As the name describes, it is an old age home for older citizens but i have visited it on voluntary basis and have been a volunteer there for a long time and it was a special time spent there. How much caring the staff is and a brilliant team of doctors including physiotherapists which take care of them as their own parents. Very much friendly admin staff.... They treat every single person there with more respect and love than their own ones. Friendly and life living activities are done to engage them in a good habit life. I feel blessed to be part of this amazing experience.

A very deep and thought-provoking experience. Celebrated my nephews birthday there.We saw very type of people,,, happy deperesed, motivated, miserable.... but one thing was common among themselves,,,, there were very supportive to each other !That female with piano,, she is blind but she is so good at playing piano..... ♡

People who have dedicated their lives for serving humanity with a sense of love , respect and dignity, can be seen over there. Islam is the religion which teaches us humanity in the form of respecting , helping , serving the needy ones just to make Allah Almighty happy. Therfore the level of respect and cheers demanded by old citizens can only be achieved by loving them caring for them. This is what being done at Darul Sukoon. We wish that young generation may learn a lesson from Administrative authorities. I advise that Unversity Students not only visit there just for completing their Thesis but also for helping old citizens in a real sense.

If you are looking for some volunteer work this is the best place. Its the only professional old home for retired folks and deserves our support. Spend a Sunday there and see for yourself. Just a few hours. Talk to the old folks and help in anyway possible.

A very well managed, spacious, airy place with modern facilities for the ill and helpless, hopeless and homeless old people. Run by local people who collect funds to provide SUKOON (peace of mind) to the people who have lost peace of mind due to being homeless and hopeless and aged and being dumped out of family by their family members. Activity room, Fitness room, n lift facilities are available. Ground floor is for social activities while first floor holds beds for the occupants. The place is doing a wonderful job for the helpless in the society.The name of the place is Darul Sukoon but there is no Sukoon for the occupants (although they try to show they are content there but their eyes are full of grief)as the real sukoon (peace of mind) lies in living with their families who leave them. So repect and love your elders and never leave them alone when they need you in their older age. Take care of them like they cared for us when we were younger and helpless!!!
