So, in August 2009, then ANP led Government of Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa, launched the beautification and renovation of Shahi Bagh with the financial support of USAID.In 2012, through applications from social activists and citizens of Peshawar, the Peshawar High Court Chief Justice had taken notice of the parks condition and government of the province was ordered to remove all the newly illegally built structures and buildings in the garden to restore it to its original old shape.

Known to be the oldest Park of Peshawar. It used to be one of the highlighted parks of the city. so many major sports activities used to be held over there. But unfortunately since last 2 decades it has been not given the proper attention by the administration. Most part of it has been captured by buildings and Fun-land. and because of this the Shahi Baagh has lost its charm.

It is one of the oldest park of Peshawar. We used to go there few years ago. There was so much fun. But no land Mafia is totally destroying it. And now that area is fully crowded and due to traffic issues too, no one is willing to go there. Government must take proper action to make it beautiful and clean like it was before

Great place

Presently it is not worth to visit because of heavy traffic and crowed. Major part of the garden is used in building a college and a sports stadium. There is always a great rush inside the garden. Not a clean place to visit. Better to visit Bag-e-Naran situated at a distance of about 14 kms from the main city.
