This is very nice Society. You can live here in this society safely. 24 hours security available and no fear of any theft here, all sided boundary and guarded.All families living here is very decent. This society also have Government Degree College for girls.One big Masjid for prayers. Having palying grounds of each block.Only one drawback is that there is too much crowd of traffic on shahkam chowk going towards Bahria Town or Thokar Niaz Baig.

Apart from the respect attached to the government service in our society, the only consolation used to be a handsome pension and G.P Fund with which they could buy a house on superannuation. The Government of the Punjab has launched a scheme of providing houses/plots to all Government Servants from BS-1 to BS-22 at the time of their retirement. The scheme is on the analogy of the defense forces housing schemes where the officers pay the development and construction cost, and the land is provided free of cost by the Government.Punjab Government Servants Housing Foundation (PGSHF) was established as a corporate body under the Punjab Government Servants Housing Foundation Act, 2004, promulgated on 10.03.2004, to introduce a scheme for providing houses or plots on no profit no loss basis to Government Servants on their retirement or to their families in case of death during service. The Foundation is managed by a Board of Directors headed by the Chief Secretary, Punjab including 7 ex-officio members. The Managing Director is the Chief Executive of the Foundation.

Its a very reasonable community to live in. Most residents are retired government servants from all across Punjab.Being administered by government, the speed of work is often slow and one feels the inefficient working style of the admin.This project was launched in 2004 by Ch. Parvaiz Ilahi (chief minister at that time). The idea was to offer a residence to the retiring provincial government employees of Punjab based on their scale.This is the only phase where houses have been constructed. In later phases of this project, only plots are being given. This change was probably cased by the change of political power in Punjab in favour of Shahbaz Sharif who started his own name carrying Aashiyana housing project.
