Lahore is the second largest city of Pakistan and the provincial capital of Punjab. Apart from being the cultural and academic center of the country, Lahore is the Mughal show-window of Pakistan. Reminiscence of its hoary past is the remains of a subterranean temple in the northern part of the Royal Fort, attributed to Rama, the legendary hero of Ramayana. Lying on the main trade and invasion routes to the South Asia, Lahore has been ruled and plundered by a number of dynasties and hordes. However, it touched the zenith of its glory during the rule of the Mughals. The Mughals, who were famous as builders, gave Lahore some of its finest architectural monuments that are extinct today.

Lahore Polo Club is one of the oldest clubs in the world. The game of polo has been regularly played in the city for over a millennium by Emperors, Kings, Rulers, Princes as well as commoners. The main ground at the club is called the Aibak Ground in remembrance to the 13th century King of Delhi, Sultan Qutabuddin Aibak who died in 1210 when his horse fell while playing polo in Lahore. He is buried near the present Anarkali bazaar not far from the Lahore Fort. The Mughals, in particular, were very fond of the game. Emperor Babar, who founded the Mughal Empire in India in the 16th Century, played polo, so did his grandson Akbar the Great, who enjoyed playing this game, sometimes by torchlight.Nur Jehan, the wife of Emperor Jehangir was a polo player as well. Both of them are buried outside the city of Lahore.

Best for Horse riding, training, racing and polo playing

Its such a beautiful place to be around. Its pretty expensive if you want your kids to join for summer classes for horse ride and learn to play polo. Its part of a big park which has two types of track for jogging such as tile and mud. Mud track is 2.75KM , tile track is 5.5KM. almost a hundred Gardner work for this park and polo ground. Park has 80K trees including plants.

This name is race course now jeelani park and hamid khan polo ground. Its one of the best polo ground of pakistan. Its contain two beautiful polo ground. Polo club offer horse riding classes. Now the time no more horse races are orgnized here. Its also train and produce good polo players and horse riders.
