Great historical place. Give us knowledge how much civilized that nation was and there skill and growth along with with there architectural skill. Well built, high buildings, motorway at that time, invention of wheel, wind passage in home, secure washrooms colleges or educational institutions, what a great era. Govt need to explore this site more to attract more tourist. As it was such a civilized city its area should be much bigger as history tells it was biggest market place as well. You have to be very very careful as you can find snakes during your visit. So be careful and try not to sit on land there

This place is terrific and what makes me sad is that only 10% has been excavated and the remaining 90% is still unexplored. Perhaps one day we will see all of this civilization and understand their sign language too, which no one understands today. A must visit, highly recommended!

The Sindh government has decided to restore 4500 year old Moenjodaro city of the Indus Valley Civilization to its old and historic name, Mohenjo-daro, a Sindhi word meaning mound of the dead. And the reason for changing the name is that the member of Sindh Assembly is evilDuring the dictatorship of Zia-ul-Haq, this ancient civilization was deliberately tarnished by attributing it to non-Muslims. Now its time to fix the date: Sindh Assembly member Qasim Siraj Soomro.Although I think that this name has nothing to do with the era of Zia-ul-Haqs dictatorship. Now the question arises that when the name was changed from Moin Jo Daro to Mohenjo Daro, on what basis was this name suggested? And the Sindh government needs more care than just renaming the place

It is our pride. We must unite to pursue both federal and provincial govts to gear up their efforts in this respect.Dance is our subconscious, dance is our culture, dance is our root. A seal dedicated to GOD Shiva which has three face and surrounded by wild animals founded which is form of Pashupati Means lord of all Animals.. Pashupati is important form of GOD shiv as he is creator of all Animals.. A huge bathing pond founded in Mohendobaro.. In Hinduism such type of Pond used for religious festivals for holy dipping.. In Harappa a graveyard founded exactly in south direction of town.. In Hinduism south direction is dedicated to Yama( the God of death) and ancestors.. That clarify that all these places are related to Anciant Hindu civilization.. In Hinduism Rivar Indus is Reffer as Sindhu and considered as Goddess like status as River Ganga..Pakistan Government is not preserving this harritage site well and trying to erase there Hindu past..!!!

Significant excavation has since been conducted at the site of the city, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980.[4] The site is currently threatened by erosion and improper restoration.[5]Mohenjo-daro was built in the 26th century BCE.[11] It was one of the largest cities of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization, also known as the Harappan Civilization,[12] which developed around 3,000 BCE from the prehistoric Indus culture. At its height, the Indus Civilization spanned much of what is now Pakistan and North India, extending westwards to the Iranian border, south to Gujarat in India and northwards to an outpost in Bactria, with major urban centers at Harappa, Mohenjo-daro, Lothal, Kalibangan, Dholavira and Rakhigarhi. Mohenjo-daro was the most advanced city of its time, with remarkably sophisticated civil engineering and urban planning.[13] When the Indus civilization went into sudden decline around 1900 BCE, Mohenjo-daro was abandoned.[11][14]
