Its is a good college with knowlegeable and experianced staff. Its on prime location with a beautifull buiding and quality study. Teacher are friendly there are 2 canteens one near chemistry department on right in front of mosque which i recomends and other near physics department on left. If you want copies you can go chem department canteen. You can offer namaz in mosques. This college offers a wide range of subject in bachelour. Also good for intermediate students who want to study its study is no less than other college(Also compared with private colleges) if a students want to learn. One of best colleges in Lahore.

I am a student of BSIT here and it is the worst department in the whole college.In department of IT there isnt a single teacher we could call a professor. Only 2 lecturers and they recruit contract based newbies (fresh bachelors) to teach bachelors. Sometimes tgose teacheres directly tell us that they dont know the answers to our questions cause they are also the same age and mental level than us.The head of department is not cooperative at all and they dont folow any rules. He is so unsecure about his seat. He harasses students mentally and keep putting pressure on them.P.s. he opens his office once in a blue moon. )Other departments are good they dont have teachers problems. Department of Physics, Mathematics, psychology, philosophy, English and others are really good. They always send good and experienced professors for teaching minor subjects.Principal and voice principal are the gentlemen. They even put a suggestion box in front of their offices and they always listen to students and help them.

The college by its present name came into being on 8 August 1973, in compliance with the orders of the then Governor of the Punjab, after merging Government Superior Science College, Lahore and Government Degree College, Wahdat Road, Lahore. At the same time the building which was constructed to house Government Intermediate college for Girls, Gulberg, Lahore and which remained unutilized, was also annexed to the college building and was named Government College of Science, Wahdat Road, Lahore. M. A. Saeed was appointed its first principal.

Because hostel facility and very lesser marks are required to admit in it and high qualified teaching staff approximately all teachers are Ph.D from well-known institutions in Pakistan and European countries .They are very hardworking and respectable staff. But the students have Keen interest in their self study.They dont like academy in the second time.

I did my FSc here. As far as infrastructure is concerned, it is one of best public colleges in Punjab.But Jamiat has strong hold and disturbs educational activities time and time again. Professor are not interested in teaching students either. You are left on your own. Join private academy to cover subject courses. Admin saff is very rude, they act illiterate so beware while talking to them.
