The ownership group at City Furniture takes the “Big Box Store” feel away and makes you feel like everyone one there cares about you and your needs. Every step of the process was easy and hassle free. From my first steps into the store, seeing product, payment and pickup, it was all a dream. Thanks again for everything from our family to yours. I recently worked with Robert from City Furniture in Kamloops to furnish a condo in Sun Peaks and I could not have been more pleased with the service. I dont live in Kamloops and we didnt find what I needed during my visit to showroom but he was in touch every day helping me find items that fit the rooms and the budget. He sent me links and photos of options and we managed to do it all remotely. He then helped me coordinate delivery and set up. Robert definitely went above and beyond and I would recommend him and City to anyone who finds themselves needing that extra bit of help.

We purchased a new set of couches In August 2020. I’m writing this reviews finally after a very frustrating experience. So hopefully it won’t happen to someone else. It’s now January 2021 and we finally had our issue dealt with in a respectable manner.Our experience in store was good, our sales man was helpful! It took a lot longer for our couches to come.(probably pandemic cause) Every time we called the store to check on their status we were either not called back or told to contact our sales person. Not sure why they could not just look us up in their system. I shouldn’t have to wait to be contacted by our sales rep only.They were finally delivered to our house early November 2020. Upon delivery the delivery men did not wear masks and asked to use our bathroom. They also made my husband remove the front door off the hinges and tried to shove the couches through the door. I watched as they got grease on the brand new couch cushions and was worried they would rip the material. I told them to stop and then they noticed the grease. They Tried to clean it off with stuff in their truck. It didn’t work. They asked me if I had nail polish remover to try. I said absolutely not!! (Knowing that would take the color out) They then proceeded to take couches around back to try back door. Meanwhile telling my husband he should carry one end cause the one guys back was too sore. We finally got them in and they asked us to sign a form saying everything was all good. We signed but also wrote on it about the grease stain. They assured us someone would help us if we emailed pictures into city furniture. Upon leaving they argued with us about taking our old couches saying they didn’t have room on the truck (when they just took our new ones off so I don’t understand that at all) we had to call the sales rep to tell them to take our old couches, to which they argued on the phone in front of us about it.After we never heard from anyone the numerous times we emailed and called the store to get the stain fixed. I finally end of December heard back from Chaten a manager and he was very apologetic and came himself in January to get the stain out. We are finally happy with our couches but this experience was not good! I will not be happily recommending them sadly to anyone else. Their service is awful when you call the store and their return of calls is worse. The delivery guys should have be wearing appropriate pandemic attire, as we have small children and immunocompromised family! Chaten was the only good service we had but was honestly too little too late!

Good selection. Reasonable prices. Was even willing to knock some money off for us to buy today. However did not listen to what we said in regards to the time frame we selected for our purchase as the sales men was far to busy thinking about his commission vs what would work best for us.

We worked with Nav to get couches sorted for our new place. He was very friendly and helpful getting our custom order completed. We had a few bumps due to Covid - like the fabric we chose no longer being available, but Nav helped us get through these things quickly and professionally. He and his team made us feel welcome and safe in their store during Covid and delivery was simple to set up. They confirmed in advance about any possible barriers to delivery (corners, low entry gates etc) so it was seamless. We’re very happy and will be back if we need additional furniture.

Harman was excellent in helping us find furniture for our first house! He was very kind and went above and beyond to ensure help us find whatever we needed! The entire staff was very friendly. Highly recommend Harman and CFA.

I would give zero if it was possible. We ordered a couch in October put down a deposit and was told that it would arrive at the end of November. November came and went and still no couch. We were told it was still in the container down in the Lower Mainland waiting to go through customs. Waited another week was told we would have it no later than the first few days of December. Went in on the 4th of December and was told we would have it by the end of December. Needless to say we took back our deposit. Not impressed. Should never promise a delivery date that you cant honor.

Mid December of 2019 we purchased a King size mattress and an Ashley bedroom suite. Our salesman assured us it would be in within 2-3 weeks. 6 weeks passed without word from them. On calling I am told it will be in the following week. Nothing. A couple more calls and a couple more weeks and my furniture finally arrived on Feb 25,2020 unwrapped and missing several screws for the dresser handles. After inspecting the furniture and sending pictures of damage to every piece I am told someone will come repair it or I can have a credit. Knowing the repair would likely be touch up paint and glue I take the credit of $200. My mistake. I should have returned it all. I later find 24 missing screws in the drawers which resulted in the brackets pulling away from the dresser.I email them and I was told I could possibly get new drawers. I told them it was the dresser not the drawers and never got another response.Within a month of sleeping on our new $1200 mattress it developed large divots and a hump in the middle. I sent pictures and was told I could not return it but was offered a replacement on warranty. Not wanting to risk the same thing happening we upgraded to a more expensive mattress. On May 21 the new mattress was ordered, and I am told it will arrive in 1 week. Called June 5. No return call. By June 30 I am being told the delay is now because of Covid and it will arrive in 2 weeks. July 9, I ask for my money back. I am told no because it is a warranty issue. On July 27, my mattress arrives in Kamloops and I am told it will be delivered on the next truck out. By August 9, the mattress has still not arrived, nor have I had and update. Again, I call. My mattress is finally delivered 2 weeks later. The products I purchased are the poorest quality, damaged and unresolved and the customer service is the worst I have dealt with. We are currently building a house and I will not spend a penny at this store nor will I refer anyone else to.

Love our furniture set! The staff recommended beautiful pieces, that fit our space perfectly. One of the legs was missing when our chair came in, but I called and let them know and the staff took care of it right away, calling the manufacturing company and then coming to our house to install it. I would highly recommend shopping here :)

Chaten was great to work with! He was very informative and knew exactly what we were looking for. He helped us pick out and customize the perfect couch and we are very happy with it! We will definitely be going back to CF and will be going through Chaten! We highly recommend him!

Most of the guys and gals working there are not too bad. We had a fiasco surrounding a freezer we were trying to purchase but each time inspection came around, something was broken on it so we decided to go elsewhere. I will say the refund process with this was painless and I appreciated that.What needs to be discussed in team meetings is not having your older sales guy creep around while you are trying out mattresses and kind of....watch you? If we need help, we will find you. Kind of hard to try out mattresses and get a good feel of it when at home I wouldnt have someone in my closet watching us sleep which is what that experience felt like. Let people lay down and talk amongst themselves without prying eyes and ears please!To top it off, the sales guy then went into a HUGE speech about how amazing the bed frame was, top notch, best on the market ETC only to find as soon as we lifted the bed up to take a look, it was broken in places and not put together properly. Sales guy then went straight to ripping apart his fellow team members in saying they just cant assemble things properly.I have given my honest effort to try and purchase items from here but this was our last round of attempt.

We have been working closely with Harp from City Furniture for years and he never disappoints. Recently we purchased a tv from Harp at City Furniture and he arranged home delivery to our home in the lowermainland. Make sure you ask for Harp when you go to City Furniture.

We recently bought a bedroom set and we couldnt be happier with the service we received from start to finish.Aman was our salesman and he went out of his way to help us. His professional manner, attention to detail and willingness to please were displayed throughout all our dealings with him. He returned phone calls promptly and went out of his way to ensure that we were pleased with our purchase.The delivery men showed up when they said they would and were courteous, efficient and polite.Overall our experience with City Furniture was an excellent one.

I recently purchased two Tempur-Pedic beds from City Furniture to replace my old mattresses. I received excellent customer service, a fantastic deal, and speedy delivery. I’ll definitely be placing an order again in the near future.

Bought a fridge and freezer on Dec 29th (paid in full) and asked for a delivery by end of January, when February came and I had not heard from city furniture I called them. They then decided to inform me me that the model I had paid for a month earlier is now not available. To their benifit they told me they had upgraded me to a better model and added a kit valued over $300.When the delivery day came they told me I would not be getting the kit because I hadnt ordered one before.Overall I am extremely disappointed with the service they offered compared to bestbuy who I purchased my wall oven from around the same time.

Our time in the store was nice and the salespeople were welcoming and kind. This was my second time shopping at City Furniture.As we were on a tighter deadline we very clearly communicated that and made sure to pick a couch we were told would be in in two weeks. When two weeks had passed we were told a month, then that changed to three weeks, then it changed to one week.We were offered delivery for the delay which was then rescinded as we are 45 minutes out of Kamloops (delivery is worth $110).During a phone call before it arrived our salesperson, Harp, told us the sale wasnt worth enough for them to really care. Thats an unfortunate point of view when this could have been the first purchase of many over the years if we had received good service.We dont mind delays, it happens, but the very poor communication and treatment means we wont purchase here again.

Poor got price on line geet there and would not give extra $65.00 agreed on very dissatisfied no more purchases from me or will not recommend that store will buy chair I need in next few month elsewhere, also just had friend buy dishwasher now will not go back because of this and friend needs fridge and will not deal with them and she just bought dishwasher as well

Ive been dealing with City Furniture for years. They always have a large and diverse inventory. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. They can always cater to the needs of my real estate business.

We bought a mattress and bed frame from them a few years ago. Earlier this year our mattress collapsed on one side. We had warranty on the mattress so i emailed them in regards to this. I emailed them back and forward for almost six months, sometimes waiting up to a month just for a reply and had to send several messages asking for updates just to get a reply. (And yes I am aware that they have to message Sealy and wait for them to reply, but I got told a lot that this person or that person isnt at work this week so thats why you are not getting updates) Finally got a message saying that our warranty claim had been accepted and to come in and pick out a new mattress. We went in on saturday, salesman came up and asked if we needed help and I told him why we were there. He was friendly until I told him it was for warranty then became pretty rude and made it seem like we were just wasting his time. Showed us which mattresses we could choose from the just walked away, had to track him down just to get any information and everything. Overall he was just very rude. We will definitely not be buying from this store again and will not recommend it to anyone.

Friendly, helpful staff with no pushy salespeople. They put together our new house appliance package at an incredible price. Huge selection, lots to choose from, and our salesman always goes the extra mile whenever we come back!

Ordered Appliances on October 7th, was told 7-10 days to arrive. After about 3 weeks I started asking questions, which mostly went unanswered. By November 22nd, almost 7 WEEKS later, we finally had them delivered. Dishwasher and stove were damaged on the truck, fridge was damaged on the way into the house, and the stove was not the same unit we were shown in the store, which unfortunately we didnt notice until a day or so after it was installed, as it is very similar but with less features. The liftgate on their truck was broken so I had to help unload. Delivery guys needed my help getting the fridge up the stairs. Good thing I was home that day, not sure what they would have done if only my wife was home. Was informed by the delivery guy that it was a $60 cash deal for them to take away my old appliances. Too bad I didnt know this beforehand, I would have had some cash on me. It is now almost 2 weeks later, and the only answer I have is that were getting a new door for the dishwasher. Ive called multiple times and even took time out of my work day to drive to the store, which is over an hour away, just to be told Id get a phone call the following day. I got that phone call, but still my only answer was for the dishwasher door, no info at all about the fridge and stove. Its now almost a week since then and still no answers. I do not want to call back AGAIN just to be told to wait some more. I told them what I wanted out of this ordeal; new dishwasher door (installed by a tech so it wont void my warranty,) the correct stove, willing to pay the difference, extended warranty for the fridge because the dent made contact with the motor, and my delivery fee refunded. I think I am being very reasonable, and the salesman agreed, but I still have no answers.Nothing has gone right with this purchase, and the feel good feeling and excitement of buying new appliances is out the window, replaced with frustration and regret.I am disappointed with the condition of the products we got, and very disgruntled by the lack of communication from these guys. Wondering if theyre trying to sweep this under the rug. If you dont want to deal with this, come get these appliances and issue me a full refund. If I dont hear something by the weekend you will find this review on the BBB.

Ordered a fridge, stove and dishwasher for my kitchen renovation. We were really excited for our purchase. When we got home we did our own research on the products and found that the stove and exhaust system were not compatible with our plans even though the sales person assured us it was. We cancelled our order. We continue to be contacted by the finance company even though we cancelled the credit card provided.

I was here to get a home appliances package and got a good deal beating Costco & other big box store prices both online and in the town. The sales rep Anoop Mourya was very helpful going over functional differences of each appliance brand and finally gave me a great package deal for the entire home appliances set matching my needs and well below my budget, thank you Anoop!I feel this store is one stop for purchasing home appliances and furniture as it has huge selection and knowledgeable staff!!

The only good part about this place is the wonderful salesman named Robert. The management and customer service is absolutely horrendous. We were sent 2 floor models after specifying we wanted NEW, offered NO compensation and the fridge has a dent. I have phoned countless times only to be redirected. Dont waste your money

My girlfriend and I went here to look at some new furniture options and compare prices. Within a few minutes we were approached by a sales rep. who immediately asked if anyone else had approached us. We answered no and despite being clear about not wanting to buy anything right now, we were followed all over the store. Every time we looked at something we would get a sales pitch and some pressure to take advantage of their sales. This whole experience was uncomfortable and we actually left the store sooner because of the lingering sales rep. who clearly works for commission. We wont be returning here for furniture.

Last weekend my wife and I visited City Furniture in Kamloops to purchase a washer and dryer. Not really knowing all there is to know when buying this, we were looked after Harp who was very patient and informative. We bought the unit and what was promised was delivered. We live out of town and they knew that we needed this sooner than later. The crew came out Sunday evening to deliver and install it. Cant be happier with Sid and his staff. Well done and thank you.

Telephoned City Furniture the week of August 21,2017 to inquire about portable dishwashers. Salesperson informed me they only had one in the store, it had a dent but he said after checking with his boss that the price would be $599 instead of $699. We visited the Kamloops store on August 25, 2017 and viewed the same dishwasher which had the described dent. The salesperson stated he would see what more discount he could get after consulting the boss. This time the price was $674.00 instead of the $599 quoted earlier in the week. It was immediately clear that we leave this store and deal with a well established appliance store in Kamloops with reliability and a good reputation.

The owner gives back to the community a lot which is nice to see!! My fridge was on back order, not their fault, but they gave me a loaner fridge to use in the meantime since our new house was fridgeless!

My husband and I were in Kamloops yesterday,, November 21/2016. We walked around for 1/2 hour to 45 minutes and not one person asked us if we needed help or gave us help. We were there to buy a living room set and kitchen set for our new home. There were employees in the office that seen us and on the floor etc. We wanted to by from a family oriented business. So we left and went to Sears and received help right away. Oh well, you snooze, you lose. Wont be doing that again.

Excellent service from Louise.Time for an update... the owner of CFA has responded to my review with a great question. How can they turn four stars into five???Here is the missing piece. Business and personal matters took us from our home in Bella Coola to Kamloops, but mostly to shop for our renovation projects ... Louise at CFA helped us with the task of finding a chair and an ottoman ... both with custom fabric she helped us get through. Paying in full on an order that would take 4 to 6 weeks, we asked for it to be delivered to the nearest store to our home Williams Lake where we could pick it up or arrange with a local company to transport. We were told it can’t be done because the stores were independent. So we must return to Kamloops to pick up. I have communicated this to them and await their response. :-)

Was sold dyson equipment as new but it was not , so beware and check for factory seals on packages

Went in May 11 2018 to look at TVs. Were told by a salesman he could get us a specific model of Samsung for $650. Sounds great, we will have to come back tomorrow and get it. Come in May 12 2018 and the guys says oops, we dont have that model I told you about last night but we have another TV here... $200 extra price difference for this other model. Totally duped into coming back so he could make a bigger sale. Will 100% never go back there. Sales tactics like that are deplorable. Do not buy from here ever.

Worst experience Ive ever had. We ordered all our new appliances which came to about 7-8 thousand dollars. Told us everything was is stock and sent out damaged floor models. Promised to reimburse delivery charges and replace damaged parts but never did. We had to seek out Samsung to organize the parts. Dont support there buisness

Staff were nice and very knowledgeable. Answered any questions I had and even pointed out a few things I hadnt even thought about.

We went in looking for a mattress for our spare room . Paul talked us into the mattress in a box and we couldnt be happier with the quality and value ! I can honestly say I dont waste my time when it comes to shopping for furniture and appliances this is the only place I will shop at . Truly good customer service !

We ordered a Mako brand bedroom suite which took 2 months to arrive. The finish was bad on one dresser and the bed frame was drilled at 4 different heights. The bed took over 2 months to be replaced.The order desk area is a mess with damaged desks and a staff that just does not care about the business. Do not go there.
