An old havaily of walled city its famous for its zuljanah processions in in month of Muharam Since the 1850s, Lahore’s most important Zuljinnah procession has originated from here and travelled the same route around the walled city. And each year the procession, and reached in Karbla Gaamay shah around Azan of Mugrib . It is said the route mimics the one Saint Gamay Shah The Haveli architecture of Mughal’s era, which is still in its original form. I dont know why name written on its outside is Mubarak Havaili

It is one of the biggest oldest HAVILY which is own by family of Nawab Muzafar Ali Khan Qazalbash, social political activists manage non profit education system, now it is only open in Muharam from 1st to 10th for majalis and the biggest event of 10th ziarat zuljinah which takes around 22hours from 9th to 10th Muharam in which millions of people came to touch and pay condolence, zanjeer zani, matam in the memory of great martyr of Idlam Imam Hussain a.s. Rest of the year it remains empty and/or used by neighbors with permission from the custodian. In past life of Nawab, there was a boys Hussania high school with very minor fees and head by famous poet Waheed Ulhassan Hashmi sahab and in 1971 there was Qazalbash girls high school.

It was actually the Mubarak Haveli. The Nisar Haveli was one part of the Mubarak Haveli. The Mubarik Haveli was built by the Mughals. According to legend, it was named Mubarik, which means blessing, because a royal son was born there.The Qizalbash family got it on lease from the Mughals. Maharaja Ranjit Singh took it over briefly, but it returned to the Qizalbash when the East India Company established itself in India.  The haveli later was divided in two after Partition as property was divided in the Qizilbash family in 1928. The part where the main Ashura procession begins was named the Nisar Haveli, while the other part retained the name Mubarik. After partition Nisar Haveli became property of Nawab Muzaffar Ali Khan Qizilbash, former Chief Minister of East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) and minister for finance in 1970s.

Nisar Havelli is actually an Imam Bargah from where, the biggest procession of Ashura takes place. It belongs to a non-profit organization named Qizilbash Waqf which is a welfare organization run by Qizilbash Family. This place is more then 400 years old. The building structure is almost as it was first made. This place is religiously enlightened and has so many memories buried inside.
