Management needs to figure out a better way to serve customers at this location. They make you wait in line outside no matter the weather and they have a wait list thing you can sign up for but they arent actually using it. Its there for you to scan, sign in, and wait in your car but they arent actually using it. Not sure why they would have that and not use it but alright. Youd think that a computer store would have a tech solution for this. Or better yet do curbside pick up like everyone else
The staffs are always willing to help, taking the initiative to ask if we need assistance but not too much to make us feel pressured into buying. Computer parts are priced a tad higher than online store but reasonable since it is a brick and mortar store with many staffs. They have also take extra precautions to implement covid-19 safety procedure. Even though it is inconvenient sometimes (long queue) but it is understandable during these pandemic times.Highly recommended to support local store business.
Matt S. was super helpful for my boyfriend and I’s visit. We had a budget in mind for both of our PC builds and he kept us significantly under that budget, while also giving us suggestions for the best products to use. We came in an hour and a half before they closed and were there til about 30 minutes after they closed, including checking out. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and truly made us feel like we were getting the best products for our builds. We’re building them now and we’re so happy!
Micro Center has always been a go-to of mine for years, ever since Circuit City and Highland Superstores left the Houston market. The place is well-stocked, has competitive prices, and excellent selection. But this review, I want to point out another plus - good customer service. My last visit I bought a fitness tracker that was on sale. Nothing special about that (except for the 10% discount). But the guy who rung me up, Preston T., was really nice. We chatted briefly about my purchase, his first purchase of a large, flat-screen TV, and one or two other things. We ended the conversation and the sale with a fist-bump. Thanks, Preston! It is so rare to encounter real people in corporate retail. Micro Center knows who to hire. If youre tired of hyped up folks or having to search down aisles to find good help, you need to start shopping at Micro Center.
Rudy is an amazing manager. I waited in line and realized I needed something else. He said “no problem ma’am go get your item and come back to the front of the line”. I did just that. I haven’t experienced top notch customer service in a long time. Rudy moved quickly and efficiently with not only me, but with other customers as well. Y’all need to give Mr. Rudy a raise because he is your money maker. Not only was Mr. Rudy kind, but the lady with the curly hair outside was extremely nice. She guided people into the store quickly and efficiently. I wish I had of got her name. Thank you again. I will be back.
Micro Center has been a life saver during the Pandemic because it allowed me to pick up the necessary electronics to be able to work remotely. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and management makes sure the customers come first.
Mr. Miller is the General Manager of Micro Center here and truly exemplifies professionalism, kindness, and compassion. I was wondering how someone could be so good at their job, but noticing the USMC Marine Corps pin on his jacket, I knew where his strengths came from. I’ll be sure to stay loyal to this Micro Center for all my PC needs because of him.
Ernesto P. and Matt N. are the best! Ernesto was so nice and friendly when helping us with the voucher process. Matt was an absolute beast when going over our PC build! Id give these dudes 10 stars if I could!
Micro center is THE place for computer hobbyists who still like to assemble their own desktop machines. I’ve built two machines with the help of their knowledgeable staff, which listen to your demands and translate them to a list of components and a price estimate. It’s also a cool place to shop for laptops and monitors because, unlike shopping on Amazon, you can actually see and touch the items! Add to that a very extensive inventory and competitive prices, and you got yourself a winner computer store...
I Have always liked Micro Center for buying products, but I HIGHLY recommend not getting them to build you a new PC. The process was just really a negative experience. First, it took forever to get them to identity what I needed. Then I had a question, so I called. 45 minutes on hold until I finally gave up and sent them a text (one of the options). I never received a response from my text. A few days later they said the computer was ready, but that I owed a few hundred dollars more (than the $3k I had already spent) because the sales guy hadnt included a hard drive. Finally I went to pick it up, brought home and it didnt even have a power cord for the power supply. Once again, you cant get them on the phone and Ive been on chat trying to get someone to just confirm I can get just any power cord at a closer store, but I cant get to anyone. Horrible experience and Ill be buying from a competitor moving forward.Update- I got on chat and they said they would call me. That was two days ago. The chat request this time was because they didnt hook up one of the internal hard drives. Of course, the reason I paid them is to do this and I didnt know why it wasnt showing. I had to have an employee come to my house to figure it out as I wasnt taking it back. Furthermore, the case on it rattles. The fan is hitting the case. When I picked it up, the tech (who was in fact very helpful) told me not to put anything on top of the case because it can hit the fan and make noise. Turns out, this can happen without anything on top of it as well. Fortunately, my employee was able to correct this at least for now.
First time visitor and never coming back and never set foot inside. Went to the front to check in for the queue system. Was told to go wait in my car before I could even read a sign to know what to do by the greeter who was rude and was trying to clear the crowd. Waiting for 45 minutes with my family (wife and 4 kids) in the car and no call/text to let me know me know anything. There is nothing on the website that talks about a queue system or else I would have never driven 2 hours to come check out the amazing microcenter. Ill go to Amazon and best buy before buying anything from here.
I like Micro Center. Im not gonna lie, I usually go to Office Depot for electronics, even though they are an office superstore. But, if youre looking for a place of PURE electronics, Micro Center is your place. They mostly have anything you want. If they dont, go to their website and its there. I would encourage anyone to try MC at least once and youll like what they have there.
Best place to buy computer parts and the option of buying online then picking it up in store is great. The laptop selection is big and the monitor selection is also amazing. Its hard to find a fault to shop there except for its far from my house.
We were waiting in line at the knowledge bar at micro center when David one of the technicians was going through the line asking people what the problem was and was being very patient and helpful. general manager Steve asked us what the problem was and helped us install windows 10 in about 30 minutes. We were very blessed to have personal attention from the kind people at micro center.
Best place for computer everything. They could not help me with my Mac mini but everyone was very nice, patient and professional. I may go back and have it erased... I will see. This place is like a field trip of computer happiness... I just like to walk around. It is a little of a pain to get to but it is well worth it.
Marked a graphics card up $70 while Im standing there but sold the guy in front of me the card for the reduced price. When I asked for the same price, manager said no, price was incorrect. Not incorrect. They were just elevating to Neweggs pricing. Cost them way more than $70 though as I wont shop there again
Ok so this place is awesome. Its everything Frys USED to be. They have plenty of inventory and a great selection of maker electronics. Will definitely go back.
Ideal PC builder or lover environment. Overall part supply is to die for. Manager or possibly the store owner was very pleasant with helping me during the initial pandemic reopening opening. Used the items from here to build out the pc below. Drove 3 hours to experience the recommendations to the store. Worth it.
The store doesnt have a phone number or easy way to contact them and randomly closes for deep cleaning without communicating that to their customers and letting them know how many days theyll be closed etc... I literally wanted to go buy a laptop IRL today but its an hour away and i cant get ahold of anyone to know when it will be open again. Why would a store make it so difficult for a customer to literally give them their money? I dont mind being closed for cleaning but either offer curbside pick-up or COMMUNICATE when and how long youll be closed to your customers. Otherwise people waste their time driving all the way out to your store only to find out its closed. If we can see your inventory on ur website why not offer online ordering with curbside pick-up? If Wal-Mart can do it im sure a tech-savvy store like Microcenter can figure it out. Such incompetence....
I mean.... Its microcenter. Every techies favorite place! Awesome prices on most items I use everyday in my industry. Staff is also very helpful and nice, had some great interactions with a few!
If youve ever been their, then you already know. This place is the ultimate candy store for anything electronic.
Do not shop here! You can not trust these people. I ordered an arcade cabinet for store pick up. I got an email saying that it was ready for pick up. Then I received an email from someone at the store stating that the box was damaged and asking if I still want it. When I got to the store, it was not ready. I waited for 30 minutes and they told me they can not find it. One of the managers told me they will ship it to my home. I said ok. Then they changed their mind and told me I needed to come back at another time to repeat the same process. I explained that it was a 40 minute drive and that I did not feel safe in their store because it was so crowded during a pandemic. They refuse to ship it. The whole process felt like they wanted to discourage me from buying because it was on sale for half the price. First they said the box was damaged. Well if someone saw the box then why can they not find it? Then when I agreed to ship it, they refused to ship it. Then I checked the item again a few days later, the same item was in stock for full price. What a fraud! By the way, the manager’s name is Nester. I heard him on the walkie talkie telling the other manager to ship it.
Great place to go to find what you need. They even carry very niche items for makers.
I am a 20+ years Micro Center customer, bought almost all my computer staff from them. Recently I bought their service plan thought got protected but got robbed instead. My laptop screen started pop up after 2 months of use, I asked for the refund so that i can buy another one from somewhere else, they did not refund your 2 years service plan AND NOT REFUND TAX! i loose $200+ by trusting their so called service plan. Oh did I mention they only refund you Micro Center gift card! I would have spent 200 more buy a better laptop. Do not believe their service plan, it will be nothing but giving them another chance to rob you!!!
Has a great selection of electronics and computers. My main reason for visiting so often is the availability of certain computer parts and accessories. Im like a kid in a candy store when I walk in and could hang around for hours. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Love this place. So much of everything you want and need....tech heaven. Always so busy so I recommend purchase online and pick if youre in a hurry. If not take your time tons to see and do.
My favorite electronics store. Always stocked and great selections. Very competitive pricing. Wish I lived closer to this store.
If I could give a 0 I would.. Ordered Galaxy 10 tablet online, gave credit card #, got confirmation, went to pick up at the store she said the order was canceled. I checked online said it was still ordered .. I had the option to pick up or have mailed decided to P/U when I ordered online. it said reserved. Now I cant even order it online, says for pick up only in another state. The lady at the store kept trying to blame me said I did something wrong. I had the confirmation for Houston, TX . They canceled it. Ordered on a Saturday afternoon went to pick up on Tuesday morning. as of today I have never got an email from them about anything. what a joke..
Make sure to come 3 hours early for a chance to get in! Came at 6:30 to get in, turns out they closed at 7pm despite nowhere saying that on here nor their site. Fun!
I really have alot to say about micor center but not to many good things. I like their inventory except for the fact of the 3000 series cards but otherwise it is decent. When it comes to the employees there are some of the higher managers and assistant managers that are not polite to you and undermined the fact that you are a paying customer. I waited for 5 hours in a line just to get a graphics card and I had gotten one but it is not the exact one I wanted because it is a little over my budget but its a great card. They also bumped up the price of the. And roughly $50. But what made me frustrated and a few others is the fact that they dont tell you what the stock is even when you are in the line. They tell you last minute and are very rude about questions and so on. I also met great people who were waiting for the 3080 but they did not get it because there was not stock, but that was a lie because as I was buying the graphics card I saw about 5 3080s. I would assume that they would be honest with their customers but that is not the case. I hope they can improve on their customer service and about 30 percent of the employees behavior.
A computer world in Houston town only with every parts you can find easily.
I admit it - I hadnt considered Micro Center until they began closing the local Best Buy.But, I wish I had before now. Its really a great place. The store is well stocked with labeled shelves, staff that are helpful and knowledgeable and all in all is a great place to do for technology shopping.
Posting this review in hopes that someone from higher up reads them and can help me out. I purchased an LG Gram 17 from their store 6 weeks ago, and when I did, I was promised that all of their computers sold were to be repaired on site, in fact, I was told that this was what set them apart from their competitors.Fast forward to now, my $1600 computer, which is less than two months old, has a key that has separated from the laptop. I bring it in to the store only to be told that;A: Microtech is not certified to repair LG laptops,B: For what ever reason, a key separation is not covered under manufacturer warranty. What this means is that I am stuck with a laptop that is already breaking down, and the only chance I have to get my purchase taken care of was to go through LG customer service. Now, warranty aside, what kind of company would allow something like this to occur. You can clearly see the laptop has not been abused. I had every intention of fulfilling my final Christmas shopping at micro center but honestly I dont want to give my money to a business that wont take care of me.Once again, upper management, if you are reading this, please feel free to reach out.
Terrible experience! Went there for laptop repair. They charge you 40 bucks for diagnostics and promise you an ETA of 24-48 hours. Long story short after 7 days they hadnt touched the laptop and tried to lie with stuff like - the motherboard is not working - $800 to replace it. I would have believed him but I asked if the technician can check if the hard drive is working and got a chance to speak with him. He told me home office wants us to tell you 1-2 days for repair, but realistically it is not possible. Also he happened to admit he hadnt touched my laptop until my 3rd follow up visit today. 0 stars for business ethics, I would never do business with them again. I wonder how many old folks with no computer knowledge they have cheated with their lies all these years. First time at Micro Center and definitely the last!
I found exactly what I needed in less than 10 minutes. Staff were friendly, helpful, and readily available. The checkout was also fast, and the cashier was also nice and and helpful. The prices are very fair, and the size of the store requires less walking and navigating than larger stores do.
Amazing Experience!!! Very knowledgeable staff, helpful and friendly, with great prices. Recommend to anyone in the area to shop at for their Tech needs.
I love Microcenter. Even during theyre busiest time, somebody is always checking to see if you need help. Very helpful and friendly employees. And they have everything electronic. Computers, TVs, Video games and systems and every accessory you can think of. Definitely your one stop shop for your electronic needs.
I visited on 11/9/2020 at around 9pm. There were 6 employees in the headphones aisle with their masks on their chin inches from each other and blocking the entire aisle. I tried at least 3 times to try and browse this aisle but it was inaccessible due to the several non-socially distanced employees.200,000 Americans are dead and it’s clear no one at this store cared. The entire store was a hot mess. Clearly lacking a GM or manager that could orchestrate the hot mess of a store where products are strung about everywhere, lacking price tags or any organization. It was clear that they were remodeling or something but no one seemed to care or manage the 6 employees all straightening the headphones literally on top of each other. This was my first time at Micro Center due to an ad I saw. I’ll give it another go soon and update my review. But I didn’t feel safe and couldn’t shop a good portion of the store.
Good selection of electronics, lots of accessories, little more expensive than Frys but cheaper than BestBuy. Customer service is ok.
One of the best places in Houston to find all your technical needs . They beat most prices plus they price match too. Usually all the employees can help you find what you need .
This location is well stocked and conveniently located. Lots of free parking. A little crowded for my comfort during the Pandemic. So order online for in-store pickup if you can. The pickup was relatively fast.
Horrible customer service Have never seen so many employees avoiding eye contact when they can clearly see that you are lost and have no idea where anything is Went for the second time this week to look for some material that my daughter needed for a school project I saw a couple of guys busy talking to each other when I asked where the part was they just told me any aisle number just to get us going apparently because that was no help at all To HR I really wish I could give your store a 0 star because the customer service there is trash ONLY person who actually approached us and asked if we needed help was a young gentleman by the name Jalon didnt really get his last name because I was so upset by that time. His performance was great but the rest of your employees should really get some Customer Service training because their service is TRASH!
Great service as always from this location. I had some issues with my warranty but it was straightened out by Matthew Deal. He was very helpful and patient. Definitely a great guy. I left there very happy!
Ryan Nall (Service Manager) is the manager that EVERY company in the corporate world needs to have on their team! He and his team kept me updated with the progress of my repair, informed and educated me on the technical aspects of my repair, and offered solutions that solved my problems. They saved me money and fixed my problem. What I most appreciate about his expertise is that he took the time to listen and offer the perfect solution, confirming my choice to continue to choose Micro Center as my #1 electronics solution, both business and personal. I look forward to continuing to purchase from Micro Center and in referring him/them to my colleagues, family, friends, and strangers.
Theres no phone number listed on here or Google or your website. The only option is to text a number that directs you to a FAQ section on the main corporate website. This is a poor business decision. I would much rather buy from this local location but theres no way to find out if the laptop and other equipment I want is in stock or not and if its not when it will be. This is how you drive business to online orders.
Ryan and Almarya from the service team did my coolant flush in one day when they originally told me it would take 30 days to do since they had two tier 5(custom water cooled build) ahead of me. They finished it the same day which tells me they worked together to get that done first! What dedication! Great service and was highly impressed! Thank you so much Ryan and Almarya
THEY ALWAYS CLOSE WITHOUT NOTICE. THE HELP AMAZING BUT MANAGEMENT IS TERRIBLE. THIS has happened on multiple occasions, AND there is no PHONE NUMBER to try and call the store ahead of time.EDIT; after realizing they closed for deep cleaning, I let my anger go, I went the next day and was able bro get the help I need. Thanks Micro Center
Love this place! Great gear at good prices and helpful staff.
Manager At the door, sent half the line ( 10-15 people) home because he couldnt Serve everyone. Its 6:45 when he has told everyone to go home, store closes At 9 PM. Really unprofessional. And i have spent a lot of money at micro center. Very disappointing and disrespectful to send everyone home. Lost a couple of thousand dollars in sales. Great staff.
Great inventory, small chain when compared to Best Buy and Fry’s. But beyond exceptional.I noticed they’re always the first to have new things.
Second time going to this location to pick up a gaming monitor that I had reserved online and once i got there. I had to sign up on a wait list to be able to get in, I was waiting for more than 3 hours for a text to be sent to my phone. I went to go talk to the staff that was in front of the store and they told me it was a 30-40 min wait and i discussed my situation with them and they just told me to sign up again and i done it 3 times and still havent got a confirmation text to be able to get in the store so i ended up leaving and buying a monitor else where. Great technology store nonetheless but the wait is ridiculous. I suggest coming when they open, far less people.
This place is amazing. If youre looking to build your own computer or pickup peripherals this is the place to go. Best selection and stock levels of any electronics store in Houston. A+
I went there looking for a tool that they said in stock online. It was a finishing heated tool for 3D printing. I went to one isle the web site said it was on. I could not find it. One guy asked if he could help me. I showed him on my phone the tool. He looked as well. He said let me look in the system. When he returned he told me it was on isle 15. I said thanks. And proceeded to islec15 I get there it was not there. After awhile of looking another young man asked if i needed any help. I said sure. Showed him the tool. He says it is not on this isle and directed me back to the original isle I was on. I told him we have already been there and was told to come here his response was well it not here and walked away saying to my son he is mad. After about 15 minutes of looking around for the tool some else asked if they could help me i showed him the tool. I said I really needed one to finish my project. He looks at me turns and walks away asking another guy if he needed help. Very unprofessional. For for a point this is the only bad review have have ever done. I was willing to spend the $100 at the store and could not get any help so I left very upset without what I needed.
Friendly staff and great customer service. They always have what I’m looking for and if they don’t they will find it.
Very pushy sales people. Was given an email address by an employee so I can email him about a product after thinking about purchasing over the weekend. Emailed that I was ready to purchase and never got a reply. Reserved it online, and took a while for someone to help me and get my stuff. If you know what you want/need, this place has everything for you. But if you are going here expecting that they will help you find what youre looking for, they wont. They work off of commission and will try to sell you everything.
Micheal at the build a pc section was able to answer all my questions about upgrading my PC. Great customer service Definitely recommend micro center
How is this place in business in 2020? First time coming here, I took in my iMac for repair and told I would get an update on next steps within two business days. It’s been a week of no communication and you can’t even get anyone in that giant store to answer the phone. If you text the number you get an auto reply and no action. Picking up my computer tomorrow and going elsewhere. I really wanted to give this place a try.
Have pretty much everything you need for a computer. Staff is very helpful.
Blown away by the hospitality and knowledge of this store. My 12 year old son wanted to build a gaming pc. We went to the micro center a few days ago and purchased all of the components at the build your own section. A very nice associate helped us to get the correct parts that would work together. My son and I set home to tackle our first ever PC build. With each wire we connected new lights and fans would turn on and our confidence grew. That is until the dreaded Windows install.... It said there was no driver. I spent the entire day consulting Reddit and YouTube and tried several dozen “fixes”. I was getting nervous I had a pretty box that lit up for $1100 sitting in my house.I decided to make an appointment at the knowledge bar. We walked up to the counter and a tall gentleman with a cowboy hat asked us what our problem was that led us there today. We later learned his name is Steve and is the GM there. He could help us directly but he called over Chris P from the build your own section and he did his magic and got it to work. He didn’t even make us feel bad about our horrible wire management skills; even though he must have been cringing the whole time .The manager made us feel like true guests of the store even though it was crazy busy. I was never made to feel like a burden. He also treated his staff with great respect and was always cracking dad jokes which is always a plus!!
Wish it was organized a little better, but I have NEVER left this place without what I came in for. Any missing part you need us here, but be sure to use price match to other major retailers.
Horrible customer service... store manager wasn’t any help neither.. paid over thousand dollars for a Computer and ant virus software that doesn’t fully protect my computer and the techs, supervisorand store manager had an nonchalant attitude towards helping with the problem.I heard a lot “i’m sorry” which didn’t help fix my issues.
Found everything I needed (and a few I didnt) with ease. It was crowded and had a long checkout line but we only waited a couple of minutes. Plenty of employees available and eager to assist. Prices very low compared to online ordering. Only paid $25 for a power supply compared to $60 for the same online. Highly recommend.
Great experience during covid. I had a return to make. While they could not answer the phone, they did have live chat through text that was great and were very helpful in ensuring my return/exchange could be made. Needless to say I ended up upgrading and spending more money. Great store, management, and better to shop here than online as I wouldve waited longer in dealing with shipping and waiting for service from online.
I love micro center they have nice customers and I just built my pc and all my parts were good.
Many times this is the only place you can find the things youre looking for but the store is in constant disarray and several times they have had items marked with one price and charge for another. Then they remove the sign and font honor the price.
Ive been to the store for a quick visit, and it looks great but unfortunately I had to leave since, I had an appointment. I want to ask if they can build my PC. I had all my parts bought from amazon and other stores. If I bring the parts here, will they be able to build it for me? If they can how much will it cost?
Got a good deal on a printer. Customer service was great.
I left Micro Center with the best news.Unfortunately they didnt carry the unique phone charger that I needed. They were able to help me find where I could purchase the charger.I had been searching for months with no luck.
An Execellent place to get your PC or pieces to build it with so many good mouse and keyboards
Overall great service. Went on a Sunday to buy parts for a pc build and had to wait about 30 minutes in line which was actually pretty fast since there was about 70 people in line. Had to wait a bit to get any help from the staff but that was expected since this was during peak hours. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I actually had to return the parts I bought due to an error on my end. Return was accepted no questions asked.
They had what I was looking for. I needed a replacement cord for my portable bluetooth. Also a mount for my phone I use in the car.
My husband loves going here if he needs to get things he needs for school or when he is building his own PC , staff are decent, check out is fast
Good place for your gadgets but theres only one in houston so expect it to be busy all the time.
They repaired my daughters MacBook pro. The speaker replacement price was great, the keyboard replacement was what made the repair so expensive. It was ready before school started. No complaints!
Always appreciative of this stores wide range of computer parts and of course their knowledgeable staff always willing to help find items and offer advice/suggestions
Really great and friendly service! They gave me great recommendations. Micro Centers stock is awesome and their prices are pretty competitive too.
Awesome freebies. Also managing crowd efficiently
Its Micro Center... They have figured out how to have a retail establishment and stock actually desirable computer enthusiast components at competitive prices. They support the enthusiast community on YouTube and elsewhere with advertising, and theyre doing honest competitive business the right way. What else can you say?
These guys are amazing and knowledgeable. I went in not knowing exactly what I wanted and I left with the most amazing computer ever. Im typing from it now. Worth every penny. I forgot who was it that was there that came to say hi to me and my friend while we were shopping. I know he was important because he had on a super nice suit LOL Anyway, he didnt hesitate to say hi and he was very kind. Thank you MicroCenter!
I bought the wrong computer. I brought it back assuming I would have to fight it out. They were so helpful and allowed me to get the correct one. I was shocked at the high level of customer service. D Melton.
Still out of new graphic cards... dang scalpers >,> and for the reply, I live an hour away from micro center. So checking online does me no good. I ordered a 3070 online got a confrontation email and you guys canceled my order. So my business will go elsewhere
Very helpful and happy staff. Great selections. Has a lot of coupons so be on the lookout
This is my go to spot for computer and networking needs. They have a good selection of items and the staff is always willing to help even when you do not need assistance.
I love Micro Center! Efficient pickup and check-in process. Staff is very friendly and willing to help. I also redeemed a free 32 GB flash drive today. Im a happy customer!
Amazing store and staff! Beyond helpful and knowledgeable! I used to shop online but after visiting this store! Ill keep coming back! Id strongly recommend anyone to pay them a visit!
Love this electronics store! And its most knowledgeable attendants! You can always get the latest information you need or an advise for how to DIY. They will never cheat you!
I love and spend way too much money here.
I have purchased my laptop, built my super computer desk top and now my 49in Asus screen from Micro Center for 3 really important reasons.1. The quality of their products and the variety of choice.2. The consistency of great deals year round.3. The most important reason of them all. Every level of the Micro Center team in Houston exudes professionalism, a great and friendly attitude, and the expert knowledge. From the IT department to sales all the way up to their General Manager Steve Miller and even their people at Corporate. They treat you with respect, empathy, and the willingness to make things happen for you as a client. I can’t explain how impressed I am by this store and this company as a whole. Thank you guys. You have earned a client for life.
I start and end all of my builds here. Now that Frys is a joke, microcenter is the one real DIY game in town. They usually have what I need in stock. They do price match without any hassle.Their staff is generally knowledgeable and friendly.
They have great laptops here and flat screen televisions.
Super helpful staff and great pricing!
DO NOT GET YOUR COMPUTER REPAIRED HERE! I took my laptop in to get repaired on 11/22 and when I went in there was already a woman who was very upset with the repair consultant because they took months to repair her laptop and gave no type of notice. She found out after 4 months they had done no repairs whatsoever. I should’ve just took my laptop and ran but I was in desperate need of repair and they offered the best price. After sending my laptop in I tried calling after a week to check on the status (they told me they would call me). And you CANNOT get ahold of them over the phone! Their phone service constantly says they they are “busy” and HANGS UP on you. Mind you I am a business man and need my laptop to do my job. Having no updates on the progress can really make you antsy. Their texting service is horrible as well. They tried texting me to confirm pricing and seeing if I wanted to pay the repairs. I tried to text them to confirm and when I was finally able to get ahold of them a DAY AFTER SPAMMING THEIR PHONE, they said they did not receive my text. I kept trying to call the EVERY MONDAY and never got through. I had to physically travel to their store to check on the status of my laptop and the person there had no clue on the status of my laptop. He said a technician would call me later that day and guess what? THEY NEVER CALLED. After waiting 2 MORE WEEKS I finally got a call saying my laptop was ready to be picked up. He then was explaining to me how there’s gonna be a charge for 0 dollars for a new screen on my laptop because the repairman “accidentally dropped it” you would think after dropping someone’s $1200 dollar laptop you would think to call and tell them that the repair would take longer and even maybe APOLOGIZE? when I finally revived my laptop I noticed they replaced the entire TOP HALF of my laptop. I had a small dent on the back of my laptop from dropping it a very long time ago and it was completely missing. They had to replace the entire top half. The customer service is a joke and they take extremely long to repair your laptop. So if you’re looking for a place who’s gonna give you bad service, take forever, probably drop your laptop and break it more than it already was, sure come get your laptop fixed at micro center. If I could give y’all 0/5 stars I would
Nice guy named Alan helped us it was really dope, easily was able to find a new CPU Cooler by CoolerMaster and also the Lian Li motherboard cables!
All the staff was great but for the Apple section for iPhones. The young man with short black hair, cant remember his name, who worked Saturday afternoon was lazy at best. He didnt want to touch our phone because he said he had been touching a lot of stuff. Well, sanitize those hands and help my 80 year old mother. He had us do it and all he could come up with was to reset the phone and goodluck! For an Apple rep he was no better than me at it.
Im far from computer savvy and literally had no idea what I needed before I walked into Micro Center. I was so pleased to be greeted before I could make it too far into the store and the employee took me straight to where I supposed to be before handing me off to an expert in that area. I walked in and out with what I needed in under 10 min! Excellent customer service! This is my go to computer store from here on out.
The only place to buy computer parts and tech. The guys here know what theyre doing.
They are not handling COVID well. Inventory is not up to date internally. I ordered some thermal paster for in store pick-up. They had 5 in stock and confirmed my order. When I wen to pick it up they could not find it.They were completely useless in offering any solutions. This isn’t the microcenter it used to be before COVID
Great experience, ordered online and picked up in-store. There was a line, but went on a weekday.
As far as Inventory , Micro Center is an amazing place for any computer, techie, home security, diy type person. Now customer service, professional staff, management itself is severely lacking. The first day I went here, manager responsible for dept. hosting various computer monitors acted as if he could not be bothered by questions. He then berated one of his employees right on the showroom floor. Very uneasy first experience. But still purchased a few hundred $ in merchandise. Second time traveling to Micro, I was greeted by an obvious plain clothes security who followed me around making sure I knew he was watching me. When I confronted him he simply responded I can watch whoever I want to in my store. I politely replied to him a FU and of course he ran to go get security. An old man past retirement. There was no need, I was headed for the door. I will recommend Micro Center to anyone. Frys Electronics, Best Buy, Amazon for me. I own my own business and love electronics. Not everyone working there has got a bad attitude but did run into a couple of floor salesman who acted like they wanted to be anywhere else than there. Even with the plethora of goods, I would have to say the environment there is stale and not very inviting.
