Hyderabad is a city located in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It is the second-largest city in Sindh and 8th largest in Pakistan. Founded in 1768 by Mian Ghulam Shah Kalhoro of the Kalhora Dynasty, Hyderabad served as a provincial capital until the British transferred the capital to Karachi in 1843.Area: 255 km²Metropolitan area: 1,740 km²Weather: 33°C, Wind SW at 26 km/h, 50% HumidityPopulation: 1.733 million (2017) United NationsLocal time: Tuesday 9:39 pmDistrict: Hyderabad DistrictThe River Indus was changing course around 1757, resulting in periodic floods of the then capital of the Kalhora dynasty, Khudabad. Mian Ghulam Shah Kalhoro decided to shift the capital away from Khudabad, and founded Hyderabad in 1768 over a limestone ridge on the eastern bank of the Indus River known as Ganjo Takkar, or Bald Hill. The small hill is traditionally believed to have been the location of the ancient settlement of Neroon Kot, a town which had fallen to the armies of Muhammad Bin Qasim.LocationLocated at 25.367 °N latitude and 68.367 °E longitude with an elevation of 13 metres (43 ft), Hyderabad is located on the east bank of the Indus River and is roughly 150 kilometres (93 mi) away from Karachi, the provincial capital. Two of Pakistans largest highways, the Indus Highway and the National Highway join at Hyderabad. Several towns surrounding the city include Kotri at 6.7 kilometres (4.2 mi), Jamshoro at 8.1 kilometres (5.0 mi), Hattri at 5.0 kilometres (3.1 mi) and Husri at 7.5 kilometres (4.7 mi).

Really need improvement. The hygiene is very bad. The cleanliness is poor. The staff is corrupt and will look to mint money from passengers. The only good thing about this station is that all trains be it express or passenger stop here in both UP and Down journeys. The entrance of station sometimes overflood by nearby drain posing a serious threat to the track and safety of trains.

One of the oldest Railway stations of Pakistan. A major train station as most of the tracks to and from Karachi pass through Hyderabad Station. Although infrastructure/ Building needs an upgrade or renovation work is required yet it is quite beautiful building. Station is mostly crowded which causes less and bad sanitary/Cleanliness conditions. Station management is reluctant to monitor overall security and public safety conditions. Railways staff is mostly less educated and do not cooperate with passengers but Many of them are well behaved and helping.
