The High Court of Sindh is the highest judicial institution of the province of Sindh Established in 1906, the Court situated at provincial capital Karachi. Apart from being the highest Court of Appeal for Sindh in civil and criminal matters, the Court was the District Court and the Court of Session in Karachi. On 21 August 1926, the Sindh Courts Act (Bom. VII of 1926) was passed into law-making provision for the establishment of a Chief Court for the Province of Sindh. On the coming into operation of Part III of the Government of India Act, 1935, on 1 April 1937, Sindh became a separate Province and the Judges of the Court of Judicial Commissioner of Sindh were appointed by Royal Warrant by the British Government. At the time of establishment of the High Court of West Pakistan the number of the Judges of the Karachi Bench was almost the same but subsequently it was increased to 15 and on separation of Sindh & Balochistan High Court. 12 Judges were allocated to the Sindh High Court and 3 Judges to Balochistan High Court. The present approved strength of Judges is 28. However, the number of Judges appointed is 24.

AM Arshad and his team were in uniform and were bought in to correct the wrongs in PIA.They were taking nothing from PIA, their salary was from PAF, they were living in PAF Messes even their transportation was in PAF transport aircraft and not on PIA planes. They had a singular aim of eradication of corruption and take decisions on merit. They recovered two grounded planes a 777 and a A320. They also recovered a lot of ground handling equipment worth millions of dollars and wanted to indigenously recover the IFE using local expertise. They carried out Audits of all previous years which is a prerequisite of all listed companies in the KSE.These and host of daily improvements in Catering, Services, Operations, improving Seat Factors and punctuality. If the Judiciary is against this ... then God help us.Earlier we have had a German CEO who took away a complete Airbus and fled the country while being on ECL.Another CEO from within PIA, Mr Ejaz Haroon has the singular Honour of having done the most corruption.Obviously the Unions were not happy and the Corrupt Mafia were against them. What pains us is that Judiciary has sided with the Corrupt or Judiciary is......What a Shame !!! on corrupt judicial systemMay they rest in hell

An old, beautiful, historical and very crowded building where people of Sindh look for justice. The real beauty and grandeur of such buildings is not in their location, beauty or age. It is the quality, swiftness and assuarance of what and how they deliver to the most needy. Sindh High Court is one of the provincial Chief Courts in the Federation of Pakistan. It has given Pakistan Supreme Court some of the best of the best judges ever like Saeen Bhagwan Das ( the only Hindu Judge to make to the post of Chief Justice of Pakistan in the history of our dear motherland, Pakistan) and Durab Patel etc. Proud to belong to the province which produced such great people

Its highly not understandable that in courts thousands of cases are pending and every year honorable judges go to annual summer vacation. How funny it is.They are not school children. They are Judges.I strongly suggest that these stupid summer vacation should immediately be abolished

Its great to see High Court in Sindh. I hope they have competent judges to deliver efficient justice to the people. As High court judges get 9 lak rps salary. They should just focus on delivering the justice on time.

Beautiful architecture. Qauid e Azam took his oath at here in 1947. The interior is marvelously designed. Quality wood work can be witness simply by walking in corridors. The building stand with even the fans being as old as the building. As it high court, it is a sensitive area, try not to take picture of everything you see. Moreover the lifts even belongs to the old times.

For an office to take pride; performance comes first and then buildings/infrastructure. Both are important prerequisites though. Elegant buildings this old should be treated as a heritage of Sindh and need proper preservation. #NeedsBetterPreservation #ElegantBuilding #TrafficPollution #HeritageKarachi #CarParkingIssues

The building is historical and huge yet the pendency of cases is at the same instance massive and delay in getting justice is an ongoing issue of public importanceOnce it was called Chief Court but now its known as SHC Sindh High Court or High Court of Sindh. For advocates... The old bar room is awesome spot to relax after stressful litigation and the new system of online alerts for both advocates and party is state of the art.Overall we hope for a better judicial system and hope for improvement in civil especially family cases as it is still gender biased and infringement of male rights but hope for improvement.

The Sindh High Court isnt a tourist site like other reviews suggest. As an institution it has failed. No management and or law enforcement. No parking. You can get mugged right outside the court building. Remember law in Pakistan only applies to the weak and powerless. Therefore this terrible rating.
