So if your patient needs urgent medical attention do not repeat do not come hereIf the doctor decides to admit the patient than again you have to wait for a day or 2 just to get the roomTill that time the patient is kept in various rooms used by doctors to examine the patientThe only food they will give during that period for patient is sandwiches and juice. If you ask that why normal food is not given theFor in patients the consultants here have a very casual attitude. Their is no inter departmental coordination so the attendants have to run from pillar to post just to get their patients treated and to ensure that wrong drug is not administered to the patientOnly their oncology department is working very good but that too is suffering from shortage of staff

This hospital provides a lot of facilities to patient . You can park your vehicle easily. The Staff is very cooperated and alert. There are many no of rooms for patients. The Doctors are very friendly and helpful.

The hospital provides good facilities and cares for the patients unlike any government hospital. The facility and faculty both are commendable. The institute also offers activities for young people.

Pathetic hospital.I went SKMH Lahore on 12/11/2020 for Covid-19 test. After checking all my documents, they gave me a hand written token. I waited there for almost one and a half hour, when my turn came, they said that my documents are incomplete so that they will not proceed with the test. The test fee was PKR6,500/-The staff there was soo rude and illiterate. Even the supervisor of that medical team was very rude but when I negotiate with them then they said that if I pay PKR8,500/- they will proceed with the test.I went to another laboratory with the same documents and they proceeded with the test.Such a shame.I was a big supporter and voter of PTI but after experiencing this kind of situation and seeing their Governments last two years performance, I want to request all of you that Please stop donating this hospital and stop supporting PTI.

Im going there science 2008 when i was a patient of brain tummer. After successful operation, Alhamdulillah im ok till no. Just going for rutiene checkup & MRI once in a year. JzakAllah prime minister of Pakistan for this hospital which gives any kind of help to the patients.

It is Pakistans largest cancer hospital and its home to the largest radiation oncology centre.

Shaukat Khanum Hospital is one of the best of its kind. Neat an clean and especially I have never seen such humble and polite staff anywhere. They are extremely cooperative and respectful.

A good hospital but their selection criteria to accept a patient is very unfortunate for some people. Generally the hospital is kept really clean and tidy. All the machines are state of the art with good staff who are professionals but the time to present the reports for Radiology takes a lot of time which is really frustrating because everyone wants to know their test result on ASAP basis.

I can’t comment over the quality of the treatment however the fact that my mother was refused an early stage breast cancer treatment here on grounds of elderly age (50+), that too fully funded, is enough for me to keep a bad opinion of this hospital. They pursue an active policy of cherry picking their patients to maintain an illusory public image of their success rate. This doesn’t make them the best but only in their very limited role. However on a side note, the facilities and services were better in general than the most cancer treating hospitals I’ve been to.

Good for 1st or 2nd stage cancer patients but theres no place for stage 3 or 4 cancer patients here.

This is the worst hospital i ever visited. Poor management, illiterate Staff, highly unprofessional doctors.The way of treating is such a disaster. My father was died here after diagnosis of 5 months.He was there as private patient and Dr. Sumaira Butt was his oncologist. She only attended him at first appointment and prescribed the treatment after that my father was attended by junior Doctors and the are highly unprofessional and incompetent. we took my father 4 times in the Emergency and they never admitted him despite of his poor health conditions. He was suffering from epilepsy, dysphagia, and much more pain that i cant describe :( :(. at this situation we feel so much helpless, and at the 2nd and last appointment of my father with Consultant (Dr. sumaira butt) she told us my father will not survive.after 1 week my father was died in the palliative care of this hospital, writing this review is not easy even i consider this 1 star to zero.

My father 67 years and my sister 38 years have treated in shoukat khanum, they both are healthy now alhumdulillah, so i had a alot of experience in skmc, senior doctors and surgeons are very good and experienced but junior doctors such a hilarious, very unprofessional(china doc), emergency staff is illiterate , they discharged my father when his tumour bursted ,my father was really in pain ,lucky i fought with him and dont let my father go home , i made complaint orally and written but haven’t get any positive feed back .nurses staff i am not satisfied, i dont want but still giving 5 stars emotionally

A giant setup run by illiterates and grade four staff. Absolutely no responsible body to hear your grievances; though theres a quality insurance department which is only for show as they do nothing but to pretend they care. Security guards, counter staff, nurses and medical officers are the worst! I regret I contributed in the construction of this worst hospital

Worst staff, sick attitude of in house doctors and counter staff!!! It looks good only on newsstands and TV ads! No responsible authority to hear your grievances about the unprofessional behaviour of their employees. Only thing which makes them happy is to put their hands in your pocket and take everything they can! Such a shame and undignified institute!

Sorry to say that they cannot locate their own duty doctor if his/her cell phone is off. No other method to teace a person on duty.

This place has capability to provide best medical services and is the best place to cure Cancer.I donated blood here to a child and the machinery was of very advance technology and the environment was very calm and relaxing.Staff was very cooperative and skillful.I donated white blood cells from my blood and after the process i was just fine and didnt felt any problem at all.In this hospital poor people can have free of cost cancer treatment and their treatment is done with the advance technology machines and this hospital runs on fundings for the poor people.People who are able to pay for the treatment (well off financially) have to pay for their treatment.

The hospital is great, with good facilities. Its procedures may seem unusual to people but they have been put in place to ensure smooth working and to help everyone, without discrimination or bias.

The hospital was built by Imran Khan, Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician and now elected Prime Minister. He had a vision to make cancer treatment accessible to every citizen of Pakistan, regardless of his/her background. This is evident by the hospital’s mission statement:“To act as a model institution to alleviate the suffering of patients with cancer through the application of modern methods of curative and palliative therapy irrespective of their ability to pay, the education of health care professionals and the public and perform research into the causes and treatment of cancer”. Designing and execution of the master plan was overseen by Dr. Nausherwan K. Burki (MB, PhD, FRCP, FCPS, FCCP) of the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky, USA in collaboration with an international team of cancer physicians and research workers. Designing and architectural services were provided by Arrasmith, Judd & Rapp, Architects in Health Planning of Louisville, Kentucky, USA. Architectural details were handled by Messrs. Nayyar Ali Dada & Associates of Lahore. Local engineering was performed by Messrs. Progressive Consultants, Lahore. Ground was broken in April 1991 and the hospital opened its doors on 29 December 1994.

I did fellowship in medical oncology from 2015 to 2018 here. Training is of international standards. This is my mother institution for oncology. Along with medical training, i also learned mannerisms, ethics, civilization and good character from this place. All staff is highly professional here. I will ever love and respect this place.

Dearth of clinical trials for patients who are put under palliative care in advance stages. They dont offer Immunotherapy for patients so you cant claim you are the best hospital.

I have been here twice, both for second opinion.First visit: It was for my father when he was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. We just wanted to make sure if the treatment being given to him was appropriate according to the stage. Walk-in Clinic, predictably was crowded as the case study is free of charge, where they decide if the patient is curable or not as they don’t offer palliative care in advanced cancer patients. So a House officer looked at the case and referred me to a Medical Specialist who just told me that, as she wasn’t an Oncologist so she couldn’t tell me if the Rx going on was right or not. So basically, it was a waste of time and the whole process took me around 5-6 hrs.Second visit: For a patient suffering from Parkinson’s Disease accompanied with undiagnosable lower limb Edema. I faced some issue at the reception despite having an appointment. But the Doc was very helpful, he tried his best to help out and give suggestions as the patient was not present to have the history and stuff.

State of the art hospital. No other hospital like this in the region. International standard hospital. But , way to costly for the patients seeking treatment on their own. Too much expensive for a middle class man. 30k room charges for a single day for In Patients Department. Imran khan should consider about it to make the treatment affordable for all classes of the society.

But facts are very different it hardly treats 1500-2500 patients every years and people think that every patient who gets to this hospital will be treated.It only takes patients with cancer at minor stages, less than 45 years age.Labs are very expensive for general public.The lucky patients who get admission will then be kept with much care.Total Installed Capacity at Lahore is 144 Bed.I have go through this experience as my late father was suffering from cancer and they refused to treat him.I have accompany with me 4 patients of cancer from my village who are also polity refused.I urge the people to also donate for INMOL , Jinnah Hospital and Mayo Hospital which never refuse to any patient at whatever stage.

Bad security staff behaviour. They are illmannered. I parked my car and was entering the hospital building but the security staff behaved badly. I asked him to check me and I am here for doctor consultation but he misbehaved again.He said to me where is your card, I told him that I dont have any card except ID but he told me to get out. What kind of hospital is this where security staff show attitude. There will be more better cancer hospitals than this. Where no one respects you. They receive heavy fee on tests. AGHA KHAN is much better than Shukat khanum.

My experience has been great. Things get delayed at times but they are very much serious about time management and process management.An overall excellent experience.

State of the art hospital, but unfortunately dont take Stage III and IV patient above 50 years of age. Laborateries, Radiology and Pathology Department is excellent. CT scan, MRI and Echocardiograms are overbooked so need to plan before visit on phone. They need to purchase Cyberknife ASAP.

Trying to connect radiology department to get some information about “Sheer wave elastography” and after 8-10 call transfer from department to department call goes disconnected waste 28 minutes n get nothing in the end.Same thing happened 2nd time.Very poor customer service

Shoukat khanum is a goood hospital. I have been here several times. I personaly felt that staff is so coperative. very goood parking space, express lane for ambulence. cleanliness at its peak. the only thing bothered me was the approach to the hospital. its on the service road, rahter it should be on the main road.

Dr Muhammad azhar awan (cardiology) is a rapist - he drugs and rape woman - this guy is lucky he’s not in jail in the UK but hopefully more victims will turn up soon and he will be extradited to the UK from Pakistan to face justice.Not long left for you scum bag rapist!

Although this is the best managed hospital in Pakistan, but my yesterday experience was very painful. I was given an appointment for Dr Irfan Yousaf , we got registered at opd reception and they did not guide us to deliver appointment paper to the reception of the relevant Dr. I visited the nursing 1 for thrice and they asked to wait, after 5 pm I was told to visit next week at 4 pm.there was lack of coordination among departments.
