Mixed feelings. The chicken and prawn Phoenix nest (signature dish) had uncooked chicken! The remaining food tasted very good with plentiful serving. But the restaurant took almost 1 whole hour to serve dishes, which was a long wait. The lighting was very good but the tables were so close to each other that there wasnt much privacy. But credit should be given where its due, all staff was well equipped with gloves and masks (good to see this in corona times)
Food was alright. The quality of food has deteriorated a lot since I visited the place last year. Their value for money has also been affected.
Authentic taste, fresh ingredients and big portion sizes. I love Chinese cuisine and must say that this new Bahria Town branch of Mei Kong is now my favourite Chinese restaurant. To MeiKong management: Just improve your delivery service, everything else is perfect.
Amazing place near by my home. Sophisticated atmosphere with mouthwatering soups & other foods.
Awesome place for family.Quality of food is amazing.Quantity of food is above average.Prices are high according to the quantityBut best Chinese food available here among all Chinese restaurants in Pakistan
I love meikong one off tha best chinese restaurant in pakistan
As being one of the most loyal customers of Mei Kong saddar, this branch has disappointed us. This was our first visit here and the taste was pathetic. We ordered chicken with garlic sause and it was unbearably bitter. Take a notice.
Food was great and the place is quite cosy and comfortable. Lacks good food presentation but Ill settle for it as the price certainly makes up for it!!
Disappointing. I was not expecting this quality of food from Mei Kong as it used to be my favourite. I ordered Hot & Sour soup, Egg Fried Rice, Kung pao chicken, Finger Fish (Fries included) & Chicken Chopsuey. Only soup & Fish was Ok, but just Ok not much tasty. Rest of food was tasteless. Small Ambiance. Service was fine. But the real thing, which is obviously FOOD is not up to the mark & I think thats the main thing.Food Quantity is less than when it was in PWD. I would not suggest it to anyone but even then if you want to have Mei Kong food, then go to their Rawalpindi Saddar branch. Otherwise I enjoy much more in another Chinese restaurant but they are strictly follow SOPs now a days & close all Dine-ins at 9:30pm. Thats why I went to Mei Kong Bahria but had a bad experience.
Their Soup is Awesome in Taste.Specially Hot N Sour Loved the newly one in Bahria Phase 4
Ambiance is good bt serving size is very less as compared to last year ..its totally half of the size bt prices are increased...nt fair at all
Food was good, ambions are just fine not too good the way meikong has a standard of maintaining it
Beautiful Ambience, Staff Courtesy is excellent though thr sitting arrangment is not so spacious but ok for small gathering Over all a 4.5 star experience
Excellent food excellent staff excellent hot and sour soup
Part 1: Take-awayI was on my way home and decided to get the family some Chinese Take-away because I didnt want to deal with the hassle of the missus getting the kids ready and then going out again. Plus the girls have been wanting to learn how to use chopsticks so I thought it would be a good idea to introduce them to the fine art of chopstick use at home where they wouldnt make a mess that the wait staff would have to clean up. So I stopped here and parked right in front of the establishment. The gentleman at the door, a young man by the name of M. Nawaz, very politely came up to my car and helped me out with my order. I could tell he wasnt as well versed in English or the actual details of what the menu entailed as he should have been, but in terms of the knowledge base expected in PK he did an excellent job! My 5 star review for this establishment is heavily predicated on Mr. Nawazs customer service. I can be a difficult customer when I am tired and he never once expressed irritation or annoyance during my order so management should be aware of this young man. Having said that the overall food experience later at my house was very good. The girls got to make a mess with the worms (meikong special chow mein). The Chinese chop suey was frustrating for them because they kept getting too little food, except for the keeray (prawns). My wife (grudgingly, because she makes excellent Chinese herself) and I loved the food and portion size was excellent. Our family of 5 have at least enough leftovers for 2 more meals at ~2000 Rs so I would say it was pretty economical as well considering we order New Yorkers Pizza @1800 with maybe a slice leftover for the next day. I will write a part 2 when I have a sit down with grownups in the dine-in area and we will order a bigger variety of dishes.PS. Dont tell my kids - Mr. Nawaz gave me a scoop of complimentary pistachio ice cream while I was waiting in my car
Very nice food and great taste. The only problem is that they have changed the menu and now their is no option for single person serving or even two persons serving...
Dine area too small as compared to other branches..food quality always best
One of the best Chinese food with a mix of Pakistani food taste as per requirement.
It was absolutely amazing .The food was great and the staff was nice and copreative. Will definitely visit again!
Best but outside dining is quite difficult
Extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. It was good when it was in pwd.
