Kim Mun lacks in authenticity, but one thing is for sure.. Their taste is consistent and has been over the years, so you always know what to expect. Their rates are very reasonable and they have quite an extensive menu. Its definitely not a proper Chinese restaurant, but for what its worth, it is decent restaurant.
Its one of the oldest Chinese restaurants in Islamabad and previously used to be infront of Saeed Book Bank. The ambiance and decor of the new location (which is now quite old too) is quite good. Food is quite good but they, all many other Chinese restaurants, have also come close to the local taste over the years. Nevertheless, they are still better than many and we still enjoy eating there.Rates are reasonable. There is enough parking space available.
Dining was outside due to the current Covid-19 situation. Electric heaters were provided one per table. The soup was excellent but the rest of food was ok. The gravy wasnt tasty at all. The rice and chowmein were good. But overall the quality of food wasnt great. They certainly need to improve quality of food.
A nice Asian restaurant more focused on Chinese cuisine, a lot of soup options and other pastas noodles munchurian hot drinks. Service was good and location is also good. The problem was that this is very close to the road which cause alot of disturbance and noise as well and can ruin your romantic dinner as well
Reasonably good Chinese food which is very well priced. I took the takeaway so cannot comment on the service or decor of the restaurant in F7. Takeaway service was quick and well packed. I particularly enjoyed the generous portion of soup. The egg noodles, thigh, seemed a touch underdone - which was a shame, otherwise would have received 4*
I liked the fine taste of Kim Mun specially Chicken Corn Soup and Egg fried Rice which were cooked perfectly fine. We enjoyed there and hope to visit again soon.
The food was good.. But the staff needs to more trained and friendly
Tried hot n sour soup and chowmin both are below average taste. Soup full of starch or corn flour. No good at all.
Excellent food. One of the most authentic Chinese restaurants Ive ever been to
I like Kim Mun. However, yesterday I called the restaurant at 8 pm and asked for reserving a table at 10 pm for dinner. The person on the phone said, no need, you will find a table. Even though i insisted on making a reservation he said, samjhein hogayee. When we reached there at 0955, there were people waiting outside. The person on the reception wouldnt even talk to us as he kept ignoring us and others who were waiting. When I confronted him about my phone call, he simply said, dekhlein. I left the restaurant and it ruined our dinner plans. I fail to understand his reluctance for making a reservation and then his attitude. Very disappointing.
Food and environment is good but they need to work on the attitude of waiters
Good tasty food for Pakistani Chinese taste. Chowmein noodles were perfect. Sliced vegetables chicken soup and hot n sour soup were good. Curries were decent.
Wow Very Yummmy. Keep It up
Food quality and quantity was compromised. Service was dull. I will not recommend anyone to visit Kim Mun Restaurant.
Its very nice, yesterday had a food there with family, delicious taste, nice staff, portable heater in winter outside sitting,
Excellent hot and sour soup..nice outdoor place too
Waiters are really bad. Management has no concern to take reviews from.visitors to get their services improved. The black cat in their seating area is nuisance. It keeps disturbing all the time.
Good food ons terras outside.
Taste is average. Rates are economical.
Never order the chicken Manchurian It was not like something you expect to have at a Chinese restaurant.Whenever you order dumpling always ask the preparation time coz they will delay your order and say it is because of the dumplings which is cute funny.
Avoid their kim mun special soup. Its more of a curry less of a soup
Among the best (and oldest) Chinese restaurants in the city, although it fails to compete with Chinatown.
Food was tasty. I tried beed menu and it was great. Staff is very cooperative.
Poor food quality...there was nothing like chinese. And moreover customer service was zer0
Over all economical with good taste and quantity
Ambiance 8/10Service 9/10Quality Of Food 6/10
Amazing foodAll dishes are balanced in spicesWell cookedServices are also appreciable
Felt like I was in China. Nice food and environment
Taste was good, but prices are much higher as compared to other options... Overall it was okay
It used to be my favorite place in Chinese restaurantsBut this I was disappointed due to service quality and taste was not what I liked at most
Nice place for Chinese food lovers.
Average food and very slow service despite the fact that restaurant wasnt full or busy. Serving size was good though.
Very nice and delicious soup
Customary courteous service, sumptuous menu, cosy ambiance.
Their soups are really good.
Best place for Chinees food ...
Quality, quantity and candid eating in lawn outside.
Good for economical and tasty Chinese cuisine in the twin cities
Ethnic Chinese restaurant serving delicious food
Very poor food. The food didn’t have any taste in it.
Too much delicious food,,,Do try chicken Cashew nuts 51A
Whenever we are in Islamabad its a must visit. Dont have such taste anywhere else specially in Pakistan. Prices are quite reasonable. Their chilli dry is a must try
As usual Excellent finger licking sumptous taste.
Kim Mun is a decent Chinese food place. Their soups are really good and their food is good as well. Also very affordable. One drawback is they lack consistency, great one day, bad the other
Need to improve soup quality
Good place to dine in with your friends and family. The food is very tasty.Especially their soups. All of the soups are good but one that stands out is the kim mun special soup. All of their food is yummy and tasty. The staff sometimes gets lazy in bringing the food but rest is fine.Good ambient environment and cooperative management.
Always loved this place ️.
Same taste and quality stuff from ages
Very coldly visit with nice whether
Post Covid food quality deteriorated
Kim Mun used to be our go to place. But it has the quality has deteriorated. Really hope they get their taste back.
Worst food I ever had... Never recommended
The food was average. But the thing which I disliked the most was discourteous senior staff talking on phone with such loud voice. The environment inside was noisy and not at all conducive. The upper floor was not open as they have few customers. But ground floor was congested. So Kim Mun at F-7 needs to work alot
The service was not that up to the mark. I switched the table and the waiter did not set up the glasses and cutlery, I picked it up myself from the table I just left. Moreover, other Chinese restaurants give fish crackers and/or some beverage on complimentary basis. I paid around PKR 400 for the crackers. Probably for chinese I will be going to other competitors.Food tasted good enough. Liked the Crispy Beef quite a bit.
Good ambiance and taste was good.
Pathatic food
Situated at heart of the City, the most Posh Area Pan Pakistan, The most pathetic food quality, poor quantity. Having food there is just wastage of money.
Kim Mun is one of the first Chinese restaurants of Islamabad. It has outgrown from small family joint. Keeps the original Pak-Chinese taste of food. Atmosphere is nice. Service is good. Food is tasty. Price is reasonable.
Good food. Hot n Sour soup is good. Crispy prawns were also very good. Reasonably good ambiance.
Authentic Chinese Restaurant.Excellent Ambiance.
A good place to visit if u want to have some chines food
Always found it worth
It is literally my go to place! The food is ah-mazing! Specially love their chicken chilli dry with chicken chowmein, and fish/chicken sweet and sour.Highly recommended.
Good taste reasonable rate.
Pathetic Customer Service, Its Overpriced and Desi Chinese Chef
Great food and environment
Outstanding Chinese restaurant
Great variety of soups, I would say they are always freshly made. Nice cosy place to have a great time with friends and family. I love their shrimp dishes. A must visit place for soup lovers! Their rates are good too, except a 17% tax on the bill. Apart from soups they have a variety of rice dishes served with a number of chicken and other dishes from a long menu.
Fairly ok
This place used to be great but now its quality has decreased. Plus the service is pathetic. And you need to order fish crackers separately :(
Not good, they have lost their taste
Everything was great especially hot n sour soup and beef with green chillies.
My go-to place for ChineseCheap rates, fast service andorder and lastly always yummy
Good quantity and taste
Un hygienic
Lovely place to eat Chinese food.
Nice food
Food is too oily
Offers high quality Pakistani Chinese food. Prices are not very economical though.
I was a guest of someone who is a food aficionado with a budget in mind and selected this place. This restaurant has a very good Chinese cuisine. The food was cooked to perfection and way above same dishes in other Chinese restaurants. Reasonably priced and v good service. I would go again next I visit Islamabad.
Very delicious food and good quality
Meet tough. Difficult to eat. Chow me in good.Chicken sizzles ok
Nit the best of Chinese Food. Taste was not that good and serving also less
