There are two buildings of Custom Houses, one is old of British times and other is new one, adjacent to old one which is in front of Jinnah Bridge and Merewether Tower. Outside street is very good looking, spacious and bound for only relevant people. The good restaurant and pan shops and juice shops available as well as typing work and stamp papers are also found.

Its a beautifully ornate classical building and remembrance of British Era named as Old Custom House. The streets in front of the building is neatly paved with lined lights pole and have a benches to sit and hang out for common people. In the same queue, lies important building start from KPT, custom house and Federation House. The street leads to the Pursukoon chowk - A humble Monument for the common people of Kharadar.

The custom house building is located next to the iconic KPT building. The building is huge and all relevant customs officers and the related staff is stationed. The approach of the area is restricted. Car parking for visitors is not available which makes the road in the vicinity congested. Outside of the building there is a sitting area which although has few benches still is maintained.

It is one of the busiest places in Karachi.
