Dr. Qureshi is very knowledgeable and genuinely cares about the wellness of his patients. He reached out to me several times post-treatment to make sure I was healing properly. California Care Dental ClinicI am one of those that grew up at a time when dental hygiene and care was not really well defined. Dentists and Dental clinics were few and far between. Result was that I started developing dental issues. When I did manage to get to a Dentist, I did not question his diagnosis and sat quietly on the dental chair and endured what ever was dished out. This quiet acceptance cost me dearly in later years as my dental problems persisted, in fact multiplied. This taught me a valuable lesson as well. You as a patient must educate yourself enough to really be able to determine what to look for while seeking medical remedy. Dental issues entail severe pain hence needs immediate attention and management. How to determine for yourself which Doctor or Clinic to choose. one way is by word of mouth. Others experience with certain Doctors, hospitals may help, but I personally do not put much faith in other peoples opinions because I find their appreciation is only limited to very superficial assessments. I like to asses for myself. The foremost thing I look for is the hygienic condition in general of the premises and then the hygienic practice followed during procedures. This is most important. Patients go to Dr when sick, if the Doctors hygienic protocol is weak, you who have gone with a problem may walk out with even more infections, Yes this happens. Unfortunately in our medical practices, hygiene awareness at both ends, Doctors/Hospitals and patients is extremely poor. In my priorities this is number one.In 2012 I developed a very serious dental condition which also included a fractured Jaw bone. I visited and consulted numerous Dentists and Clinics, with my criteria of assessment, not one inspired any confidence in me. In all this was the excruciating pain that I was enduring. Despite the pain, I knew I had a complex dental condition and I just could not bring myself to settle on the first or just any Dentist. One day while going towards Nishan Colony from DHA Lahore, I had to stop because of a stalled vehicle ahead. While waiting for the traffic to start moving, I noticed a sign hidden behind trees that said California Care Dental Clinic. The pain and the condition that I was in, I was looking at everything that I came across and so far each one had fallen short of my standard. I turned around and went in. The cleanliness of the clinic gave me a glimmer of hope. A young man by the name of Maqbool, a gem, if I may say, greeted me. I inquired about the Doctors, he rattled off 4 names. I said I would like to meet whosoever is available, That is when I met Dr. Ufaq and Dr. Junaid. I started by asking them questions about their hygienic practice, utensils used, their disposal, etc etc. It seemed I was their to test them rather than be treated by them. But hats off to both, they not only tolerated me, my questions but also accommodated my suggestions as well. I had found my Dentists. A place where I could go without fear. In short, I underwent a 9 hour surgical procedure. Their pain management was excellent. After care was what moved me emotionally. Both Drs Ufaq and Junaid would visit me at home for after surgery check ups. I do not know of many Drs let alone Dentists doing that. Just goes to show there is humanity alive and kicking. California Dental Care is what I recommend to all my friends and family. My whole family is in their Dental Care.The purpose of this write up is one to create awareness amongst people on how to go about choosing medical assistance and secondly to show appreciation to Dr. Ufaq, Dr. Junaid and not to forget, Dr. Muzafar Qureshi who has introduced, taught and implemented these practices at California Care Dental Clinic.
