Nice place to eat at a hip hop area of Islamabad. Food is good and service is good. Wont disappoint you.

It was alright, nothing too special. I ordered a medium-well porterhouse, but what I got was a very well done steak.

The perfect medium rare steaks in Islamabad.Porterhouse has better steaks than most Ive had around the world. But beware: during the day, they pan sear their steaks. Always make sure you visit at night, when that grill is fired up.I also love that they dont overcomplicate the steaks like some other places here. You taste the real meat and its texture instead of a hundred overcooked sauces, which unfortunately is how most of Islamabad serves its steaks.

A perfect place for beef-eaters, a bit on high price however seems ok for the quality and quantity they provide. Only outdoor seating area, staff is friendly and courteous, food taste and quality is without any question. The level of spices and sauces is just too perfect, not too bland and not overloaded. I visit this place atleast twice a month whenever I have craving for beef steak ;) and it has never disappointed me in all these years. A must recommend for those who want real beef steak in Islamabad in its own taste, menu is attached to get an idea of the prices. On a lighter note, dont go there with a larger group of acquaintances, only real closed ones deserve a lunch/dinner here.

Review for porterhouse , which is located in kohsar market, im sorry but the whole experience was a huge disappointment, we ordered quesidella and two porterhouse special steaks along with finger chicken with chips, the fat ratio in steaks was too high and the drinks were plain sour tasted like syrup, total damage done was 5945 which was a waste of money im sorry, ambiance 9/10, service 9/10 food 2/10, will i visit again, a deffinate no!

I think they have one of the best sizzling steaks in Islamabad. Although if I go again I would ask for a bit of extra sauce as a lot of it evaporates during the sizzling. The mashed potatoes were really good. I just feel they should also have the option for indoor seating. It started raining during our meal and that was a bit of a hassle. All in all a good place to have great steaks.

This is THE place to go to in Islamabad for an authentic steak experience. Unlike other places,Porterhouse doesn’t drown their steaks in different sauce, so you can actually eat the steak. There’s a perception that the place is expensive, and it is, but their portion size is significantly larger than other places. Pictured is a tenderloin, medium cooked. It was delicious.

Excellent food. Courteous staff.Three stars because they have now screwed up the temperature of my steak 2/3 times.When and if they get the temperature right, it’s amazing food. But then, they don’t get the temperature right.It’s outdoors, though. So plan your clothes accordingly in winters.

This was the only eating joint in the posh Kohsar market which had empty tables, so we decided to eat lunch here. They only have outdoor seating, so stray cats and flies can be bit of a problem. Also to be noted is the fact that this joint has no washroom. So come with an empty bladder. Food is just ok. Service is so so.

Porterhouse has the authentic beef steaks. The seating area is outside so you might want to avoid going in summers at day time. Cost per person is around 1500 PKR. The nachos are also good.

Ordered Porterhouse steak. Was totally not worth it. It was tasteless. Also the menu pricing is devious, when you go there please read the menu carefully to avoid confusion later.

My husband and I are picky when it comes to eating out due to our sensitive stomachs, especially because the process of keeping chicken/meat fresh and safe in restaurants is not up to mark here during warm seasons. We have rarely been satisfied with the food quality while dining out. Porter House is one of the very few restaurants to serve fresh meat which is also very flavorful with a satisfying serving quantity. They serve the best steak in the capital and I do hope they keep the quality up. It hasnt disappointed so far, mainly because they have their own meat shop and maintain the standard. The only downside is that they have an outdoor seating arrangement which can be problematic in summer but is ideal in winter. They do however have temperature controlling devices placed next to each table some times.

Porterhouse is a part of Qureshi Frozen Foods. It is basically a steakhouse but unlike most other steak houses, Porterhouse offers steaks according to beef cut (tenderloin, sirloin, ribeye, T-bone steak etc). The quality of meat that they use in their steaks is top of the line. You have the option to select your steak from the meat shop right there and have it cooked. No other restaurant in Islamabad offers this.Their cooking standard varies from very good to average on different occasions. The day they cook it well, you will be eating the best steak in the town.Price is on the higher side. If you are having steaks, it will cost you 1300 to 1700 per person (including drinks).Ambiance and seating arrangement is just ordinary. They only have outdoor sitting and if starts raining than you will have to pick your plate and run for shade. There is no other option.Service is ok and serving time is good.

Nice food. Gen good experience. But all steaks in black pepper marinade. Too thick a cut. Grilled on flame so dry. Need skillet with a maintained heat and cooked with heavy weights for different types of meat readiness. Grill needs to be cleaned my steak had fish smell. In cold weather customers need warmth. Every seat should have blanket or fleece.

One of the worst restaurants Ive been to. For starters, there was a strand of facial hair in my mashed potatoes. Upon showing the staff the hair, they simply took my plate and replaced the mashed potatoes without even a simple apology. The steaks themselves were not even close to being decent..they had a burnt outer surface that tasted like burnt oil or charcoal, non-rendered, chewy and almost cold fat, a very bad odour and the meat itself was very tough. Especially for the price point, this was very poor. The parsley potatoes were a let down as well, mushy and weird tasting and the cream based sauces were all curdled and almost split.

I with two other folks visited porter house for steak after seeing too much hype. Dry and worst ever steaks we ever tried. All of three flavours were equally bad. Without sizzler they got cold in a while which made further discomfort (they serve steak without sizzler). Got heated again by asking them which made them more dry and hard. Would not recommend to anyone. Total damage for three stakes and drinks 5348.

The food was excellent, especially the steak, it was fresh, juicy and delicious. However, the seating could be improved, along with the table which was pretty shaky.

Disappointing steaks. The pieces weren’t cooked to the requested temperature properly, cooked unevenly and didn’t taste well either. The only thing decent was the meat quantity, hence the additional star.

A good place to eat at if you are a meat lover. They serve you the cut you want, plus the sauces are great. Only downside is they only got outdoor seating. They have these fire pans to keep you warm which is good

Nice stakehouse recommended for those who love to have beefy meat either well-done or medium well-done and chew on juicy couture. Situated in a serene, calm place with other varieties of food nearby and fun place to be fir weekend, its worth at least one try. But fir health conscious and calories caring people I would suggest just avoid it till you want to gain weight again. Cheers

This place knows how to cook a steak. A medium rare is actually medium rare.Sea food is sub par and better is available around the city.Why they dont provide napkins, is beyond me though. And the tables are not clean when you arrive, later they will be cleaned disturbing you.

Porterhouse is famously known for meat dishes. Chinese and Italian food is also famous. All raw meat varieties and sea food is available at this shop. Furthermore the serene and calm surroundings of Kohsar market adds lot of other amenities.

The steak was okay. The meat seemed as if it was boiled with no taste and Im talking about their recommended rib eye steak. And it wasnt served hot. It was warm at best. They are overrated and charging ridiculous prices.

Worst experience ever!!! The steak was extremely dry and my friends was raw. The steaks were over priced and totally not worth it. 699 rs were cooking charges besides that 1500 or so was charged dor steak and as said results dissapointing. The hype for there steaks was very much however i qss extremely dissapointed at the taste and hard steak. The ambience and seating was bad and limited and still the waiters were slow in serving and listening to orders. I would not recommend to go here. Total waste of money.

Meat lovers dream. They serve steaks made to perfection. You can choose your preferred cut. There is no beating around the bush, the dish you are served is all about the meat, there are no sauces or variations. Just a classic steak and fries dish. Prices are on the high side.

Order a beef burger meal as a safe bet. These guys offer the real deal. The meat has its taste, and not just made up flavor with lots of sauces. You will have to develop the taste as meat on its own is an acquired taste. Also, you will have to experiment with cuts and cooking time to get what you like.

Probably, the best food in Kohsaar Market with very reasonable rates. Their Phylly Steak Burger and Fish &Chips and Steaks are amazing. Waiters are courteous and service is prompt.

I get the rôtisserie chicken from them once a week and it is to die for. It is also good value for money at Rs 580 for an entire chicken

Ordered Porterhouse steak and it tasted like something you get at Shinwari Style restaurants.I sent my card for the bill; the waiter came back saying the card didnt go through for which I played cash. However I got an SMS from my bank that charges are made. I inquired from the manager but he denied charging my card & asked me to visit my bank.Better pay in cash at this restaurant (if you end up there) otherwise they will charge your card & take cash from you as well. One of the best steaks Ive had in the world. And Ive had steaks around the globe.

Good thing about their steak is that they do not shower it with steak sauces which allows you to actually taste the beef. I had only heard of the term the steak melts in your mouth but after tasting their steak, I got to experience it. Half of my steak was perfectly cooked while the other half was terribly overcooked and the chef was very rude and stubborn about it which was a MAJOR disappointment.

Amazing steaks, I got the fillet mignon, which looks a bit pinkish in color (even at well done, I got medium well), but is amazing.

I visited the place last week with my family for a lunch but this time it was a total disappointment .To me it seems they were serving flies instead of steaks and burgers. My kids preferred to play with the fountain in front and packed the food to eat at home. The management should do something for the flies or stop serving the Lunch outside if they really do care about the customer.

Sitting place is outdoor. Their stakes are like 7/10. One steal cost around 1600 so it’s expensive.

I had heard a lot about porterhouse having really awesome steaks so I tried it out.They only have outdoor seating, and for heating they use small containers with coal in them which arent very effective, they also have installed Japanese gas blower heaters, but they arent much useful in open environments. The other downside of the dimly lit outdoor seating, is that cats keep coming around.Coming to the food quality, I ordered Ribeye steak, which is perhaps the most premium cut. The good thing about porterhouse is that they let you chose the cut from where you want the steak.I had ordered for a medium well steak but got a medium rare one, overall it was good. The veggies and potatos were fine while the sauces were exceptional. The one major downside is that they serve the steak in ceramic plates which get cold pretty quick.Overall it was a nice meal, prices are also fine, but it wasnt as good as hyped.

Quantity is enough to fill your appetite. And coming this from a gujranwala kashmiri does certifies about their portionThe minus was the price of their sides serving, as it is expensive to serve just two sides at cost of 700. Also need to work on their bar/drinks. I had iced tea, but it was just ice tea. No signature touch of Porter house.Overall I just loved there, I can still feel the taste of the steak at my buds!It was yum!!!
