Just amazing setup. Thank you Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission for this amazing, wonderful facility of Cancer Hospital. They are truly saving the population from the Cancer. People over there are most professional than every Hospital in the town. They dealing with the masses very carefully. They give detail orientation to the attendees of the patients.
Very good diagnostic and therapeutic centre as far as nuclear medicine is conscerned
Great, sophisticated environment. Good doctors specially Dr Baber
Every Employee is cooperative.
Top notch labs under the atomic energy commission
Very kind and polite doctors and they doing their very best they can do. Further they make your dues half at thier own by knowing your income level, no application nor by hurting your self respect
An extraordinary facility for cancer and hepatitis patients، incredible low price rates for multiple necessary loboraglab tests in comparison to Shaukat Khanum.
A very good and economical place for people of Pakistan where they can perform their tests at very economical rate as compared to market.
Good in terms of discipline and prices but blood sampling is far below standard. I am not sure if the lab. staff (in room 08) is qualified and trained enough but no one knows/follows the protocols and standard procedures. No measurement tools available for water and glucose measurement for oral glucose tolerance test. Staff asks you to buy packet of glucose from shop and roughly adds glucose in two small glasses without any proper measurement and then tells you to add water from out side. However water has to measured by some qualified person as well.No gloves are used before taking blood samples of the patients, which is pathetic and shows the level of responsibility. Some reports are ready for collect after so long i.e. Thyroid report is given after one week. Cost for this report is also very high.
Good lab service and reputation is good. Staff is very coaprativ and good.
Good staff, better environment
Nuclear medicine imaging uses small amounts of radioactive materials called radiotracers that are typically injected into the bloodstream, inhaled or swallowed. The radiotracer travels through the area being examined and gives off energy in the form of gamma rays which are detected by a special camera and a computer to create images of the inside of your body. Nuclear medicine imaging provides unique information that often cannot be obtained using other imaging procedures and offers the potential to identify disease in its earliest stages.Tell your doctor if there’s a possibility you are pregnant or if you are breastfeeding and discuss any recent illnesses, medical conditions, allergies and medications you’re taking. Depending on the type of exam, your doctor will instruct you on what you may eat or drink beforehand, especially if sedation is to be used. Leave jewelry at home and wear loose, comfortable clothing. You may be asked to wear a gown. What is General Nuclear Medicine?Nuclear medicine is a branch of medical imaging that uses small amounts of radioactive material to diagnose and determine the severity of or treat a variety of diseases, including many types of cancers, heart disease, gastrointestinal, endocrine, neurological disorders and other abnormalities within the body. Because nuclear medicine procedures are able to pinpoint molecular activity within the body, they offer the potential to identify disease in its earliest stages as well as a patient’s immediate response to therapeutic interventions.DiagnosisNuclear medicine imaging procedures are noninvasive and, with the exception of intravenous injections, are usually painless medical tests that help physicians diagnose and evaluate medical conditions. These imaging scans use radioactive materials called radiopharmaceuticals or radiotracers.Depending on the type of nuclear medicine exam, the radiotracer is either injected into the body, swallowed or inhaled as a gas and eventually accumulates in the organ or area of the body being examined. Radioactive emissions from the radiotracer are detected by a special camera or imaging device that produces pictures and provides molecular information. In many centers, nuclear medicine images can be superimposed with computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to produce special views, a practice known as image fusion or co-registration. These views allow the information from two different exams to be correlated and interpreted on one image, leading to more precise information and accurate diagnoses. In addition, manufacturers are now making single photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography (SPECT/CT) and positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) units that are able to perform both imaging exams at the same time. An emerging imaging technology, but not readily available at this time is PET/MRI.
Excellent Hosp. Good pt care
Excellent Nuclear Medicine facility, also Oncology practice is going here. But lack of Radiotherapy facility here...
