Fresco sweets Burns road is one of the oldest shop in Karachi. They are famous for their all kinds of sweets and bakery items. Their Dahi Barray, Arbi Paratha and Jaleebi are one of the best in Karachi and must try.

For Jalebi, Arabian paratha and their own unique brand of sweet dahi Phulki they are best and unmatchable. Speciality of Karachi and a trade mark must taste items. For me Jalebi is number one.My must stop over whenever I am passing by.

11 Oct 2020: Enjoyed first time breakfast with family. It was not only tasty, hygienic but also pretty economical. We paid only Rs 400 for 12 poori (mini paratha) plus chana, tarkari and Halwa. The staff is polite and helpful. It is located on Shahrahe Liaquat, near Burns Road crossing. They have separate Sweet meat shop. We bought gulab jaman half kilo for Rs 360. The whole family enjoyed it. Though there isnt decent space inside. No effort is made to clean the footpath and adjacent streets for the visitors as well.

Whenever I visit downtown I always hangout at Fresco for famous Dahi Baray and Jalebi. Taste is remains the same.

Dahi phulki is awesome where as aalo samosa had less filling.

Fresco Sweets was undoubtedly the reputed establishment of yesteryears , but it cannot be ignored in totality about the name or the quality itself only , the slight difference in maintenance of freshness or it could be the drastic changes in the todays trendy market .. As newly setup Sweet-Baker shops with new varied quantity price and taste could be the reason .. Fresco Sweets owners may have diversified their interest and business activities , anyway Fresco Sweets name still stands with the name Sweet and taste in Karachi ..

If you want Dahi Barey, go to the corner most shop, the next is for the best Jalebi in town, then from next sweet shop you can get best gulab jaman and qalaqand, if you want Arabi paratha and chicken samosa, the next shop is for that.On opposite side of road, Bahshani has the best bengali sweets

Their jalebi is very good, arabic paratha is good can not comment on other things because i havent tried them

What to tell about burns road it is known by every citizen of Pakistan i think.. Fresco dahi baray, arbi paratha, bun kabab is amazing in front of fresco.. Bhashani sweet is amazingon the right of the fresco just second shop theres no name of it but their king size jalebi i call it jaleba is very juicy.. A must try things at burns road.

While it used to be one of the most famous and talked about places to have Dahi Bare, I have had it twice at Fresco in past two months or so and found it to be just like many other places serving dahi bare in Karachi City. Infact I know a Reerhi wala who serves better dahi bare then Fresco. I found the phulkies a bit hard here at Fresco...

Amazing bakery with very delicious Grato jalebis.

Fresco sweets is famous sweet shop on old food street of karachi i.e burns road. This shops seems to date back to partition era, may be. This is the old shop and need some decoration work. They lack much of the variety but are priced reasonable and taste also good. They are once pioneer of the sweet industry untill competitors taken the position from them. Now there are lots of other big names in the industy, both local and multinational.They need to positioned theirself in coming years otherswise might lose their business. I found fresco sweet outlets in punjab but there were no mention of karachi branch so it seems they have no connection with that business.

Visited Fresco sweets on 10 Oct 2020 on return from Cafe Bogie near City Railway Station. Bought gulab jamun and other sweets. Taste was really good and upto the billing.

I was visiting this place on recommendations of someone for Dahi Bhallay. Being from Punjab my idea of Dahi Bhallay was quite different, mine included chopped onions, green chilli, tomatoes and spices (so it was overall a spicy dish with a hint of Chana Chaat). But I was in for a surprise as I saw chickpea flour dough balls floating in sweet yogurt. They looked quite bland, but the person added some Paapdi and spices over it turning it into an amazing blend of sweet and spicy yogurt with those soft dough balls. It was a great experience and I’d definitely recommend it.Although I was tempted to try their Arabic Paratha as well, but my caloric intake was done for the day. So, left Paratha for another trip to the amazing and historic Burns Road.

The king of jalebi. Nothing like it anywhere. Manic area to go to though. Even more so during Ramadan 2020 because of dug up roads. But its a must visit place

Fresco is one of the oldest and famous sweet producers in Karachi. They have a history back before the independence of the country. But due to lack of attention, the hygiene level is low, parking issues, card acceptance not available. But to be honest, the taste is somewhat they have kept the same for years. I would appreciate if they show some concerns on hygiene. I will be returning to the place soon. Enjoy!

They had the best jalaibee i have ever had in my entire life. What makes their jalaibee special is that they fry it in the pure desi ghee. No one can resist after seeing such succulent mouth watering sweet.
