Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) was established in 1999 through an Ordinance (XXIV of 1999) that merged Training Institutes from Seven different departments of the Government of Punjab. As a Special Institution, TEVTA was strengthened through an Act in 2010.TEVTA arguably the largest skill provider in Pakistan, with a strong presence in every tehsil & district of Punjab, is imparting Technical & Vocational trainings in different sectors of the economy

Good courses offered. They are offering a variety of courses. This is the only tevta institute which is actually imparting skills in their students. Computer Operator course is i think only available in this institute in Lahore. The worst thing about this institute is that the courses are short course of studies and the course time should be maximum 3 hours Monday to Friday, Saturdays should be closed but im this institute they are dealing their student as school students/kids, timings from 8am to 2pm which is so wrong. I dont know why they are doing this, the teachers deal their students as school students. Those who take admission in courses have already completed Matric or Intermediate and are mature, some of them are also married. Teachers should deal them professionally and take the course as a course only which is always 3 hours long class Max. PU, ITU, UET etc universities in Lahore are offering such courses with 3 hours daily timings from Mon-Friday. Even several TEVTA institutes in Punjab follow 3 hours class pattern and in all provinces of Pakistan. They should learn from them.
