Mr. Salim is back with a bang. He now owns his own shop close to the Parsi Fire Temple

The shop at the old location was our window into to the world of Wildlife, Travel, Aircraft, Cars, Science Fiction and Comic books.We had a whole collection of National Geographic magazine at home dating back to 70s and ours was the 2nd generation who bought from this shop. My Mom was a teacher at a College in Saddar and we use to be here every week to buy comics n books back in 90s.The old shop had a strange appeal and I loved the distinct smell of the books it had.Last I remember meeting Saleem Uncle in 2011. Wish his shops make it to a 100.

If I were back in Pakistan, my Grand babies would be the fourth generation of fans of this magical, treasure trove of a place. Thank you to the Khalils for providing this great service to generations....Miss Uncle....a big part of my childhood...he felt like family.

Probably one of the best things of the city that any Karachi waala cant afford to miss. Excellent bookstore with exceptionally well educated seller.

This shop has closed down n now the shop owner (Salim uncle) only has a makeshift setup just opposite to where the shop used to be.
