Situated opposite Jamma Masjid Ahl Sunnah at Saddar Bazar Gilgit, due to lack of space the police station remains overcrowded. There is hardly any space for visitors and complainants. The lock ups are insufficient for criminals /offenders seeing the fact that the crime rate within the jurisdiction of City Police Station is higher compared to other stations.

There are three police stations in Gilgit city.Jutial Police station, Caint Police station and city police station.This (city police station) station is located in main bazar and controls city area.
