It has the view especially if you get the seats in the back which is closer to the river walking path. At the moment, it opens for dinner on Friday and Saturday.

Casual cafe in a cute creek-side location. Absolutely incredible light and fluffy scones with home made jam and cream. The jam wasnt too sweet and oh so fresh!! Nice view and hearing the creek is so soothing. Vegetarian lasagna was also fresh and tasty! Everything here is soooo fresh! Unfortunately the service from our waitress was quite abrupt, distracted and rude. Its the only reason why Im not giving this place a full star rating.

Visited first time for family birthday lunch. Absolutely wonderful time, felt welcome from the staff as soon as arrived. Didnt stop there, throughout our whole lunch the staff were super attentive. Now for the food, it was brilliant and well presented, 10 plates and not one little complaint, a big thumbs up for the River View Cafe....keep up the good work

The $19 humburger is quite small (similar to the $6 big mac) and does not taste good.

Got takeway of white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake slice, Taste bang on and quality pretty good..... Only downside was for $8.50 the slice was pretty small.... Fancy restaurant pricing

Lovely owners, food is relatively good, great coffee. Need a few extra staff to cater to demand. Staff are quite accommodating. Lamb salad was really good, lamb pie lacked a bit of flavor, salmon was good, steak was good!

Rude service by I think the owner. I was asked to walk around the outside of the building & enter the back decking as I had assistance dog with me. I explained I could walk through as it is a Seeing Eye Dog & waitress rolled her eyes & mumbled under her breath. As I was with family we continued into restaurant & ordered coffees which were good. Young waitress very friendly but other wait staff which I believe was the owner was rude & abrupt. Definitely will not be returning which they probably wont care about as clearly are no accepting of assistance dogs in their cafe.

Dont waste your time if there is people lined up in front of you, not even for takeaway coffee. They couldnt care less when the tables are full, couldnt even acknowledge anyone who was waiting.

Reading previews reviews, this place sounded like a good choice. First impression is OK, but no wow inside butsittingoutsideon the deck is very pleasant. Staff are friendly and deliver service with a smile. Coffee was better than I expected. Food took ages to come but it did not disappoint and would suggest it was super fresh and just made. Muffin was also good and very tasty. Menu has lots of choice and something for everyone. I would not say this place is a must, but if you in town then a good place for any meal.

Walked in for breakfast on the way to Warburton Redwoods forest. Nice view indeed. Food is good but not great for value considering the quantity and price. Coffee is nice and over expectation to have such away from Metro. So went back for lunch again after Redwoods forest. Rest before a nice walk along the river. Lunch time is quite busy considering its only Wednesday. Only one waitress looking after everything, including making coffee and casher, quite impressive. Good service. Will be back.

Possibly the most impressive Surf N Turf Ive had in a long time. Steak cooked perfectly (medium rare), amazing prawns, chips and salad all complimented with a perfectly brewed local craft beer.Id drive the hour that it takes to get to Warburton to eat here again.

A nice cafe in the heart of Warburton. We had breakfast and lunch there and the quality was really good although a bit on the expensive side. A good selection of wine and beer as well. Theres indoor and outdoor seating available. The outdoor setting at the back facing the river is a good spot.

I didnt even get to order because one of the waitress was super rude. I decided to go somewhere else to get a better service. Q

Inconsistent service and one of the pies we ordered was frozen in the middle. The young watiress however, was lovely. Overall, not impressed.

I felt as if we were just one big annoyance for the waitress. Food was ok, but I pay for an experience and this was terrible. The place was almost as cold as the waitress. The young girl was fine, amazingly I think it was the owner’s service that was so bad.

The food here was below average, veggie burger had a cheap patty with peas and corn in it, like the frozen ones you buy from Coles. The pie wasnt great either, and the calamari salad was just calamari with heaps of chips and 3 pieces of lettuce. The lady was rude and exclaimed wow thats a lot when we decided to ask for 3 meals between 2 people, I found that offensive.They also forgot to initially process our order due to an untrained waitress who acted like it was her first day on the job (to be honest it probably was). Was about a 40 minute wait in an almost empty restaurant.One star is for the coffee and the extra star is only because Im a nice person and did not want to be too harsh.Would not recommend.

We have eaten here a few times and always enjoyed the clam chowder, but not its price at $24 a bowl. It has been around a year since we have visited and this visit will be our last. The food lacked any flavour, the omelette was overcooked and in “the bake” baked eggs there was regular sausage in place of delicious chorizo. The chef needs to get some inspiration because what we had today was by far the worst meals we have had in the valley for a long time. Be warned, overpriced for what you’re served, I would recommend elsewhere.

Called in for takeaway lunch for a friend and myself. Impressed by caring attitude of staff. Oh and the food was yummy too. I had a toastie and took some gluten free cake home for later.... yummy.

We went to another cafe but they were up front and told us it would be 35-40 minute wait so, we came to RiverView.An hour later, we got the meat lovers pizza.The meat lovers pizza was nice but (see photo) would you call this a meat lovers? How long does putting ingredients on a pizza to sit in an oven take??We waited some more for my wifes meal. My wife has dairy and wheat intolerances, so asked for no dairy on her bread (cheese and butter) but out came butter on her gluten free bread. We waited another 15 minutes and asked the waitress about the food. My wife finally got her meal at 4pm and I had finished my pizza.We totally understand that it is a busy time of year, but they need to tell customers how long they expect to wait so people can decide to wait or leave. Also, Just having the one chef is totally unacceptable during the Christmas season.10% surcharge to pay for their staff. My friendly advice is dont open next time.One star for a really nice waitress and for not needing to pay for my wifes lunch, but dont come to Riverview.

Great decking out the back to enjoy your breakfast, brunch or lunch. The day we went it was very quiet indoors but so many people enjoying the outdoor dining area. Menu is varied to suit everyone.

We went on a busy rainy day for lunch so had to sit outside but I can see how cool it will be in summer, outside had nice big wooden pillars and a great view of the mountain, theres a gate so you can shut the kids in and because no one wanted to sit outside we let them walk around in their snow gear, food was good too. Definitely satisfied.

With lovely views & food, which may be a little pricey for the average person, its still worth a visit.

It wasnt just the burger and crispy chips alone that made this place special, but the fact we ate outside as well. My wife and I enjoyed a great backdrop of trees and hills that made this cafe stand out from others. Service was also quick and excellent.

Love this place, every sunny day we endeavor to come down. Sample some local beer, taste fresh produce thats treated with a knowledge of the of the ingredients to deliver a beautiful meal and experience.

I went back to this cafe after my girlfriend and I popped in for take away coffee after hiking up the mountain - whilst waiting for our coffee a waitress brought us over a jug of water. So I took my husband back here the next week for lunch and was not disappointed - thank you - great service and very enjoyable meal

It was cold outside and even colder inside, waitress is rude, you would think they didnt want you in there spending money .. coffee was good , one breakfast was good but the other looked like a child made it ..put some thought into presentation at least .. sorry but dont take y oour tape measure out and measure the 1.5 distance when customers are sitting and having their coffee

Coffee was overextracted (bitter), and the omelette dry and almost tasteless. The barely buttered toast was pretty lonely on the plate... No garnish, or even a sad little lettuce leaf. Awful food in a lovely setting.

Ive never left a bad review before but was pretty disappointed with our service today.We never received our meals and watched 4 other tables being served their food who all arrived a lot later then us.Thats ok, these things can happen but the disappointing part was that none of the staff cared or acknowledged us at all even the waitress that took our order saw us waiting there the entire time and didnt ask or even check and when my partner went to the counter to ask when we would get our meals the lady said i dont know and walked away.Pretty disappointing service

Long wait for a below average meal supercrunch chips not super crunchy & a parsimonious portion steak cooked just right though. Game is slipping, need to lift it. Not as good as last time sorry guys but you need to be told.

I eat here most times Im in Warburton and always have a satisfying meal. The service is good, friendly and generally fast, though they can overwhelmed sometimes when its unexpectedly busy due to weather etc. Nice space with great views. They could perhaps vary the menu a bit occasionally for regular visitors.

Heater was not on, pretty cold in the restaurant . The elder waitress did not let us sit by the windows and said they are going to do something in the area. But she let the family who came after us sit there. They start stacking up the tables & chairs around us and wipe the floor at 4pm, but the restaurant is open until 5pm. Apparently they can’t wait to kick their customers out.

Always find the service is terrible for dinner. The waitress never follows up asking if we want coffee or tea or dessert and it takes forever to get their attention to order. Food is overpriced considering half the time you get frozen chips and have to pay extra to change from a salad to steamed vegetables.
