Tho college was set up by Sardar Diyal Singh in United India before 1947. It is goid that Pakistan Government decided to keep name unchanged after 1947. It was a big tribute to the gentleman. The college has played a great role in educating the middle class youth of Lahore after they passed their high school.

Deyal Singh College, Nisbat Road, Lahore (1910)A donation of a great person, Philanthropist of Lahore, Deyal Singh Majetha, meeting of Historian/Chairman, Lahore Shahnasi Foundation Faizan Naqvi and Explorer Veer Shuaib Raza with the Principal Prof. Naeem Akbar Yasin in presence of Prof. Hafiz Naeem and Prof. Khalil Niazi Sahib, Faizan Naqvi presented his newspaper to the Principal and a memorial cup of Deyal Singh College was given by the Principal, a rare portrait of Sardar Deyal Singh was also shown.

My (I) wish to get admission here , but it so far from my place. Well its one of oldest and historical place ever. Its building red like material , its front elevation is unique. Most of famous politician, actors, bureaucrat etc had completed their education. I dont know who was dyal singh but this place exists at this location.

Govt Dyal Singh College a great institution but in the past it was considered that the people who are not able to get admission in any other college like FC college Civil line Collge or islamia College railway road lahore. are studying in this college. I was in Govt islamia College Civil line and I was in the gymnastic team .our match was in the Dyal Singh College.
