Tollington Market use to be behind museum on Mall Road around 20 years ago but was later on transferred to Jail Road at the edge of an open sewer with an idea to make disposal easy. The previous Nawaz Govt. set forward another Plan to transfer it outside Lahore boundary because the market waste is resulting in filling up the sewer and make the water flow slow increasing chances of overflow. The idea was greatly opposed by the shopkeepers and franchise owners stating they were promised that a bridge will be built upon it to stop any waste from entering it but the promise was never fulfilled. The case regarding this is in Higher Court and is under proceedings.

The shopkeeper sold me the pair as a red eyes cocktail but unfortunately the birds are black eyed.Once it was the most elite market at the junction of anarkali and mall road but now it is full of mess and garbage.
