I study here, basically this is veterinary university but it produces graduates degree and masters in 73 different biosciences and management sciences. DVM,PHARMD,BBA,MBA, BIOCHEMISTRY, BIOTECH NOLOGY,MICROBIOLOGY,PATHOLOGY,EPIDEMIOLOGY,MLT are some major degrees being conducted here. Reasonable fee structure as it is government university and HEC recognised top veterinary university in Pakistan. Scholarships are available for needy students and foreign students also have Quota for study.

Dr.s are excellent, but the support staff have the attitude of Sarkari mulazim and are a real test of ones patience.

I visited this in early 2019 for my oral and poster presentations. The campus is located in heart of Lahore city although there is so much noise pollution due to its location in Centre of the city however the campus area is very well maintained and upto the mark. There was separate areas for female and male students. Male and female students are not allowed to sit together in groups inside the campus. The cafe offers breakfast lunch and dinner. The campus life is very good.there is a little zoo as well with birds in it. It liked the campus a lot. Food was tasty.

Excellent services

Had a horrible experience going to the pet centre. There was no one at the reception and the person came 30 minutes late. The pharmacy opened 40 minutes after the opening time. Attitude of the staff from attendants to doctors was pathetic. The veterinary named Zia Mughal has a massive unprofessional attitude. After waiting for more than 70 minutes. When finally it was time to see the veterinary, he was busy on his phone, not only on one occasion but multiple passions he was more busy with his phone.And his tone and responses were extremely rude. On the other hand his behaviour is completelythe opposite if you visit his private clinic.Like any governmental institute the staff would deny to cooperate or to help out, they have a habit of giving third class and pathetic replies.

Last month I went to visit as my pet was in bad shape. Toilets are dirty. I went by 7 Am and wasted time till 1 pm.The little Midget Doctor zia hardly sit in his seat or start using mobile phone. Just to get x ray it took time around by 11 pm.One employee first said Madame giving lecture refused to let us enter inside x ray room. After intervention by Doctor we managed to enter they were more eager to see Bill payment of 1200Rs.One employee said in Urdu janwar he hey .he didnt wanted to clean the place of x ray. This is the mentality of workersanother painful wait was for receiving report. Doctor gave no details of whatsoever just said your Pet heart is large.-He kept playing his phone. Meanwhile some Basterd inserted a nail in my car wheel which I later find out after couple of days.This is the up bringing and reality of this insitute students who are studying to serve animals After showing x ray reports to other veterines in the city they found nothing serious. Pharmacy guy in Animals Hospital asked me to buy D vorming per pill 350 Rs. Same pill in model town animals market cost 100 Rs.After wards little midget zia said drip will be must for dog which was of 800 Rs ! I refused for drip.He wanted me to come next day for drip too. The inthuisia injection costed 130Rs while in his Dha clinic he charges 1000Rs for same injection! ( my pet Better by my own supervision and serving him fresh home cook food. He was just good poisioned )This is the reality of these dis honest incompetent Basterds. Dont take your pets there its waste of time aswell their life can be in Danger.

Very disappointed from the overall poor and substandard services of the administration.To initiate,I would call it a University which lacks modern thinking,principles and practices as it does not provide a healthy environment for the students to study.Secondly,it is the sole institution in Lahore where one can hardly find a normal and healthy person and I am particularly referring to some lecturers,deputy director and their security staff.The most ridiculous thing is here nobody looks after your rights being a student rather you are not allowed to express your viewpoint and freedom of choice.Finally,it doesn’t meet the requirements of a modern institution where one can learn positive and productive things rather their preference is to continue following the backward system.Therefore,it would be best in favour of UVAS to be converted into an animal hospital.Thanks google for giving me a chance to express my say.Wish you all best of luck for your future studies.Cheers

The largest veterinary University. Which is located at nearby pattoki spreading a quality education to students.

The university is also a hospital and it is good but not too good because the staff is kind of weird I mean the doctor. And it is open so is very hot in summer and the pets are like sweating as well as people. Plus they just do their business and never answers any other question like about the pets diet. And Ive visited it just one because my kittens were dehydrated.

I visited the university for some personal work. Got impressed with the educational environment, cleanliness and buildings. Apparently, the buildings and atmosphere looked much different from typical outdated, shabby and dilapidated govt institutions. but obviously its a laymans observation looking things from a distance. cant comment on inside state of affairs. Good thing abt UVAS is that its maintaining its own Dairy and Beef centres claiming to provide pure and uncontaminated food items. inquired a bit and found that yes some quality control is there under the nose of UVAS for Beef and especially milk and hence milk is not easily obtained. Demand outweighs supply.
