Oldest, largest, spacious, busiest and historical railway station of the Pakistan. Station full of facilities includes eateries, fast foods, food outlets, medical stores, washrooms, information desk, waiting lounge, charging power, general stores, book store etc. Building restored in its original brick construction having fort related edifice. Shades, roofs, bridges and staircase are completely made of metals.

Construction commenced shortly after the 1857 War of Independence against British rule, and so was built in the style of a medieval castle with thick walls, turrets, and holes to direct gun and cannon fire for defence of the structure.[2] The station is now owned by Pakistan Railways, and also serves as its headquarters.The station was built during the colonial era, and was built just outside the Walled City at the intersection of Empress Road, Allama Iqbal Road and Circular Road. Lahore Junction station was constructed by Mian Mohammad Sultan Chughtai, a former official of the Mughal Empire, between 1859-1860.The station served as the headquarters for the Punjab Railway and later would serve as the northern terminus of the Scinde, Punjab & Delhi Railway, which connected the port city of Karachi to Lahore. It was built in the style of a medieval castle to ward off any potential future uprisings, as seen in the 1857 War of Independence, with thick walls, turrets, and holes to direct gun and cannon fire for defense of the structure.[3]The station is a legacy of the extensive railway network established during the British Raj, and reflects the British contribution to the regions infrastructure. Theres a lot to discuss, but i will highlight only main frames that i enjoyed there, the building architecture is simply very beautiful. It seems like your are in 80s era, rest room is quite nice also , parking is digital there, and this also a plus point,But the thing that looked like dirty, was the behaviour of staff, i mean they are not much co-operative as anyother private transport co-operative with their customers.

One of the best and biggest railway station of Pakistan. Much nicer building and good maintained. More than 10 platforms which show how busy it gets. Lots of train arrive and depart daily. A big waiting hall on platform #2, #4 and #5. Canteen services are available. Pizza Hut is also available. Pharmacy, Bookstore, Fruit shop and other items available. Excellent place for rail lovers.

A big railway station in heart of lahore. there are 4 to 5 platforms. Porter are available her to carry you luggage and guide you to your seat. Also there is a small praying area.

Please Note! Drop lane is free for 10 minutes. This Mafia asks for 30Rs for parking. Don’t give them any penny.

I loved the vintage look of the Lahore station, probably built by britishers in the early century. Pizza hut is there if you want to have something hygienic, or else have food from hafiz across the station, because the food at the station is not good.

There is no proper waiting facility for pessengers, Customers service, Food quality, toilet conditions still in worst condition.

Lacks some basic facilities like clean water and toilets but it is very good as compared to other railway stations of our country.

Building very good and spacious but thing which is needed to be improved is that there is No availability of wheelchair access to any of the platforms execpt plateform No. 2. No access of wheelchair is possible to any train to enter.
