here who really are good people with integrity and I think there are some not so great people here who can hopefully be trained better or sorted out. Overall though, I wholeheartedly believe that its not how you fall down that counts, its how you get up! There are some stand up people at the top of this dealership and thats something that matters a lot to me. My advice to patrons is make sure you know what you want in a car and how much its market value really is. Make sure the person who is helping you is doing their job properly and helping you pick the right car and payment you can afford, SHOP AROUND!. After this experience I wouldnt say this is a bad place to buy a car, Id say this isnt a united front. I think there are people who actually care about their customers here, you just have to find them. Id strongly suggest calling and asking for Stephen or the manager Matt, tell them what you are looking for and I know they can take care of you.

Bobby was the sales guy who had reached out to me and 1 thing I have to say so far about him/company is poor listening skills and customer service.... explained everything about what I was looking for etc all to keep repeating myself for the past 2 hours on the info, what I was looking for the info on the car and my ckncerns..... called the place directly all to be waved off instead of being helped by another sales person which I was trying to get so I. Can see about a trade in.... dont think I would go back to them to look for a new vehicle

Felt very uncomfortable when I went here. As soon as we got out of our vehicle we were approached by a gentleman. We told him we were just looking at the vehicles. We mentioned we needed to use the restroom. He showed us where they were, and then waited for us outside the restroom. He followed us to the door and tried to get us to sit down to talk about the vehicles even though we said we wanted to look at them. I suffer from anxiety and the way he kept following us around made me extremely nervous and a bit panicky. While we were looking at the vehicles another gentleman came and starting asking us questions eventhough this other gentleman was already following us around like a little puppy. We ended up just leaving after looking at 2 or 3 cars.

The very first thing they asked us about was what we wanted in a car. They have excellent customer service and we didnt feel pressured to buy anything day-of like we have at other dealerships. Because of this, we came back when they had exactly what we were looking for at a great price. We are very happy with the Honda Pilot we got here. We wouldnt hesitate to come back in the future.

Waited for over 2 hours to buy 2 Honda bikes was never helped, claimed there was no sales person anywhere at Honda for over 2 hours, brought a uhaul from Santa Fe and didn’t even get to buy the bikes had cash in hand to never even offer..... worst experience even on top of that I’m young and black and felt racially profiled from the beginning, nobody that worked there even said can I help you, hello, or anything for over 2 hours sat on the bike and just waited..... never again

I went for an oil change and multi point inspection on Feb 21. One of the service reps broker a piece of the clamp on the engine air fill box and not only didn’t tell us, he didn’t fix it. We saw it the next morning. Thank goodness we are meticulous about our car.One of the service people assured us twice that our fluids were topped off. Well when we returned the car to be fixed, turns out the never even inspected our fluids.they not only lied, but they were reckless with our car, negligent, and dishonest.All they were conceredm about was to try to sell us cabin and air filltets that we didn’t need. Also cabin and engine filters that cost less than $15 each that we can replace with no tools in less than 5 minutes!Unbelievable. I warn anyone who comes here to be very careful!

They are the worst. I asked it their Fair Market Price they wouldnt budge from (the top of the KBB) includes the fact that the economy is crashing, nobody is allowed on the lot, and unemployment is the highest since the depression. The online sales person accused me of trying to take advantage of them. I looked at their new cars and they were priced $2,000 above this certified pre-owned. At the time, Honda was offering a Loyalty incentive of $1,000 if you own another Honda. That would bring the difference to $1,000 for a used vs a brand new, current model car. The dealer did not mention this to me. Carvana also offered me more money for my used Honda, negating this Loyalty incentive...talk about Loyalty. Happy to switch all my vehicle to Toyotas and especially not have to deal with Garcia Hondas BS!

John Silva is truthful, WOW! We bought a much needed prowled Toyota Tacoma truck and Nate worked with us to make it affordable. The sales department here was very disappointing. While getting my current car serviced, I wandered through the showroom looking at each vehicle. Four salesmen carried on their conversation and couldnt be bothered to come talk to me. I had many questions and found a vehicle in their inventory I was interested in test driving. Their sales force secured my future car purchase will be elsewhere.That said, my oil change went smoothly!

Starting with the sales agent Steven, product specialist Cary Carr, and Jose on the finantial department. Terrible service! Worst experience at any dealership! I took my car into the service department to fix a noise I was hearing. They fixed it, but when I came to pick up the car, I found that my glove compartment, trunk, and center bin were completely empty. I told them that my stuff was missing, and I assumed that one of the technicians had probably emptied them out. (It would make it easier to hear the noise if everything that could jiggle around was removed.) The service manager came over and apologized, telling me that the car must’ve been broken into. (Who would steal an owner’s manual?) Let me be clear: I never once insinuated that the car was broken into – I just assumed that the stuff had been misplaced. But he told me it must have been, without even checking to see if the stuff was laying around anywhere. (His argument: His technicians would never steal anything…but I never once insinuated that they had. I still believe that it was just a case of misplacing a few items.) Still, he refused to even listen to me at that point. I then asked for a discount to cover the cost of the lost items, and I also told nearby customers that cars were being broken into. (Note: The service manager told me that my car must have been broken into; I was just repeating his statement to other customers since he wouldn’t listen to me.) He immediately got angry and started yelling at me – telling me that I was harassing his customers and he wasn’t going to give me anything for my lost items. Again, I was literally repeating what he told me! If he was going to argue that my car had been broken into while on their property, then all customers have a right to know about it. Finally, he refunded me the total cost of the repairs (which I didn’t ask for) and told me bluntly to get off the property and never come back. (He even told me that I was trespassing when I tried to reason with him!) All of this drama because Garcia Honda’s service manager wouldn’t even bother to look to see if my stuff was laying around in a box or bag. (I’m betting that they’ll find the stuff in a day or two.) I have never had a problem with the quality of their service, but I am absolutely amazed at how awful they treated me!So be wary: Either they are having a problem with cars being broken into, or they have a hot-headed service manager who will yell and insult you for something as stupid as this. Don’t go to a car dealership that treats its customers this way!

Wow! I love this place! Great service, clean, fast and friendly. I ordered the Gordita burgers, they are served on tortillas. I added cheese and green chili. I substituted the fries for a cup of Texas chili. Great for no carbs!! You have to try this place! Something for everyone!

In October of 2016, I purchase a new Fit with a 3 year warranty. Its now May of 2016, so I have 5 months left on the warranty. I took it to get the wheels aligned at a local repair shop, Brake Masters, and they told me the rear axle is bent, and the toe-in is out of specs; this was the first time alignment I got the alignment done on the car. Since its a new car, and I did not have any accidents or hit anything, I took it to Garcia Honda the next day to get it fixed under the warranty.The service person who works there, Dave Alton, told me he did not trust Brake Masters and that I would have to pay Garcia to get another alignment to be sure Brake Masters was correct in their assessment. He then tells me that if they can fix it with shims, I will have to pay for it, which really means, when all is said and done, they are not going to honor the warranty, and I am going to have to pay them to get it fixed.This is an update to my original review. Although I was not happy with the treatment I got at Garcia service department on May 25, 2019, I was asked by Mike McKinnon at Garcia ,who left a response to my review here, to get in touch with him, and I did so immediately. He sincerely apologized for my warranty issue being glossed over by the person in the service department. He also asked me to come in and see him about this so Garcia Honda could do the right thing.I told him that I was leaving New Mexico the next day for good to go live in a state with far less of a crime rate, New Jersey, and that I would not be coming back to Albuquerque. I agreed to try to get in to see him the next day, but I have a lot to do to pack up the car and meet my landlord at 4 PM to turn in my keys, but it looks like I will not be able to do that now.I guess I will have to take this up with a Honda dealer in Jersey when I get there.I want to thank Mike and Garcia Honda for reaching out to me and offering their assistance when they found out there was a problem. I trust they will follow that policy in the future since Mike convinced me that Garcia Honda and Honda Motors does value those who purchase their products.

I bought my 2004 Civic brand new from Garcia Honda back in the day, and it lasted all these years (14 to be exact) until now. So naturally I wanted to keep my business with them, as I have always been treated so well there. I was paired up with John Motley to help me find my next car. Not only was he patient and helpful, there was no pressure for me to get into any vehicle right away and start talking numbers. John even helped me out on my trade in cost for my old vehicle due to a bad judgement call I had with the service team there the week before.So after another hour or so of test driving and looking around, I finally found the one that I really liked, but by that time it was already late in the evening and way past their closing time. John went above and beyond to make sure that my experience was nothing less than satisfied. He even helped me empty out the stuff in my old car and loaded it up in the trunk of my new one.I am thankful for salesmen like John Motley, as well as the finance team at Garcia Honda, as they restored my trust and belief that there are great guys out there who arent just there to swindle you into something you dont need, but to help you get a good car and a good deal that you deserve, especially being a female buyer. Garcia was the only dealership in Albuquerque/Santa Fe Area to give us a quote over email (Nate Armstrong was very helpful) and willing to actually sell some cars. At the dealership we worked with Manny Merryman who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He even came the next day to pick me up from home so I can get my new car. There was no pressure and everybody we dealt with was very friendly and courteous. Travis was extremely helpful and pleasant from the beginning to the end. He was never pushy on something I didn’t want or couldn’t afford. I told him my price range and he was more than happy to stick within it. He was extremely knowledgeable about all of the cars accessories no matter what car it was. When I couldn’t find something in the lot that was perfect Travis went out of his way to find me something that was. I’m highly satisfied with my new car that came with everything I wanted and nothing I didn’t. I’d recommend Travis a million times over, not only is he a great fair salesman but he’s also a great guy that isn’t in it for himself but rather to make his customers happy.

Purchased a vehicle and was really rushed into the process although I do like the vehicle and later found out the car was actually in an accident and they did not disclose it to me. Mostly the reason of ranking as a three star, you should always disclose that information.Tried contacting the dealership back to fix my trunk but keep getting transferred and hung up on. I purchased a used Honda from another dealer and the lug nut key was missing. I came into the service department at 5pm and was greeted by Raymond, who helped me find what I needed. The gentlemen in the service and parts departments were able to remove the old locking nuts and helped me get a new set with a shiny new key. Great Service Team ! Scheduled a recall service as well as a 100,000 mile service, tuneup, transmission, and coolant service. As the work was being performed, Tim kept me up to date as I was at a conference in ABQ for two days. Although work was promised on second morning, the crew had trouble sealing the timing cover gasket. Although they could have just put some silicone gasket sealer in the spot (which would have worn off in a year or so), Tim had staff re-pull the cover and re-install seal. This is professionalism. Although this meant another 2-3 hour wait, which Tim gave me a loaner to get lunch, the work was done properly and professionally. Thanks Tim. Keep up the great work. This coming from a transactional attorney.
