I recently visited on this place. NJHP stands for neelum jehlam hydropower project / plant. This project was completed and running nowadays. The dam was built on neelum jehlam river the amazing things about this project is that this project is local very near to LOC Line of Control and the enemy of freedom indian army trying many times to destroy this project by firing boombs there. When I talk to Local people they said many times india through bombs there and 2 to 3 bombs even blast here but luckily Allah protect the dam. I saw a tunnels there also.

An Engineering Marvel! Also a very important hydropower project as Pakistan is moving towards the greener and cheaper energy.

This is a run of the river hydropower project built on Neelum River near Nausadda, Azad Jammu & Kashmir. The project is indeed an engineering marvel. The water of Neelum River is dammed at Nausadda and through a 28.5 km long tunnel that passes below the high mountain ranges and 380 meter below the Jhelum River, the water of Neelum River is taken to the power house at Chattar which is located around 1378 feet lower than the reservoir level at Nausadda. Through four turbines, 969 MW of electricity is produced. Indeed an amazing hydroengineering project.
