Galvin Appliance always has come through for my needs. They have high quality products. They frequently can match Home Depot sales because it is the manufacture that is giving the prices. Their customer service is great, they know their products and are helpful with advise, delivery, installation and removing old appliances. Great service!

Helpful staff, decent selection. Galvin has been our primary appliance store for years. Its not the most stylish store on the inside, but the staff is friendly and helpful and pays you attention. So much nicer than the local big box stores, though their prices can be better than Galvin. But considering how much we use these appliances, the cost per use difference is negligible so I am happy to pay for decent service. Installation is thoughtful too.

Moved to a new place and needed a refrigerator that could meet unique size specs. Tried all the big box stores but most couldn’t or wouldn’t help much. Called Steve at Galvin Appliance and he gave me called me with options after doing some research. My new fridge fits perfectly, was within budget, and was delivered 3 times faster than box stores so we couldn’t be happier!

I have bought several appliances from Galvin Appliance, mainly because I like to support indi appliance retailers and also because they know what theyre talking about and you can get someone on the phone! I bought a Bosch dishwasher from Galvin at a time when Bosch was closed and so no retailers had dishwashers coming in.Galvin received and delivered my dishwasher sooner than the big box stores had their in stock dates posted by. The delivery fee was reasonable, and they brought it upstairs. Couldnt ask for anything more! Will definitely buy my next major appliance from Galvin.

Always go there for any appliances. It might cost you $100 more than the big box stores or online, but at least you walk out feeling confident about your purchase. Very knowledgeable staff, not pushy at all! One stop shopping!

Finding the right dishwasher and purchasing it through Galvin could not have gone more smoothly. Steve is straight knowledgable, forward, followed-up as promised. Every step in the process worked smoothly, including delivery and installation. Should we need another appliance Galvin will be my first call.

Im very pleased with my experience with Galvin. They found the range I wanted at a great price. When they inspected it they found a minute scratch on the handle and ordered a new one to be installed once received. I dont know that I would have noticed the scratch myself but they really looked it over and proactively took action.

I bought a GE washing machine from Galvin Appliance. I did it all by phone with Steve sending me links to some possible choices. The delivery guys were amazing. They picked up the machine using straps and carried it up the stairs to the house and then down my narrow and bent basement stairs. They were kind and helpful. Steve was incredibly helpful! Gotta say that first I went to a big box store. I bought a washer and dryer and it got delayed a week. Then the delivery got delayed 6 weeks which was unacceptable. I immediately canceled the BB order and decided to keep my money local. I remembered Galvins and called. Steve found me a nicer washer dryer set- at the same price and got it to me in a week. Galvin Appliances is a locally owned small business. The personal service is exceptional. Its one thing to identify the product you want; its a totally different experience when the product is delivered and installed. The men who brought my large refrigerator and removed the old one were exceptional in their care and knowledge in the installation and removal. After frank advice what not to buy and whats good out there, the item was installed with a hickup ( one water line, when two seem to be standard now), but handled in one day.Once, when PGE had declared a gas stove unsafe, they installed the new one on Christmas day.They know their stuff, and they care.

Im so glad this place exists. Friendly, knowledgeable people answer your questions. If you have to talk with them multiple times because you have more questions, the same person helps you, so you dont have to re-explain everything. Its a small store but they can order what you want. And when my tenant trashed the brand-new stove in my recently remodeled rental, Ken and his colleagues went out of their way, swiftly ordering a replacement and getting it delivered on time by their friendly, efficient delivery guys.

I have worked with Galvin for years across multiple properties. Their prices are a bit higher than home depot, but they stand by their products. More importantly, they control delivery and installation themselves, which means that you are dealing with them, not the cheapest sub-sub-sub contractor that Home Depot corporate could find.

We came to Galvin through a recommendation from a neighbor. We had a great experience with both buying and delivery: everyone was helpful. We especially appreciated Kens patience, experience, and good humor. They have fewer, better choices than the big box stores because theyve already weeded out those stoves with dicey reliability or inadequate company support. Our stove was reasonably priced and a good choice for us. I would definitely return to Galvins in the future and recommend the store highly.

I love this appliance store. I usually read reviews of appliances I’m looking for on line before shopping to get an idea of the options I want for the appliance. After that I go to Galvin appliance and let them know what I’m looking for and I know they have listened to me because they take me to the appliances they have in those options. What is so great is that they know a lot about useful options, energy and water efficiency and reliability history. They don’t try to talk me into options I don’t need or want. I never feel pressured to decide what I want and their prices are competitive. Another plus is the delivery/installment is not free but is a very fair price for the quality of the installment done.

Great store with knowledgeable staff. Recently I needed a compact refrigerator with no freezer and specific dimensions. Online stores were useless — search results kept coming back with models with freezers no matter how many ways I rewrote the query. The folks at Galvin immediately knew what companies had the type I needed and got the order placed within minutes and delivered within days! Have always bought all our large appliances here over the years, and now will also buy the smaller ones here too!

They had several of the refrigerators that I was interested in. Since they also do repairs I felt their recommendations were especially valued. Their delivery was punctual and the men delivering the refrigerator were personable and professional. Highly recommended.

After attempting to buy a fridge from a big box that managed to keep me waiting for 2 weeks only to deliver something that wouldnt fit (despite several reassurances from the sales-person that it would), I wandered into the place my family have been buying appliances for 2 generations. Service is still personal, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Delivery was fast, tidy, and disturbingly efficient (considering my driveway), and the product fits, works, and looks good. No fuss, no call centers in Siberia, no drama. I dont know why I even tried the other way.

I had read positive reviews on Yelp and went there without considering others as I wanted a vendor I could trust for the long term. The salespeople were ready and available, presenting a variety of options. I was less than impressed, however, with the backup materials and pricing I received in the store, and in follow up inquiry. I believe the cost was comparable to what I would get at another specialty store, and perhaps a tad bit higher than the box stores. Quick, speedy and efficient delivery. Purchased an extended service contract and hoping they continue with the same readiness and efficiency.

Galvin gave me just what is missing from the big box stores--a knowledgeable salesperson who knows the stock. I got great advice on what dishwasher and range would suit my cooking style. You could search online, but buying an appliance without ever touching the controls and opening the doors is quite a leap of faith. At Galvin, I was also able to see the models judge them in person, a lot stronger position for making an important purchase.

We called because we needed a part. They didnt provide, but not only was the person who answered extremely helpful by giving the number of who to call for the part, she also went the extra step to making sure I had the model and serial number to make the next call easier. Its just nice to have someone be pleasant and try to help, even though this time around, nothing in it for them!

They gave exellent advice about using my new dishwasher and arranged for installation, and removalof my old one. I knew the model I wanted and they took care of everything over the phone. From sale to delivery took just 3 days! Amazing.

Galvin Appliance was SO HELPFUL. We turned to them to replace the dishwasher in our office space after 2 months of runaround and failed delivery attempts by another vendor. Galvin was able to stock our non-standard-size 24 dishwasher in only few days, and scheduling installation was a breeze. All my questions were answered quickly and completely (by both phone call and email), which was a dream after working with another vendor who constantly transferred my phone calls to un-monitored voicemail boxes. There is a bit of premium price when working with a small local vendor like Galvin that cant offer the same bulk pricing the big box stores can, but it is completely worth it for the stellar service and the ability to work directly with real human beings (not voicemail boxes). We will definitely be coming back for all our appliance needs.

Local store. They can order what you want if they dont have it. Prices slightly higher than the big box stores or mega-appliance dealers, but you have someone to talk to (who is competent and available), and not just the salesman of the day. I think that the personal service makes the slightly higher price worthwhile. They were good about arranging delivery, installation and haul-away (on a combination microwave/oven).

When I called the representative let me know that they dont service my particular washer/dryer unit (which is a less common LG combo washer/dryer), but she recommended an appliance company that she thought would service what I needed, and I was able to call them and make an appointment. I thought it went above and beyond to recommend another place to call, rather than just telling me no.

Galvin is the best place to purchase appliances. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We bought our refrigerator and dishwasher before our kitchen remodel was done and they stored our items until we were ready. This was extremely helpful and we really appreciate the great customer service.

Their salespersons are knowledgeable and trustworthy, delivery prompt and installation flawless, and their service is prompt and reasonable when needed, which has not been often. They do not carry some brands with high ratings when new due to reliability concerns.
