Just got my HP Velotechnik Gekko back after they installed a new power assist on the trike. It works great, I have to complement there staff, especially Matt for figuring it out after initial issues with the unit. I look forward in riding it with the new power assist. I’m not getting any younger as I turn 70 this year and should extend my enjoyment in riding for years to come.

This shop is always on my list, ever since its Stella Link days. Theyre very organized and well informed. Even though like everywhere else they have like no bikes due to the pandemic, theyre happy to talk bikes with you, and to at least try to give you a sense of when theyll be getting stuff in. One of the best shops of any kind I’ve ever worked for. The rest of the staff have been supportive and helpful as I learned about the Viking world these last eight months I’ve been working here. They have provided classes for my better understanding to become a better sales person and gain knowledge about many different brands of bikes and their componentry. I am a DJ that lost all of my gigs at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and I’ve been able to maintain employment through them since it is very difficult for all of us to get unemployment while everybody was searching for the same thing. I’ve lost a couple of family members call and the owners of the shop then rock solid and giving me the time to grieve and take care of his family affairs. I don’t know how long I will be here but I do know that I have been very happy to maintain my employment here and it’s got me back into the sport of biking which I wanted to do anyways now with a proper education on general biking. I’m certainly going to be biking for life and I will stick by the shop from here on out!

We needed a small torque screw cap for our Cannondale. Very small, cheap, and insignificant part. But, it’s what we needed to get back on the trail. Even amid selling a fancy $10k Orbea bike, Adam still made time for us. First class service. And, everyone kept asking us if we needed help. We are grateful we found this place.

Just found a bike on FB marketplace. Wanted to get brakes and gears checked out. Called two other places and was either booked for a month or didn’t allow walk-ins or appointments for another two weeks! I called here because I’ve walked around here before and were very helpful, and they said just walk on in. Ended up buying new tires and tubes. Guess those other places lost out on sales!!

Have enjoyed each encounter I’ve had since purchasing a new ride here. From dealing with the owner during ride tests/purchase or with each service employee for repairs/checks/questions they’re always informative and quick to help. Simple servicing was always done the day I brought in my bike, often times when I was perusing the load of merch they have in the store. I’ve spent the last 5 years in Houston bouncing around other stores and finally found one where you just feel good there. Of note: bike stores are slammed and inventory is low across the nation...have patience with the people who want you back on the road as fast as you do. Ride on. My family and I arrived to repair a damaged bike, purchase both a new mountain bike and a vehicle bike rack, and investigate the three-wheel products for a possible special-needs solution. The staff was kind and helpful, and despite the busy pace of heavy customer traffic occurring during the chaos and challenges associated with the height of the COVID-19 season, they took excellent care of us.Upon arriving and taking the damaged bike back to the service techs, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they immediately corrected the problem with a simple, yet effective solution within MINUTES.One of the employees introduced us to the different types of trikes and recumbent bikes and answered all of our questions. We were mostly fact finding and made no decisions at this time regarding these types of bikes.We purchased the mountain bike, along with a kickstand, as well as a vehicle bike rack. Although we arrived near their closing time, we took a bit to make all of our decisions, and rung up after closing. Despite this, the stores service team double-checked the new bike, attached the kickstand, and adjusted both it and the seat post to properly fit my height. They also assembled the bike rack, attached it to my vehicle, and showed me how to properly secure both bikes within it.We were pleased and impressed with the staff. Even with the lighter-than-usual team of personnel (again, virus season), they quickly managed us and the heavy load of other customers with diligence, courtesy, and professionalism. The generous service agreement that comes with the purchase of a new bike was also a winner (free re-tune at 30 days, regular maintenance for the first 12 months, and discounted maintenance and repairs beyond).You will not be disappointed by this dynamic store.

I came into Planetary Cycles today to look at possibly purchasing a new bicycle. I was immediately greeted at the door and had all of my questions answered. I’ve been in several times recently, flat tire, some bike issues, accessories- staff very helpful & really appreciated Adam who was very helpful as walk in with repair issues.

The employee was rude and refused to help you fix your bicycle if they thought your problem was small and would not charge you a lot of money! Their attitude really frustrated me. Never go there again.

After walking into Planetary Cycles and not quit sure what I was looking for I desperately needed assistance in making sure I was making the right decision for my riding needs. Zach, a very helpful/knowledgeable salesman spent a good thirty minutes with me answering all my questions and allowing me to test a few bikes out. Upon finishing all my test rides and what seemed like hundreds of questions I made my decision. I Went home ordered my bike but realized I still needed a few more accessories to go with my bike, again Zach was there every step of the way and helped pick out everything I needed. I’d like to thank Zach and the rest of the staff for making this process and painless as possible.

This place is top of the line professional. Each individual I spoke with and had interaction with was totally dedicated to helping me out. I did not buy my bike from them, but had a problem with it under warranty. They went way out of their way to diagnose and repair the problem caused by another shop in another state! Most impressive was that they took my problem back to Giant and became my ambassador to them so I did not have to get involved. They kept me in the loop and solved the problem. All this happened months ago... I wanted to wait to see if the repairs were permanent. My bike works perfectly. Big thanks to Adam and his well trained and professional staff.

SUPPORT YOU LOCAL BUSINESSES!! AND THESE GUYS DESERVE IT TOO!!I dont normally review places, but the level of service here deserves mentioning. They welcomed us 5 minutes before closing and got us all outfitted with what we needed, and quickly. The stafff knew their stuff and even installed the cleats to the shoes for us, something they didnt have to do, and it was well after closing time.

I have always had good experience at the shop. The employees are always helpful. However, today I stopped by to buy a spare tube and I wasnt comfortable w/ what I saw. There were half a dozen customers in the store, all wore masks, including myself. However, 3 out of the 4 employees I saw didnt have a mask on and 2 were working the check out counters. After the receipt was printed, the employee who rang me up waited for the pen being used by the customer on the next cash register and then handed it to me to sign. She then asked if I wanted the receipt...Needless to say, I declined and tried to exit the store as fast as I could. There are no sanitizing solution at the exits either. Until I am sure that Planetary Cycles take proper steps to ensure the safety of both customers AND its employees, I will not visit the store.
