D.J. Sindh Government Science College (named for early benefactor Dayaram Jethamal is an educational institute in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It is one of the oldest institute in Karachi. It was established in British Era in 1887. Still the college is very popular and famous in Karachi, college is known for excellence services of education. The building of college is also very beautiful. It’s reminds us great era of British in sub continent.

This college is older than Pakistan, as it was there before partition of India Pakistan, many of my aunts have studied in this college during 50s and 60s, my younger brother also is an alumni of D J Science College, named after a old and famous philanthropist, it is considered most prestigious of Higher Secondary college, along with Adamjee Scince College.

Dj College Karachi is a full-fledged institution with faculties of Arts, Sciences, Engineering and Law. Dj Sindh Government Science College began primarily as an Arts college with only 28 students and 5 members on its staff. For the next sixty years Dj. Sindh Government Science College catered to the intellectual and academic needs of the people of the Province, being as it was the only institution in the area. It was built in neoclassical style and considered to be the finest work of James Strachan.he DJ Science College had other buildings built as part of its compound. There is an elegant bunglow opposite the street, where the principal lives. With some luck, you could walk inside and see the glorious structure which is fit for a king.The building has been renovated very well. The close-by Mitharam hostel was used for accommodating the out-of-town students of DJ Science and NED campuses, but sadly now, it is off-limits to public after it had been handed over to the Rangers.
