Vip enclosures are fine. Sitting for public needs massive improvement. Seats for spectators are mostly dirty / worn out or broken. Race track for horses is well maintained. Floodlights are in good condition.

Because I love racing.. So I visit every week on Sunday.

One of the most beautiful & well maintained place i have seen in Lahore.The beauty of this is the majestic horses. They way they are kept is amazing. The other thing is it’s maintenance.The staff works very hard to maintain the beauty of this place and the race course.People you have to visit this place once.

Beautifully designed horse racing arena. Big enough to hold derby level races. Huge stadium for the spectators. Large blocks of stables provide space for horses.

Very good but should be more secure (lighting CCTV security guarding & covered).

Wonderful place for Horse Racing in Pakistan..But Also needs A Lot of Improvement specially in The Bookmakers Area , Washroom facilities and most importantly The capacity Of The General Enclosures must be Raised.Another suggestion is that Special Person must be allowed A free Entry like women and children and there shall b special washrooms AND there easy access to the Bookmakers.

Place for fun & Gambling

Its located near camp jail kot lakhpat previously it was in the mid of city called race course now jilani park but later it was shifted from city area to in the out skirts of town in Zia regime but now again due to expansion of city it has surrounded by growing societies and dewelling areas. Irrigation pak arab ahbab tahayat chandrai gawala colony and many others societies have grown and its needs to be shifted out side city area.

Lahore Race Club, in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, is a club concerned with the sport of horse racing, established in 1924 when Lahore was part of the Punjab Province of British India.The club is registered as a company. Some veterans claim that it dates from 1874, but although there were horse races at Lahore during that period the formal record of the present club does not go back so far. It was incorporated on 18 January 1924.The clubs racecourse was initially at Jail Road, Lahore, the current site of Jilani Park. In 1976, Zulfikar Ali Bhuttos government asked the club to move its races away from the Jail Road course, but it remained there until 1980, when it was compelled to leave.Races were not held for about fifteen months, but in September 1981 the club reinstated its racing programme on a new course at Kot Lakhpat which has a length of 2,254 metres. Since then, it has gained in strength and now organizes, among other races, the Pakistan Derby.In June 2005, the club hosted Pakistans first evening horse race under floodlights. The opening ceremony was attended by Pervez Musharraf, President of Pakistan, and Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, crown prince of Dubai, who had financed the night-racing project, the cost of which was some Rs 30 million.The chairman of the club is Tariq Aziz, former secretary of the National Security Council of Pakistan and an aide of President Musharraf.All the power used to light the park is solar

Great place for horse lovers. Infrastructure is not upto mark as people are more interested in betting rather than love for the sport. But I suppose thats the nature of this sport. Every sunday is a race day with few exceptions.
