Central library located in the main Administrative buildibg of University of Peshawar. Having collection of more than 150 thousand books, manuscripts and research articles/thesis. The infrastructure is in the process of complete digitization and renovation. Biometric enabled entry gates, RFID base books classification and inventory, and state of the art archives system implemented using biblothica complete solution. Offering services to undergraduate, MPhil and PhD students and faculty on the three floors of this library. Also a 100 computer equipped hall,with multimedia gadget space in the final stages of completion. A lot more are in pipeline, so stay tune.

The Central Library is located in the main administration Block of the University of Peshawar. The Central Library was established in February 1951. Initially it was housed in a small room in the old Central Training College building (presently The Agricultural Research Centre, adjacent to Khyber Teaching Hospital). The library then shifted to the University Science Block. It was later on transferred to the present premises in 1957.

Silent environment, neat and Clean area, books of any field are available here like arts(Eng, Urdu etc), science(Chem, Bio, Phy), social sciences etc...... Well facilitated place for students to be able to study here.
