Thank you to the knowledgeable team (Jake, Bob, Gary) at Cornwell. My old but beloved Kitchen Aide refridgerator stopped working. Jake helped me troubleshoot the problem but sadly, fixing it wasnt an option. Happily, they had a new Frigidaire in stock that they promptly delivered. No hassles, no nonsense. Friendly, fair and fast. No wonder Cornwell has been in business for years. Give them a try.

We used Cornwell Appliances in the past for service on our refrigerator and were very satisfied, So when our dishwasher broke recently, we went straight to Cornwell . We picked out our new Maytag dishwasher on Thursday afternoon and it was professionally installed the next day. Very happy with the personal service, where else can you go and have the person who sold you the appliance install it the next day.

I have been using Cornwall Appliances for over 25 years. When you buy from them, you know the quality of what you are getting and that Cornwall will ensure longevity. Their repair service is superb. As an example of their service, our washer died the day before we were leaving for a month long vacation. Went over to the store around noon and had a new washer/dryer installed by 5:00. What more needs to be said.

I recently called Cornwell Appliances because our refrigerator was leaking. Jake, one of the servicemen/small business owners, came out a few days later and repaired it along with our washing machine (which also had been leaking). He was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable, and even showed me what the issue was so that I know what to look for if this ever happens again. The price for both repairs was reasonable and I will certainly use Cornwell again in the future.

Very knowlegable about different brands and the repair needed. Cornwell fixed my fridge after I already paid someone else to repair it that didn’t have a clue what was wrong and replaced a part that still did not work. This time it was diagnosed and fixed by Cornwell. Apart from that it was a pleasant experience. Good customer service and knew how to engage with customer while assessing their needs. Will definitely use again.

I stopped by on Saturday 4/6 around 4PM after looking to buy a new refrig at various stores. Really wanted to keep ours and get it repaired. Jake came out that night at 9:30PM! He hoped it was a relay problem but no luck. We needed a new compressor. He came Monday morning and made the switch. A man came to the house tto fix my Appliance he pulled it out and took a pice off use my water to clean it the we were told that was it he push it back to where it was then i ask the price $81.00 i was shocked he wasnt here an hour i would say mabe 20 to 25 minutes i am not sure we would go that way again the end

I had a totally different experience with Cornwell Appliance, I needed a dryer for the right price, and they had it. They came to my place, helped me install it and took the old one away. I suppose some customers will just never be happy, but I have nothing but good things to say. Justin helped me and he was great. I got a rebuilt unit (kenmore) and it works awesome! Great price , fast service, and they were helpful to get me exactly what I needed for my apartment. A+

Every couple of years I have a reason to use Cornwall. Today’s experience reinforces why. Mr. Cornwall called me himself to discuss my freezer problem. He was familiar with my model refrigerator and said “I think I know what your problem is and I think we can fix it by phone”. He walked me through a repair fix with a screwdriver and with a few other instructions the problem was fixed. No charge! Phone calls are always returned promptly and service fees (in the past) were always reasonable. Pleasure to work with.

A few weeks ago, much to my dismay, my refrigerator completely stopped working. I had to throw out the entire contents of my fridge and freezer. I was sure I would have to buy a new fridge which I wasnt very happy about since we planned on selling our home soon.My mother highly recommended I call Cornwell Appliances. She said that she had a great experience with them and I should see if they can come out and look at the fridge first before I purchase another. I was pleasantly surprised that Jake came out that same day and he was able to assess the problem quickly and repair my fridge for a very reasonable fee. He could have tried to sell me a new fridge, but he didnt.This is a family business with good old fashion work ethics. Jake and his brother can be trusted and really are very knowledgeable about appliance repairs. You really appreciate the importance of a refrigerator when yours fails. Jake was quick to respond and evaluate my options. He gave me good recommendations to help me choose a new fridge. I am NOT satisfied at all with the service that, after spending $178 dollars for a house visit and “repair” of my leaking washing machine, I called back to report that the washer was still leaking & was then directed that I must use a screwdriver to take off the top of the machine, wash a load to observe for leaks, then call back to report BEFORE he would come back out. That is why I need a washer repair person to assess & fix the issue! And the washer is still leaking...

The Whirlpool worked OK for less than 3 months, and calls to owners cell phone were not returned (he considers himself a friend of ours). Just called their service and got no help/customer service/concern. Tried to blame it on the soap we use, despite the fact that I made it clear we have used many different kinds. We cleaned the filters, snaked the drain, always run hot water before starting cycle, and have done a number of troubleshooting items as suggested on-line. We purchased our stove and frige from CORNWELL in 1978...around 2015 the frige quit...i called CORNWELL and JAKE was here within the hour...an hour later all was good and he was done and on his way...very nice guy by the way...now its 2018 and the frige is acting up...sometimes the ice cream gets too soft...and the oven floor is rusted out...i guess its time (40 yrs old)...back to CORNWELL...JAKE and brother GARY learned well from their dad...and i trust them...

I cant speak highly enough of my experience with Cornwell.I ordered a washer and dryer on Friday and it was delivered on Monday exactly on time.The gentlemen not only installed my appliances quickly but went the extra mile to clean out my dryer ducts which were totally clogged.You can tell competence and experience and quality work and Cornwell has this plus that extra service .I would recommend Cornwell to anyone.

I called Cornwell at about 1:00 in the afternoon, they showed up about 3:30 to do repairs on 11 refrigerators that needed repair due to a surge of power from the black out last week. We went door to door to find out what the problem was. When Jake new what the problem was he ordered the parts, went to pick them up and had all my residents refrigerators back running by 9:00 pm thank you jake for caring and going out of your way for my seniors.

You dont realize how important your refrigerator is until it stops working. After my landlord tried and failed to fix the problem I called all around Albany at 4pm and no one could make it out that day . EXCEPT CORNWELL! Jake was very nice and made the process painless. I would highly recommend for repairs! A family business that cares about its customers!!!

These guys are awesome - especially if you are a Mr. Fixit / do-it-your-selfer. They have helped me on several occasions, giving me tons of free diagnosis and advice about what is probably wrong w/ my refrigerator, which part to bring in for testing, etc. Take this free advice, Google your model number, and you will likely find YouTube videos from online parts stores which will walk you through the fix. Old school business - thats why they are still there!

Ive been associated with Cornwell Appliance in Albany, NY for over 30 years and my experience with them just keeps getting better and better. I have an apartment building and from time to time have various repair issues with appliances.Since I am a bit handy, Jake Cornwell was able to help me diagnose and REPAIR a problem over the phone with a refrigerator that was dripping a bit of water from the freezer into the fridge section, without an actual service call. I was happy to pay the reduced price of a phone call-service call charge and was very grateful the repair could be done quickly. Thank you Jake for making my day!On a second issue with an ice maker in a fridge located in another apartment, I was able to bring the ice maker down to Cornwell on Central Ave, in Albany, NY, only to have them diagnose and repair the ice maker with a $10.00 part and my travel time.I buy all of my new and used appliances from Cornwell as they have the tools, the experience and the know how to keep things running, even at a distance!Kudos to Jake, Gary and company for running the BEST APPLIANCE SALES AND SERVICE CENTER............EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

My refrigerator died when I got home on a holiday weekend...Saturday. I called Cornwell first thing Tuesday morning and they were short staffed but still showed up by lunch time to look at it. They charged a reasonable fee and the serviceman Jake was very professional and knew a lot about the area as he grew up in Colonie.The next week my dehumidifier died and I took it to Cornwell to have it looked at ($35 work fee). It was shot as I expected (crappy plastic coil made by LG), Jake and the Cornwell guys applied my $35 towards a new frigidaire with anodized metal coils that wont crap out like my LG.Overall the service, timeliness, friendliness and hometown feel were more than enough for me to recommend them to anyone who has appliance issues. One of the few companies left that actually fix items instead of throwing them away and having you purchase new ones.

AWFUL! Never use these guys. I know a lot of these reviews are all sunshine and butterflies but I did not have the same experience. My wife an I bought a washer and dryer here. One of the owners Jake, told us he loves when people get their appliances from other places because they call him for service calls to fix them. Well within 9 months of buying these machines we had to get two service calls for repair. The first one was done by Cornwell but when it broke again a week later I just decided not to ever call them again. When I expressed how upset I was they just kept trying to pressure me into another service call and pretty rudely I might add. Save your money.

I brought my Samsung refrigerator to get repaired because the fan stopped blowing cold air. The part they used broke the entire unit and they demanded that I pay them $50 for a refrigerator that was completely broken now. The freezer didnt work anymore either. Unprofessional and wont be returning.
