PRESIDENT OF PAKISTAN CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF GENERAL ZIA UL HAQ WAS TRAVELLING FROM THIS PLACE ONCE HE WAS GOING FROM HERE THEN IT WAS TIME OF PRAYER (NAMAZ) AND NO MOSQUE WAS NEAR , HE PERFORMED HIS NAMAZ HERE AFTER THAT HE BUILD THIS MASJID WHICH WAS CALLED LATER ZIA MASJID

Named after famous president Zia-ul-Haq. His convoy stopped here for prayers and later this masjid was built there

Zia Masjid is located at very busy road Islamabad Highway, the most busy and having most trafficking on this road between Rawalpindi and Islamabad.Mostly people used to perform prayer here in Zia Masjid because there is big parking area for vehicles along road side.Many people are performing their prayer, while coming back from offices or Islamabad due to its Ideal location along road.Otherwise many people might miss their prayers while driving on the Islamabad Highway towards their destinations.

This is a famous masjid on Islamabad expressway. The outlook of mosque is nice. Nearby is public vehicles stop. This is a very busy stop. Because of this it has high numbers of praying peoples at day time. As the mosque is on highway, one should be careful of his belonging while praying and making wudhu.

Zia Masjid is situated along the main islamabad expressway,,, well design in Architecture, enough area for prayers,, it is good masjid having easy access for wheelchair people, 5 time prayer on time is perform in routine time every day ,, enough space is available for wozo,

Once ! Gen Zia was crossing the Maghrib Prayers call started. He stopped there and offered Namaz and later than he made masjid there. Named as Zia Masjid
