Sufficient parking, nice walking track alongside club road and Rawal lake. However, not a maintained place. No restroom, few kids play areas but those also not maintained. However, despite of this, it has good seating and lawns.

Ankara Park, once a most-visited but quiet place by tourists, sportsmen, couples, kids and families, now is in a shambles as the Capital Development Authority (CDA) have turned a blind eye towards the upkeep of the park.Islamabad has around 180 parks along with playgrounds for the recreational activities. However, the CDA with around 1,200 technical and non-technical staff dedicated to the upkeep of these parks, has miserably failed to look after the parks well.

If you jog/walk then this place is best for you.

Rawal Dam Park, located on the area between Murree Road and Rawal Dam bund, starts from Rawal Chowk and goes upward to the joining point of road and bund near Islamabaď Club was renamed as Ankara Park due to declaration of Islamabad and Ankara as sister cities and Mayor of Turkish Capital Ankara inaugurated Rawal Dam Park as Ankara Park Islamabad on 20th March, 2005.Its a newly created park as previously it was in the shape of Jungle. Its a spacious park having big and tall trees and beautiful landscapes. Jogging and walking tracks have been built and benches to sit and enjoy fresh air have also been provided. To keep it clean dust bins have also been installed for using and other measures taken in this behalf. I am surprosed that no clean public restrooms erected for the facility of visitors and who use to come over there daily for morning or evening walk. On the opposite side there are number of hotels & Motels for example, Dreamland Motel the oldest one, lake view Motel, Regency Hotel Ramada Hotel some Banquet halls and also Islamabad Club and the persons stay in the these hotels have matchless oppotunity for morning walk to visit lake and inhale a lot of pure neat n clean fresh air full of Oxygen to get fresh their respiratory system and to provide pure oxygen in the blood. Any visitor of park can go up on dam bund and walk upto Spells way of dam and may has a beautiful eye catching view of lake early in the morning little prior to sun rise and right at the time when sun is rising. I like this park much and request to CDA to provide neat n clean public restrooms in the park, water cooler for drinking water and good conditioned sitting benchs and other seats in the parks. Turkish Embassy should also take interest for the maintenance of this park in line of Embassy of Argentina with regard to Argentina Park in Islamabad.

The park needs little bit of care too. you cant have view of rawal dam from here,but a lush green site.

A nice place to visit on a weekend with your family and friends. Aside from the famous Rawal Lake the park offers a paddle boat ride, an artificial rock climbing facility probably one of the very few in Pakistan lush green landscape, lots of trees, its a good idea to take along something to eat since every body there is out to rip you off some time things can cost up to three times the normal price. There are sporty rides for the kids like Dogim cars, kids formula one Indie cars, some wild life can be seen but in their cages I dont like to capture birds in little cages its cruel dont you think so.....

This is a small park near Rawal Dam Islamabad. I stayed here for a cup of tea with friends and I found this place very calm and fresh. We took few photos here also and enjoyed a lot. Awesome greenery and cleaning.Love this place.I will recommend to stay here for few minutes and feel the freshness if you will visit Rawal Dam.

It is a nice place with serenity situated off a busy track. However fountains are not working and left unaddressed by CDA. Children play gears like swings, rides, stretchers etc are not in good shape.+tives: Green ground, trees, tracks, fountain area, children play gears-tives: No maintenance of fountains, no food huts, no outdoor gym, no floral beds, no wheelchair entry gate.
