Excellent dish which they call champ. Small pieces prepared on tawa. Available in chicken, mutton and beef. Served with roti, yougart and salad.

Good place to have some meal..

What they cook is called Chanp or Champ traditionally which is the local word for mutton chops. However, they are actually quite different from the traditional mutton chops that we are used to; both in terms of meat type and style of cooking. The meat used is beef which is cooked in a large sized pan and cut into small pieces during the cooking with a sharp spade shaped knife. Spices, onions, tomatoes, green chilies, garlic and ginger are mixed in the meat. Whatever they cook, its excellent.Its a traditional cooking style of Sialkot and one must have a taste of it. However, one has to go to the old city where you may find parking problems. The sitting arragnements of Iqbal Chanp are quite mediocre and do no match a quality restauratnt. However, if you want to have something traditional in its original form, this is the place to go.
