Bam-Bou -SMCHSWorst customer service!Waiters were standing so near that I could smell them.The soup was bland, and the main course took nearly 30 minutes to come.The music was loud, we asked 3 times to lower it down, then they took action.While we were eating, the waitress showed up and asked that she could remove the plates.Seriously?The food was bad and the service was poor. There are so many places around, please dont bother to go there.Over crowded decoration and seating arrangement.And there was an uncle in uniform who might be the manager. He should learn to respect the personal space and not to shout at their staff in front of the customer.And yes, they have heater instead of AC Place not worth to visit second time.Staff was trying really hard to work..Slow service..Bland food..Waste of money..Manager was standing on our head and staring us..Might be not my day..

Yayy pre bday celebration. Bam-bou is one of my fav place. I love dynamite prawns. Food was supreme as always. They had extend the place and now its big and beautiful. I liked it. Ambience and service is 9/10. Got 30% off on entire bill. Well i was super excited for my bday and surprisingly they decorated the sitting area with balloons not for me, still my kids were glad to see balloons decor and mama ka bday Alhumdulillah i had great time there.

Due to COVID-19 they arrange seating in the shamiyana on the road, so no comments on ambiounce but taste is ok, dynamite prown is highly recommend...

Tasty food. Good emibience. Great service. Wonderful place to sit and relax.Food portions were average.But you pay extra huge amount of money.Not great place for large family gatherings if you are looking for reasonable budget.Average cost per person with starters, 3 course meal, drink and desert is around 2500Rs.You can have a full buffet for 2 in this price at a 4 star Hotel.

Good seating. For 3person we ordered a family bowl of soup of hot and sour soup which was so filling and yummy that we enjoyed it to the fullest .. we knew we wont be able to finish it and needed something to eat so we ordered 1 vegetable fried rice with schezuan chicken.. that even was left over.. so we parcelled both

I would say its an over rated and over hyped restaurant. Parking is really a mess, whereas there is no proper reservation system. Manager was not giving any waiting time and the seating was uncomfortable. Food taste and presentation was average whereas serving was very small compare to the price. Overall it was average experience.

Cant go any worse than this on service levels, and above all from the server to the manager everyone had justified reasons for the service levels. Try takeaway or delivery, as the food is good, but dont dine-in/ or out these days, its like they are doing you a favor.

Ambience of this restaurant was pretty relaxed. Food tasted really good and customer service was up to the mark. Only thing is the price if you are a family of 5 then its fine but its going to get pricier if you plan on bringing more than that.

Quantity was good tho.Mint lemonade was literally 70-80 percent ice.Ginsoy is better than Bam-bou in my opinion.But, give it a shot to know it for yourself.

On the whole food was good but one compliant i want to lounge is that when we give oyr car for valet parking they are taking out petrol from cars this is the 2nd time it has happened yester day also my car petrol was full and when coming back from restaurant my needle showing at the end. I celebrated my birthday here few days back with my family. Even though it was a weekday, we had to wait for more than 40 minutes after arriving around 9.45pm in the night. Due to precautionary measures, there is no seating inside the restaurants therefore all of us had to wait outside for our turn.We tried out dynamite prawns, sizzling beef fajita with garlic butter rice plus Hong Kong spicy chicken with egg fried rice. Compared to other Chinese joints in Karachi, I personally found the serving size to be bigger i.e. value for money. Taste wise, every item was really good and the service was prompt.They have a good discount scheme for Faysal Banks credit card holders as well. Do try Bam-bou, you wont regret it.

Golden rule here is do not order anything reccamended by the serving staff.... Red snapper is a definite big NO unless you like the taste of burnt ketchup.All dishes in red sauce tastes the same.Hot and spicy beef,roasted chicken tasted the same.Avoid Red!

Amazing food! Good customer service! We ordered beef chili which was superb. Rice are served in really good quantity so we shared one and still had some left. Drinks were nice. We requested for crackers twice and they served it without questions or judgments so we compensated that in the tip. Extremely happy customer!

Well designed interior for a small place.Food is average, it was my second visit after a very long time, but food was still the same. Heard a lot about their food that it’s better than ginsoy Chinese but honestly it didn’t click my taste buds this second visit also.Ordered 2 main dishes, prawn chilli dry and a beef dish, beef was better than prawns, even though I’m a seafood person.They need to focus on their servers also, as service is slower than most of the restaurants, they take good 10-12 minutes to serve you the cheque even after you have passed the bank card to them.

Table was pre booked so was laid beautifully.Well for food we ordered corn soup and hot and sour, 4 chicken strips and two dynamite chicken for appetizer.In main course ordered 3 fried rice, 2 kunan beef, kindo chicken, szechuan chicken, roasted chicken with red sauce. I recently went to Bam-Bou SMCHS with friends and we loved the place. There was a little mishap in the noodles. We ordered sizzling noodles and the noodles in them were stale the gravy was good but the noodles were boiled earlier so they tasted bad but they handled it really well. The staff apologised and replaced our meal immediately. This place has great ambience and a friendly staff. We love their sangria cooler and dynamite prawns

Very few Chinese restaurants in Pakistan are authentic with a taste that’s indulging from start till the end. My experience at Bam-Bou in Karachi was beyond the expected as the food was super awesome and highly professional service.Dynamite Prawns and soups literally stirs up the appetite and served as an amazing starter items. Beef & Chicken Chow Mein, Chicken and vegetable fried rice, chicken shashlik with rice, Yum Yum chilli chicken, Szechuan chicken, chicken chili with lime and smoothies all were too good.Overall ambiance is neat and peaceful. I would definitely give Bam-Bou a thumbs-up as long as they keep their quality unique as it is now.

I had cough, so i went there to have soups only. First i ate the regular Chicken Corn Soup. It was just average. However when i asked for their speciality, EIGHT WORDS SOUP, i was just astonished to find that the seafood chowder like soup was better than the kain course. Vegetables were fresh. And amazingly they used large sized prawns in soup which prevented the unwanted odour of marine foods. Cucumber Cooler drink was rather not a good match, though i still liked that

We were 3 people and tried dynamite prawns, Red Snapper Fish [ہیرا مچھلی] (Whole fried fish with sauce) and a serving of Vegetable fried rice.* Dynamite Prawns: Prawns size was ok, quantity was good and taste was awesome* Red Snapper Fish (Whole Fried): Great taste, almost similar to the Ginsoy variant. Fish was fresh, serving was good too.* Vegetable Fried Rice: Unlike Ginsoy they dont have an option of single serving, (although they have single serving for soups). Taste was goodThe staff was courteous too.

Good food and ambiance. Long waiting time is the only issue here...However the only solution is to increase the seating capacity... Other than the waiting this time around the crackers were dripping with oil.. I think they were not being strained to get them quickly to the table again because of seating limitations resulting in pressure on the staff to quickly get the tables rolling... But left a bad impression. The food over all is great and a good experience.

The food quality is very very bad. I ordered vegetable rice with other stuff which amounted to a total bill of more than Rs.4500. It was so terrible that I could not eat more than single spoon. Rice was sticky and smelled as if the food had got rotten. If you are charging more than Rs.800 for a single dish then please maintain the quality and standard of your food. Good ambiance and food. Service was prompt and courteous. Ordered bambou special soup which was recommended by the waiter and was awesome. Rice was well cooked and yummy. Also ordered roasted chicken which was perfect. They have valet parking which is a convenience as parking is an issue in that area. Overall a good experience.
