They make improvised arrangement at a makeshift place ie a garage in Seaview apartments to screen movies. But dont let the paucity of a dedicated structure discourage you from attending their screenings. The selection of movies is very artsy, the sound and projector very professionally setup and the seating arrangement very comfortable. To add icing on the to the already free cake, they serve popcorn and tea on the house. To top it all off, the discussion in the end is very interactive and leaves you with some food for thought (i.e if you havent gorged on their complimentary food to reduce you to a state of stupor as a possible freeloader would). I have attended on screening and couldnt wait for more.
The concept of going to the cinema is very much alive in our day and age. Even with things like Netlfix, it is pretty great to go to a cold and dark cinema and watch a movie with a bunch of strangers. This trend has increased in the past decade, as more and more cinemas keep opening up. However, after the Pulwana attack, cinema is Pakistan took a hit. Bollywood movies were banned from filming all over Pakistan-effectively taking away the huge audience. Cinema 73 found a way through this.
