The marked place (Pined) is actually a Bus Stop, got its name because of nearby Merewether Clock Tower.Visited with my friends, an excellent place for those who love history. It is very easy to visit Merewether tower, just ask a bus conductor if it is going to tower and ride then ride off at tower stop. Or just ask taxi or rikshah to drop you at tower. The power and cable TV wires crossing around the clock tower is making its appears ugly, government should interfere and remove those wires from the face of the tower. The park around the tower should be maintained and open for the visitors with a charge of fee so that it did not become safe heaven for drug addicts.It is an excellent place for the visitors and specially for the first time visitors. There are many restaurants in the surrounding where one can have tea, coffee, snacks or even lunch or dinner. Remember to bring your camera with you.

MEREWETHER CLOCK Tower.MEREWETHER clock Tower named after General Sir William L. MEREWETHER,Who served Commissioner-in-Scinde Scinde (Sindh) from 1868 to 1877.It took 8 years in Construction.In 1892 it was handed over to Karachi Municipality by Commissioner-in-ScindeEvan James.It is said that the architecture of MEREWETHER Tower is in the form of an Eleanor Cross.Eleanor crosses were 12 stone monuments,Which were erected in England between 1291 to 1294.It is restored by Karachi stock Exchange with collaboration of City Nazim Namatullah khan in 2003.IN 2015 Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan Limited adopted the heritage MEREWETHER Tower.We hope they preserve the one of Pakistan finest architectural treasures.

Nice place to wait for your bus. This is because all transport of the city takes place from here.You will be moved to your destiny from a variety of buses offering service. It is busy for 24 hours. People move here and there all the time in search of livelihood.There are many paid stalls and an Edhi House also there. This way your appetite will be filled irrespective if you had money or not
