Manghopir is a rural area of Karachi, named after Sufi Pir Haji Syed Sakhi Sultan. The area has the oldest Sufi shrines in the city, hot sulphur springs that are believed to have curative powers, and many crocodiles - believed locally to be the sacred disciples of Pir Mangho.Balochs often call this place as ‘Mangi’ or Garm-aab / Sard-aab (due to the presence of the hot & cold springs)The ancient inhabitants of Karachi also hold a festival at this place every year and express their devotion. They sing songs in the old language and dance to the drums.There is also a lake in which there are a lot of crocodile which are fed meat and sweets in devotion, at the same time people also say that one crocodile here is 100 years old.

It is a different place now easily accessible because of new road construction. There is a famous hostorical shrine (history discussed in our school text books). Quiet astonishing to find a large number of crocodiles at a pond attached to this place. As per local people, some crocodiles were given to Zoo management as well but they couldnt survive out of this place.

Mangho pir shrine and its lake, Truly a mysterious place as there is no explanation about crocodiles which are abundant there and living peacefully. But disappointed to see this famous and fabulous place is lacking amenities from tourists point of view. Lake isnt developed that it can attract people again.

I like it. little bidat is there so that is not the fault of buzurg or late peer. bidaats main reason is un education. Awareness of ISLAM is required. it is A oldest shrine. once upon time peer was educateing peoples for ISLAM.

There is warm water for help of people to take bath in (scabies) (itch) problems

An interesting place to visit apart from religious beliefs. It has nearly 45 crocodiles where people come to offer them meat as Nazrana. It also has hot water springs which is famous for the fact that it ails skin diseases.
