St. Francis Grammar School Quetta is among the oldest institutes who has been imparting education for the last 7 or 8 decades before the emergence of Pakistan. Renowned chieftains of Baloch and Pashtoon tribes were students of this institute.
I joined this School back in 1992 when I was three years old and studied there from Montessori all the way to class 6th before moving to Abbottabad due to safety concerns in Quetta city. Back then the education was quality and the discipline was tight although we did get beaten up by teachers which I am against as most of them just used the kids to get rid of the stress of their own personal lives. The size of the school was huge, if its still how I remember it to be and the sports was great fun sectioned into 3 teams which were Chiltan, Bolan and Khojak which played a primary role in developing team building and competitiveness skills in students.I truly miss the time spent there and the amazing friends I made whom Im still in touch with and I believe the primary education I received at St Francis played a major part in my secondary education and a successful career.Id love to go visit one day to catch a glimpse of the bitter sweet memories of the past.
My review is based on my stay in this institution from 1971 to 1980. At that time it was an excellent educational institution, probably one of the best in the country. During this period it had three principals - Father Joshua, Father Peter and Father Todd- all wonderful people. We had wonderful teachers as well. Lot of games and extra curricular activities. I still miss the time spent there.I visited the school two years back and was saddened to see the present state of affairs. Now its over crowded with low quality teaching standards. Its a pity that we are destroying such a place.
Its a good place. It was a middle school with O level in my days, presumably still is. You can learn a lot about discipline of you actually follow the principal and your Fathers of the time.
Overcrowded and decreasing their quality of education.
Great
Was n still is the best school of Quetta
I studied here for 10 years but regreted it because here teachers only knows how to beat and punish a student ...very low level of education ....also interaction between student and teachers is very bad ... Only a very intelligent student student can survive there..... Teachers do their best to reduce a students confidence....
Nice to see such schools in Quetta.... i hope they are delivering quality education there....
