As I was leaving the beach I was a bit hungry and in the mood for some Indian food. I noticed this place, and decided to stop in. This location has a great ambiance. Real authentic, and down to earth feel. I ordered the tandoori chicken, some medium spicy rice, cheese nan, and mattar paneer. It was off the chain like a run away slave. By far one of the best Indian places Ive ate in the city. Give them a shot.

Great for a quick Chinese food fix. I ordered the Jja Jang Myun (black bean noodles) and fried beef with sweet and sour sauce. Delicious!

I love this grocery store!! Im all about customer service and quality and this store offers exactly that!I do my shopping in the afternoons or nights and the store is super clean and parking is never an issue. They must have a good manager because the employees are always happy, nice and friendly, always very helpful whenever I need help finding anything that shows good management skills. Ill definitely continue shopping here.

Deshi is the best store in LA. We have been coming to Deshi since the opening of the store which was about 30 years ago. The meat is the best meat you can buy in LA. We come here all the way from Tarzana. We have halal meat about a mile away from our house but we come to Deshi.

Its a Bengali establishment that been there for decades. Finding a parking space has always been an issue but being on 3rd Street I can see why. I tried picking up some spices from there but a good amount of inventory was either expired or about to expire within a few months. The food there, at the restaurant, is also a hit or miss. I had the kacchi biryani not too long ago and it was actually pretty good but went back a few days later to have the tehari and it was nowhere near close what resembles a tehari. Their butcher section is good.

Almost all their dishes have way to much oil. If you don’t want to get sick stay away from this restaurant. Oily food is not healthy. The server is rude for absolutely no reason and negligent. Lacks basic customer service.

The BEST Bangladeshi restaurant in L.A. Their dishes very closely resembles home made cooking. Not too oily, not too greasy --- just about right.

Very good place to grab variety of Bangladeshi foods that are readily available, reasonably priced, and dining area by the front end of the place. also offers some fresh produce, meat, fruits, ethnic grocery items and snacks available in the store. parking can be challenging but with a little patience eventually should be able to find a space...

The cashier doesn’t treat everyone equally. They charge some people 10$ for combo and some 8$ that’s not fair. Food isn’t even fresh sometime. Treat everyone equally.

Whole Foods is no Bristol Farms, but its better than my work cafeteria. The soups, especially the mushroom and barley, is delicious and satisfying (not so much the carrot and ginger). Many of the hot entrees though look like theyve been sitting too long under the heat lamp. The parking lot is atrocious, so go only during off-peak hours!

Very Bad Service as food takes forever to come and Then the owner is very disrespectful. He always complains about parking and told me and my friends to leave while we were eating food. We ate ever two to 3 hrs there and the owner is not there during that time and then when came later on when i had just entered and gotten tea he walked up to my friends and me and told us to leave. The place to go when you dont have time to go to Costco. This Smart and Final has a nice layout, is always clean and staff is always helpful. Save yourself some time and money and skip the regular grocery store.

They have several options for non vegetarians but only 1-2 dishes for vegetarians. The food was Good though. So I wouldnt mind going there and trying their daal (similar to lentil soup). The food is inexpensive too, so thats a plus. If I lived close to them, I wouldnt mind having my lunch there several times a week.

They are lying for their opening times, I found them closing before 30 min of the closing time as posted in google.They don’t even apologize or accept their fact when I argued with them.

The owner is being cheap about giving meat. At the same time he seems to be rasist aginst other people that are not Bengali. Bad customer service.

I want HALAL food not unhygienic food!!!Well for the beginner, **wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands***!!!This cashier guy is just not unfriendly but filthy. I observed him cleaning up the spilled food from floor and going right back at handling food, while owner is standing right there. Food handling is done with bare hands while working as cashier and smoke breaks in between!!!Hopefully health department will read this and investigates them!!!

I like the food here, but I can never convince my girlfriend to get it with be because of the dumpster out front. The hot food is great, but it isnt incentive enough to ignore the hot dumpster in the parking lot out front.

Obnoxious owner that dies over chutney(sauce) even when you are a 15 years old customer. Owner will try to tell you that the sauce is only given with snack not with a 9 dollar entree unless you want to wait while i take care of the customers that came after you because you are getting something extra from me . Really what am i getting extra?get a life there are alot of other options in the area that does not have half of their stuff past expiration date

I cant believe how terribly & badly, the customers are treated by all the employees! Even to their own people from their country. The cashier is the most unfriendly,, rude, disrespectful to customers, especially when asking to buy anything. They should learn to treat customers with respect and dignity, which means you look the person in the eyes whenevet they talk to anyone? But i dont think they coukd ever do that because they just dont care.

Very small place provide food as well as groceries. People are very rude. There are no marked prices on items. I have visited this place to buy Asian groceries. Same item$12 earlier was $18, just in a week. Please avoid.

Produce items are NOT kept in a refrigerator or in a cold case. Theyre kept here in room temperature. No idea about how the hell did they get an A from the health department. Sometimes Ive seen them getting me the raw chicken from under the cutting table. Other times, meats are fresh though. Quality of prepared food is mediocre. Seems like all of their food has the same smell lol.

Deshi is a great place for Pakistani food (and groceries, as well).Its a classic Little Bengladesh steam tray place: the restaurant is no-frills and the service is capable, if gruff (they warm up to you if you go a few times...)Sometimes ordering can be a little cumbersome, but the food is definitely worth it. Great tandoori chicken, great curries, and - especially - great fresh bread: try the paratha, its delicious.

They have good food for the price. I took out one star for their unfriendly stuff and another star for poor decor of the place.

Small Bengali grocery store and fast food. If you are looking for hot Bengali food, this is a good choice (though calorie content is not offered for food items). Most of the dishes are non-veg. Also an excellent choice if looking for fresh Hilsa fish (llish) which they will cut up and pack for you.

I like this place for their fresh, authentic food. I tried other similar restaurants in the area but was not very satisfied. This is a grocery store and restaurant. But the dining area is completely separate which I like as I have my privacy when eating. I love their Beef Tehari, Beef Khichuri, Goat and chicken biriyani. Chicken kabab is also good. Moghlai parata is very good and filling...but only available late afternoon. Their overall pricing for food is very reasonable and food quantity is very satisfactory. Two people can share their biriyanies, and other rice items. Fish and meat Curries are also good and fresh. Customer service is ok.

Excellent Food. Both Pakistani (I am one) and Bangladeshi will enjoy the food. I loved Khichri with Beef. I arrived 5 minutes after closing. I had called ahead. They allowed me to sit and finish my dinner. I was very impressed by excellent customer service and genuine sincerity. I am coming back here definitely twice a month at least. I live in San Bernardino (about 60 miles away). Enjoy your trip. I cant wait to try their famous Pratha with Nihari.

Deshi is a great place to eat. The parathas are nice and hot but not as big as at Swadesh. The veggies are great over basmati rice and they had a good variety of okra, eggplant, cauliflower, daal, and cabbage.The service takes a little while but thats because its so busy because of delicious food! :)
