Beauti full old haveli

Haveli sujan singh is bulit inside the narrow street of Bhabara Bazar in sixteenth century. Haveli is divided in two parts one is on right and other is on the left hand of the street. Both parts have giant entrnce gate beutifuly decore on wood and te work on wood by the kashmiri carpenters is marvelous aand beautiful. Both buildings are connected with aa bridge which also gives a shade on both buldings entrance. The Haveli has three tunnels which leads outside of old city giving secret safe passage. One tunnel leaads the family to the Bagh Sardaran. The garden it self a big well maintained havinng many kind of fruit,, ornimental trees, flowers beds and grass beds for walking. One tunnel leads towards ssouthern side of city and third small tunnel helps to give passage on back side of building. All these tunnels also use for defence purpose. There is big deep well provides cool and sweet waterand has the arrangments of rooms on side walls which provides cold environment in hot humid weather of Rawalpindi. After independance the building was occupied by more then 300 kashmiries migrants. In 1984 building was declared a national heritage and it was got vacated by these illegal imigrants. Now building is being revived by the National hertiage Department who is mading arrangemnets to protect the artistic work. Place is worth visiting.
