Soothing ambience, close to nature. Designed disposition. Looking at the frequency of visitors place is small. Serving staff helpful, and smiling, well behaved. Conscious on personal hygiene unlike most high end eateries around the city.

Alhumdulillah delicious food. Good serving size. Havent tried the tea or coffee so cant comment. Really liked the bun kebab, Special Mix Chaat and Chicken Garlic Mayo Roll. Its usually packed on weekends so expect to wait or get a reservation earlier.

This place is cool! You can some exciting Karachi street food items like Chaat, Pani Puri, Bun Kabab, Lassi and many more!! My wife and I loved it.. Waiters are slow but there is a manager Ashraf, just call him and he can sort your order. Also tried Chapta Kabab but honestly it wasnt as good as I was expecting.

An excellent cafe within the Khaadi outlet. The interior is chic. Sorts of an opportunity to see how Khaadi home products are supposed to be put to good use. The food was good. We tried their khaosoy and lanterns special grill. The khaosoy is one of the best available options in the city. The grill, or chullo kebab, are also good.the only let down was knowing their fried are reheated and come packages, offering little opportunity of any alteration to suit individual taste.

Good experience. Pani puri shots were wonderful. Disco Khakra taste was so so, although presentation was good. Bun kabab as and palak paneer was also good.Tawa chicken tasty n spicy.

Went for a quick snack and tea to this cafeVery tastefully done up in Khaadi stuff. The owner was super hands on and very helpful in terms of prompt service and advice on menu. As I waited for my food, I got a complimentary nimbu pani I ordered a veg kakra and doodh patti chai. Loved them both. Def plan on coming here again

Food was served fresh and hot, quick service, quality was at par with the best of what Karachi has to offer, although when it came to taste, some of the dishes were bland, such as Chapta Chicken Kebabs with saffron rice and Chicken Khao Suey.Although, I would not recommend this to anyone looking for a quick snake as the waiting times are 20+mins minimum and you need to keep checking with the hosting staff.The serving staff, however, were quite friendly and helped out my 9 month old kid with a high chair.To top it all off, Rabri & Jalebi with Kashmiri tea was a odd touch and nicely put together desert. The tea was served slightly cold.

First time coming to Kanteen/Desi Gali express. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The food was fantastic, everything fresh and hot came to the table. The service was quick and the staff was very professional. The ambiance was very lively and creative. Really enjoyed my experience, highly recomend this place, will definately be back.

My first experience was really bad. The servers kept placing orders on wrong table. The second experience, however, was good. The management seems to have learnt from their mistakes.

Loved the place and all the interior. Stop by for lunch. Ordered some cheese naan, gol gappy and chatt. Food was really good and service was quick. Only thing is that in the end we ordered Chaaye which took more than 30 minutes because the guy missed the order first. Well no complains.. had a good time here so definitely gonna visit some time again in future.

The food was really tasty and they have managed to collect so many of the local cuisines in Karachi, especially the street food. However, two people including myself got sick. Did not expect that. The ambience was good but it was a small place. Also, the food took forever to come and the air conditioning was just not up to scratch.

Excellent ambiance!Tried Nachos and Chicken Cheese Paratha.Looking forward to visit one more time and try burgers and rolls.

Ambience goog, service slow, dhaba pathans tea is far better then their tea and ALOO paratha was pathetic, Maid s paratha or home made use to be far better.

Ambience is spot on. Vibes are good. But as for the food. Its very pricey. Worth trying once but I guess for the taste and quantity in comparison with the price, totally not worth it. If you want to show off on your snapchat and IG, its one of the places to go. Staff was courteous but, service was below average. Lazy waiters although we went there at around 01:00 pm when it was not crowded much

A wonderful addition to this niche of restaurants serving Desi Food in Desi Style. Prices are bit higher but in my openion compensated by adequate quantity of food and overall ambiance of the restaurant.

Where do I start, their food is NEVER fresh, tastes mediocre, we had Tawa chicken which was old and dry and we really shouldn’t have! I feel sick with diarrhoea and I have been vomiting all day! AVOID this place at all cost! Minus one star if I could do it on here.

Went to khaadi canteen today near BBQ at around 8pm....was told to wait for 40-45 min (for 3 people). Waited for 1.5 hours and left without dinner and a table....apparently it was extremely mismanaged and they had no idea how soon a table for 3 would be available. Half the time the reception was empty and no coordination between the tables emptied and those waiting to be seated. Most of the people were entering and surrounding tables to catch a seat for dinner.....extremely disappointing experience

I am visiting Karachi for a brief trip from USA. Decided to go to this place for Sunday breakfast, located within the premises of Khaadi store. Great ambience which enhanced the dining experience. We tried the Laccha paratha, halwa puri, dam ka keema, Nutella waffles along with chai. The food was simply phenomenal. the service was quick and friendly with the servers constantly checking in to see if we needed anything else. This meal was the highlight of my visit to Karachi. Definitely the best food I had during this trip. Will definitely be visiting this place again.

We were recommended this place because of pani puri shots. Upon arrival , we were told these are not available. It is what it is so I do not hold it against the restaurant. the order was nothing complicated, one chaat, one bun kebab (not trio), one bihari beef roll and plain cheese fries. Had to wait over 30 mintus for this to be served. During this time there was no update regarding the order. We were told the fries will not have spices but there were. We were told that the chaat will not have sweet chutney but it did. The bihari beef roll, was obviously recycled-microwaved. Cherry on top, our daughter spotted some furry pets running around on the floors, in day light. Yes RATS! Ambience is good but unfortunately looks arent everything. The manager was notified, who was candid enough to let us know that the have had this problem before as well.

Good good and ambiance ; slow service can be improved

Last night, I visited Desi Gali at Khaadi Kanteen, Clifton, Karachi with my family. We ordered Pani Puri Shots, Channa Chaat, Chicken Tawa Qeema, Butter Chicken and Chullu Kabab Plater. The ambience was amazing but the food was terrible and lousy; everything was cold and tasteless. Moreover, we all felt nauseatic even after hours of having food. It was sheer waste of money. I will advise people not to visit Desi Gali.

This is a place owned by Khaadi and is located at a beautiful area of Clifton. Opposite Bilawal House and BBQ tonite, this restaurant is located right in the premises of Khaadi store. The entrance of this restaurant is from the store of Khaadi store and is located on the mezzanine floor. The escalators would take you for the entrance. This is the place where you get all local food at a premium price. Pakistani dishes are spread all over the menu. We ordered daal chawal and dum qeema which was brought along with pickle and papad. The waiters and staff is very friendly and they have a welcoming gesture. There is also a car parking space where the authorities charge Rs. 20. The taste is very good and homely. The environment is very cosy and there is music with high volume. The chairs and seating in also comfortable where as there are some chairs that have cushions. There are large seats also available for a group of people who want to sit together. There is also a corridor type place where a balcony is seen. People can sit outside in the corridor and enjoy the veiw along with their food. All in all it is a different concept and worth trying once atleast. The quantity is less though and the price is also on the higher side.

I love the atmosphere and the feel of the restuarant. The food menu could be better and more extensive but always a very welcome place to go.

Reasonable spot for having Chai Paratha. But yes, I heard that food is also really good here as compare to the fool available in the surrounding.

Took too long to take the order. One of the dishes was undercooked and had to sent back. Afghan kawa was plain green tea. Didnt know how to charge the credit card. Overall a very poor experience and I wont be going back.

Good desi food .... with extreme high pricing....

Good addition to the usual tea restaurants in a well done up setting. Go here for the tea, chaat, tapas style snacks and ofcourse a variety of parathas. Usually crowded and theres a wait for 15-20 minutes, though the staff will try to scare you away by saying minimum wait is 40-50 minutes. So hang in there and youll get a table. Has both smoking and non-smoking sections. Staff is friendly.
