Really liked how everything was finger-licking good. We tried chicken chilli dry, beef black pepper, braised mushrooms with brocolli, hot and sour soup and seafood scallops soup. Apart from the top class ambiance, which was pretty expected, the taste was just exceptional. Usually people go there for ambiance but to me, both taste and ambiance very pretty good. We were also served with complementary fish crackers and green tea but i must mention one thing apart from all the praise that staff service was below par which is the only reason that I have not given it full rating. Total bill including tax was around rs. 15,000 which seems expensive but its totally worth it.
One of the hidden gems at pearl Continental hotel lahore. The food is mouth watering starting from appetizers to main course. We at MMFF magazine tried Jumbo Prawns which were unmatchable quality, not oily at all and were crisp till the end. The Hot n Sour soup is also a winner.Next had Kungpao fish and Beef Chilli Dry . Both were items were quite tasty with Egg Fried Rice. The prices are also not so very expensive
There was no table cloth. Table tops were of ordinary formica. We had to “negotiate “ the order because for everything they had a caveat. Starters came with the main course. We ordered 5 dishes out of which only one ie black pepper beef was worth eating. The staff were wearing clothes in which they had probably done some wrestling an hour back. So the overall experience was extremely poor
Nice ambience and tasty food
Good staff,Managed, rates are bit high, secure, parking issues at peak hours, clean, Hygienic, food need more improvements.Wheel chair access is difficult.
Absolutely wonderful experience...The beautiful hostess, the chef and all the service staff together contributed to a superb dinner for the family. The decor could be upgraded or changed.
Food was rubbish as far as breakfast is concerned. Too expensive!
It’s quite surprise to have an average Chinese food from one of the restaurants in PC Lahore. It’s quite easy to get authentic Chinese food due it’s penetration in the world and rise of china in past couple of decades. Yet, some restaurants didn’t keep up with the trend. Tai-Pan could be one of the restaurants.Let’s start with the food. I think considering the place, this was one of the most ordinary and forgetful food experiences I have had. The service as slow and although servers were polite, but they weren’t friendly or seemed comfortable. I ordered dumplings and regretted my decision right after the first bite of it. Ordinary taste with thick layer for dough made it quite a challenge to eat. I would have expected that from a less fancy and ordinary place but not from Tai-Pan.Rest of the food was just ok. There was nothing special to remember about it than an overpriced food.
