One of the best Govt. hospitals in karachi. Very neat & clean hospital.Emergency department is there.Lab of Dow is very cheaper than any other lab in Khi. One of the best labs.OPD was very crowded. Didnt get a chance to get the checkup done so we left.

Visited Dow Lab at Main Campus very reasonable rates for diagnostic test and very quick service. I am impressed.

This hospital is situated at a convenient location, one can easily reach the place.Modern testing facilities, such as MRI, CT Scan, Ultrasound etc are available. Hygienic conditions are ok but improvement is needed. Improvement in system is also required. Doctors are not very patient friendly. Staff must be service oriented.

Now Dow in this area very nice as compare to Old Dow medical college near civil Hospital because of very busy place over there Dow University Hospital was established in the year 2009. It serves as a tertiary care University Hospital attached to Dow International Medical College for teaching and training of MBBS & Post-graduate students. The Dow hospital is a 5 story building, with large capacity of 1000 beds, fully equipped emergency room, spacious general wards, semi-private rooms, private rooms, an operation theater complex and labor rooms. It is also equipped with most modern facilities and units for treatment of surgical and medical problems.

Very bad experience...v bad administration..I asked for an appointment of dr javed ul Islam( neuro physician) operator told me that he sit b/w 830 to 1230 but when reach there by 9 o clock girl on Reception told us that we r late we should come by 6 o clock to get token to see dr..v bad attitude of staff n v unprofessional behaviour..

Its better to go to Jinnah or Civil Hospital.I took my nephew to Dow hospital yesterday. Four year old nephew had knee fracture. X-ray staff after taking x-ray informed that their printer is out of order and it will take 2 hours to get it repaired. After three hours, I went to collect x-ray as I had taken Orthopaedic doctors appointment and I had only half hour left in drs appointment time. Staff again told me that printer is still out of order.Attendants of patients admitted in emergency and walk in patients were requesting staff but behavior of staff was not good.Administration of hospital was sleeping. How come is this possible that a big hospital like Dow do not have spare x-ray printer and technician to repair it immediately.

My mother admitted in this hospital for surgery which was successful but later she died because she got the infection from the horrible ICU of this hospital where infections are very common plus the staff of ICU was untrained and very unprofessional. I lost my mother but pray that may Allah save every one from this hospital and specially from its ICU.

Very very good hospital especially for poor people. Drs are amazingly professional with good attitude but some drs have high ego. But overall its amazing. Its opd section is fantastic, this section only need improvement in patient que calling system.Its laboratory tests are highly recommended cuz they almost have all disease tests available with accurate results just equal or greater than Aga Khan...

Dow University hospital. Consisting of medical health Care center and learning institute. Centre is spread over vast area, place is well ventilated, well maintained, doctors are professional but somehow the helping staff doesnt cooperate with public very well sometimes. Other factors including cleanliness, parking, etc is good. Staff is being improved gradually.

What is the timing for meeting patients?

It a big university hospital and provides quite better health care than government hospital in Pakistan. I have been there many times to see relative and friend patients who were there for treatment. Health care service there is acceptable and there are good laboratories for medical test, there reports are also accepted at Aga Khan University hospital. Charges for health care and lab tests are also cheaper than AKU.

Excellent facilities of medical care for middle class

Ridiculous wait times, Very rude receptionists, over crowded. X-ray technician and Radiologists should describe the scanning procedure and what is expected beforehand. In MRI, for example. Not just stab the subject with a needle without even uttering a word. There should be a brief explanation to patient before he/she is treated.

Very bad experience I dont want to go there

Although Dow is a good hospital. But deptts abd and administration is very lazy. Like OPD opens at 8:30. Whereas Ultrasound deptt opens at 9:00 but still room is locked. Administration is dumb. Reception has no idea. Patients are waiting for it with fastening 12 hours.

No one is truly willing to provide health care facilities here. The doctors hardly show presence in the hospital. Once you get them, they refer you to another doctor in the same hospital irrelevant to the specialization you need for your case.

The worst experience I ever come across Dow hospital is a semi gov hospital, unprofessional paramedic staff rude and careless doctors , they gave my mother heart attach by delaying in providing oxygen because of that she had now multi organ failure after 4 days in ICU they did nothing brought my mother into very serious condition she was pricked so many times that her hand swallelled with water become like a balloon filled with water, they puncher so many blood vains in her both hand, both hands become blue, we immediately shifted her to Agha Khan Hospital, yesterday now they are trying to treat her, a complete doctors team is analysing, our whole family is in so much shock with Dow hospital treatment.she was admitted with general weakness and a mild joundice traces, and low hb in the blood, for that we arrange blood transfusion to recover her weakness and enhence her Immunity.

Google maps is showing a wrong address for this place. It shows the address of Dow medical college and civil hospital Karachi. This branch of Dow lies about 18 km away at Suparco Road. I suggested an edit but maps said it could not be verified. I will give a review of Dow Suparco later by editing this account. Dow is excellent but all is not good there
