MCB Bank Limited, is one of the oldest and leading banks in Pakistan. It was incorporated on July 9 in 1947. MCB Bank was nationalized alongwith other private banks in 1974 as part of Government of Pakistans economic reform movement and was later privatized in 1991. The Bank has journeyed a remarkable tenure of more than half a century of competitively edged and well positioned heights of success by deploying quality banking, heads on technological developments, professionally leading management and prudent and ethical work methodologies.MCB Bank in one of the largest foreign banks in Sri Lanka; the first bank in Pakistan to launch Global Depository Receipts (GDR) in 2006 and has strategic foreign partnership with Maybank of Malaysia which holds 20% shares in MCB Bank through its wholly owned subsidiary Mayban International Trust (Labuan) Berhad since 2008.The Bank is versed as one of the oldest and most responsible Banks in Pakistan and has played pivotal role in representing the country on global platforms while being one of the few institutions that are recognized and traded in the international market.MCB Bank is actively involved in various CSR activities as well and constantly strives to contribute towards the country’s betterment. Well I like MCB and their products especially their MCB Lite card however if you happen to face a problem where you lite card or for that matter any of your card gets absorbed by the ATM machine then having it replaced is a hassle if your account is with this specific branch. I had a problem with my Lite card as it got sucked into a machine and didnt come out. Upong enquiring from my branch they had no clue how the lite card operated and that made things even more awkward as they are the bank itself and the machine that absorbed the card was also MCBs and hence this wasnt really fun experience at all. Bank is good but they really need to train their staff effectively and I doubt any of the bank staff is reading this to convey to their seniors.

Workers have no idea about bank regulations or schedule of charges. I go five different answers to the same question asked to five different bankers at MCB. I did not open an account there because they are confused, and they charge exorbitantly for making any transaction. One wants a strong bank to keep money safe and help in smooth transactions; not a local thug who mugs at the first chance just because its in schedule of charges. SoC is man-made. A bad policy can and must be changed by careful thought.
